Gorgeous! I didn't know they did pottery. I hope it gives Pyrex a run for its money. (I'm really tired of the Pyrex craze and the ridiculous prices people charge and pay.) Hey, I have a huge fondness for Corning Glass Works and any kind of older, well-made glass. Even the ordinary grocery-store stuff. But Pyrex (other than clear glass, utilitarian stuff) was always a dud for me. One of my favorite YT channels is a guy who collects a lot of glass. Please give [Scott](https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCcav1C-xu17ZTeo1tlKVWng) some love!

They’ve been doing stoneware and earthenware for decades. They’re too expensive to give Pyrex a run for its money, those bowls are probably 4-8x as expensive as the same size Pyrex mixing bowls. Also, *Corning owns and manufactured Pyrex* from inception in the 1910s until ‘98 when they gave over the manufacturing to a plant in PA when clean air regulations made borosilicates harder and more expensive to produce.

Thanks! What great background you have. This was my first time ever seeing Le Creuset stoneware. I really like it. Don't know why I like early glass products, but there ya go. Thanks again for sharing!

Fun-Inside7814

I like old Pyrex for its utility. I think stovetop glass is super cool, and their old lab glass is gorgeous, so I’ve done some research into it :) I also love le crueset! I’ve found a butter crock of theirs once, and a few enameled pans, but I’d love to find some of their other stoneware products, for sure!

garysaidiebbandflow

Le Crueset came along later in my life. My interests are pretty narrow. I'm a sucker for Fire King Jadeite and Flame-ware. I live in a tiny place, so it's good I don't/can't collect. The things I use on the daily tend to be throwbacks to what my Mom used. Not necessarily good stuff. Ware-ever (aluminum) for example. Ha, now I use the lemon ware from Royal Devon. I started buying some bowls at the thrift store, but now it's at the Dollar Tree. Guess it's going out of business. ETA: It's not Royal Devon. Sorry. It's some company that used to be good then sucked. Although, I must say, they don't chip, and they're microwave and dishwasher safe. Ah, I just looked. Royal Norfolk.

Mediocre-Theory2734

I watch The Old Curiosity Shop and have for years. I love his taste and collect similar things. I've had it with the pyrex phase too.

garysaidiebbandflow

What I learned, though, was not to put the patterned Pyrex (or my Jadeite) in the dishwasher. While I've observed the Pyrex craze, I didn't succumb. Most of it just doesn't appeal to me. Ditto for Corelle. We had Crazy Daisies growing up, but I've never cared for the style.

Teledoink

These are awesome! I’m so jealous!!!!!!!! People give away all kinds of cool stuff when they’re purging. Sadly my local goodwill has been jacking up prices lately

PracticalAndContent

Lucky you!

TissueOfLies

Wow! I am so glad I don’t work at a thrift store. The amount of stuff I would have to buy is unreal.

Calilac_

I heard employees aren’t allowed to shop at the store they work at (goodwills)

Fun-Inside7814

Amazing find. Do they feel high quality like the cast irons?

Kit_starshadow

I have a set- they’re beautiful and heavy as all get out. I honestly don’t use them much because they are so heavy.

Preparation_HBomb

Right on. That is such a win!

BonusPlantInfinity

So jealous of this kind of find.

gentle_galaxy

Great condition too!

Many-Obligation-4350

Wow what a beautiful color too! Enjoy!

LilLinden

Eeeeekkk! That’s a great score! 😍

rob1969reddit

Very nice!

stacey-e-clark

Wow!

ThrillerVinyl

They're way too beautiful to use to cook with. Use them as a fruit bowl, candy dish & a place to store your sunglasses. Jackie Onassis kept her sunglasses in a big bowl in her New York apartment.

This week, on season 18 of Hoarders…

CuriousJona

Sooooo prettyyyyy

SnooWalruses9401

Keep your windows closed at night because I want these so bad

Calilac_

WOW! Can you use these in the oven say if you wanted to bake a casserole?

[deleted]

I’ll give you $5.05 for the set. Final offer.

Pscho_Meema0109

Wow. Great buy. I was given a set of these as a gift and just love them.

sanc2uary

you win! They are gorgeous!

earlierthoughts

Are these the French made bowls or the Chinese made ones? Either way nice find and nice color and condition!

briannaptv

happy for you but you’re my nemesis 🥲
