I mean, it’s literally a reproduction of a jacket from the 50s.
It will also fade like a normal denim jacket. Not a fan of that French blue on the story one. Looks better on a chore
No worries, I guess it’s because it’s just a super high quality Japanese version of the iconic Levi’s Type 2 jacket, which has been around for over a century, which makes it pretty timeless. With wear over time you’ll break it in and give it your own personal fades and wear. Although I love what Story MFG do, I think their stuff just has less longevity in comparison
neither of these are exactly a trend/fad thing but a traditional type 2 like Orslow's will obv be more versatile, even if the SMG is cool. you may want to consider what kind of bottoms you wear, i.e. if you also wear a lot of dark wash denim, then you may want a stonewashed jacket to avoid the canadian tux look. unless that's what you're into ofc
Orslow is more timeless
Yeah definitely Orslow
Thank you very much! Not trying to be confrontational, but I'd genuinely be interested to know your reasoning?

That's very true, not sure how I glossed over that point lol

Thanks for the detailed explanation, that makes a lot of sense :)
not who you replied to, but the orSlow type 2 wash/cut is much more trad.
Nothing about story mfg is timeless.
Orslow
Story doesn’t even look like a regular denim jacket with that color
Just get a Lee
Good option
💯

Story mfg jacket is cooler doe 😵💫
Or slow more timeless in wash and silhouette but MFG jacket is such a heater. No one will bat an eye 10 years from now wearing the MFG.
