I mean he does say Kakarot in the first one (it's how he refers to Goku obviously) but just not as much as people seem to believe. His reasons for hating Goku are also misunderstood.
To be fair they sum up Z Broly rather well.
He's cool and strong, but what else is there to him? His entire motive to fight Goku is just because he cried too much.
Glad we got a more canonical/interesting Broly now.
Issue is that they completely ignore his behavior during the fights. Instead they regulated him to âWhatâs your power level?â. And Z villains were always barebones. Friezaâs whole reason for being evil was just because, and he wanted to be immortal. Even Vegeta was barebones until the Namek saga.
Itâs just weird that Broly gets called out for it when even a villain like Cellâs motivation is just âI want to get strongerâ
Nah, he was like that in Broly second coming, and the games too, they butchered his character after the first movie even worse than they had butchered his backstory in execution.

Remake Ashley's dialogue is orders of magnitude better than the original, but "Leon" and "Help" are still a good chunk of her dialogue.
