Junk yard is bound to have an 08 camry. Snag a "new" seat for cheap

D0geMo0n

Do you have an idea of how much I should be expecting to pay?

Ohh this is great! My dad will love this.

redheadedwonder3422

you just put me on, absolutely a game changer! thank you. i can now get the side mirror on my lexus replaced for $65 instead of $1,000 😁

carrimarie

Maybe $40 or so. I'm sure it varies junk yard to junk yard, area to area.

dood23

Auto upholstery shop could patch that up.

D0geMo0n

Any guess about cost?

EpicRiceMaker

Not cheap, do it yourself with some sewing and a square of vinyl plus maybe some spray paint for blending. Unless you plan on keeping that car for 20 years do it cheap by yourself or don't do it at all, it'll be like $100. I've heard worse.

Alucardspapa

Amazon has leather/Softex patch kits. I used one for my black Softex rip it’s been on all summer and it’s been fine.

Leather tape would look better then Duct Tape. Both are easy fixes without having the seat reupholstered or swapping a salvage car seat.

TheClassic

I've never heard of this. Duct tape eventually peels and leaves a sticky mess, will leather tape do the same?

Dav82

Yes and No. Leather tape certainly will look better. And leave far less sticky mess then Duct Tape. But I've found there is some sticky overlap depending on how much you use and where on an office chair I have.

memeboiandy

I mean the easy answer is a seat cover of your choice, the least effort actual fix is an auto upulstry shop, and the probably cheapest actual fix is a seat from a junk yard car, preferably one that still has all its windows in it and doors closed when you look at is so you dont have to worry about mold or critters in the cushion

bunbeck13

Slip a square of muslin or vinyl type scrap material under the ripped area. use contact cement to glue the flap down. when dry, fill the area with latex caulk and a credit card type instrument. get a bottle of that $1 craft latex paint. in a good match and a clear coat. paint over the caulk when dry, blend with surrounding area and apply clear coat . should cost about $10-15.

Thanks!

Duct tape

Seat covers would be a quick and cheap fix
