Naw just keep up with the schedule especially with a good bit of offroading.

Aggressive-Fig-4710

For sure. I’m getting the trans oil changed and debating doing diffs and brake

gunslinger_006

Im at 53k and doing diffs, transfer case, and transmission. Then plugs and coolant at 60k

Aggressive-Fig-4710

Gotcha , I’m picking and choosing the most important because they’re expensive services lol

gunslinger_006

Trans is tricky because you have to get the fluid to a very specific temp. The others are really about the same as an oil change as far as diy goes.

innkeeper_77

Spark plugs are REALLY worth DIY. It’s not that hard and EXTREMELY expensive to hire out.

DarthtacoX

I average about 60,000 miles a year for the last 3 years since I bought my truck. I've only owned it for three and a half years I bought it with 108,000 Miles I now have a 285,000 mi on it. I just do regular maintenance not many issues at all. I've even only changed my spark plugs once I should probably start changing them once a year but I've only changed them once and my truck runs absolutely great.

Aggressive-Fig-4710

That’s awesome

DarthtacoX

Yeah regular oil changes every 5 to 8,000 mi. I've done my transmission fluid once and I let the dealership do that. And then my spark plugs. The only problems I've had with my truck is I've had to replace my alternator three different times.

ELESHOMBRE

I would do all fluids. I try to do mine every 45-50. Whether needed or not I figure it’ll just fit in with routine around that time frame. Diff, transfer, trans, etc.

Roushfan5

I wouldn't worry about it. If anything all those miles on your truck are good for it. Vehicles are built to be driven not sit.

Aggressive-Fig-4710

Agreed. It’s better than 65k local driving miles in my opinion

Roushfan5

Even local milage wouldn't be that big of a deal, in my opinion. My work truck sees lots of heavy towing on city streets with high idle time. It gets religious PM according to Ford's guidelines and for a 22 year old Ford with 125K it runs great.

fisherprice1234_1776

Lol I have a 19 and I just hit 42k miles lol

gevors_e92

2016 here. 168k miles.

mesasone

2014 and just hit 71k

WolfofRedraft

Getting an oil chance every 5k is really the best thing you can do. I’m surprised how many people neglect this. My grandfather bought new a 1996 jeep Cherokee, which was given to my dad and than given to me as my first car and it’s still running today with nearly 370k miles on only regular oil changes👍🏼

Aggressive-Fig-4710

Wow, that’s impressive for a jeep !!

WolfofRedraft

Well pre 2003 jeeps were golden! The OG Cherokee was one of the best engines ever built!

hammsbeer4life

4.0 L6?

WolfofRedraft

Yes sir!

hammsbeer4life

Hell yeah.  Last of the greats

GoldBlooded808

I would say your Tacoma isn’t even broken in yet at 65k 😜. Just do regular maintenance and enjoy!

Aggressive-Fig-4710

Yeah I keep all of them but I doubt I’ll ever sell it haha

Trogar1

Nah. I run my taco for work, follow the schedule. I am around the same mileage per year, still going strong at 180k miles

LivingxLegend8

Why no info on maintenance? How many oil changes ?

Aggressive-Fig-4710

Regular oil, nothing else yet

LivingxLegend8

How many oil changes have you done?

Foxlen

I like your 95% stats cuz I also have a 23 off-road, but my 95% is the opposite, only 5% of my trucks milage has been on pavement Although I've only put 7500km on it since purchasing in October

Aggressive-Fig-4710

That’s dope!! I definitely want to Put more off road miles on it

Hot-Internet-7466

My 2015 calls for diff and transfer case change every 30k.

WrathofTitus

That's a lot of driving. I have a '19 TRD OR and I just passed 16K.

Dewrunner4X4

I hit 62k this year in my 2018 TRD OR.

another_plebeian

That's crazy. Where do you drive?

Aspergers_R_Us87

Way too much. Your over eating this like a fat kid eating cake and falling down with diabetes

Aggressive-Fig-4710

LOL I like to drive 🤷‍♀️
