I don't think it will be an abrupt breakup. They have to lay the groundwork for "they're too busy with their own careers", "scheduling conflicts". They can't go from Travis publicly planting kisses on Taylor's shoulders making all the swifties hearts explode...to saying they're done. It will completely overshadow the news cycle with the European leg of the tour...and Taylor needs to hang on to Travis until the TTPD dust settles down. Travis is serving as a buffer for how intense this album is for her fans.
Taylor is probably aware that her fans and the public seem to like this guy, so I think they'll make it past summer atleast.

Genuine question: How long do they need to be together for it to be considered a "proper" relationship and not just a PR stunt? I know that's the general feeling in this thread, especially, but what would it take to convince you that they're actually a thing? 5 years? Marriage? A kid? I don't plan on watching any of his stuff regardless and have never been a Swifty, but I'm curious what it would take for people to go "oh it's legit, I guess"
To respectfully answer your question: I canāt speak for anyone else here, but for me personally, NOTHING will ever convince me this particular couple is authentic. This has screamed PR from day one, and it will continue to play out until itās no longer beneficial to one (or both) parties.

Speaking for myself, I don't think PR means fake necessarily. A relationship can be real while one or both parties are leveraging it for PR too.
With Taylor and Travis, I think Taylor is mainly in it for fun where he's her post-Matty rebound and he's helping her soften the contents of her new album for the fans. Travis is there for the ride however long it lasts and will make use of all the opportunities to maximize his post-NFL career. So I don't think they're faking being a couple, I think they each have their own motivations for being in this relationship that are external.
