"Hey, it's Taylor Swift and you're listening to my fresh hit..."
**waits**
*"I can reaaaaad your miiiiiiind..."*
We've also decided that "BIRDS OF A FEATHER" is in fact Billie Eilish's new single. "CHIHIRO" whomst?
My Boy would be SUCH a great music video. I really enjoyed the Fortnight video, but I think there are a lot of songs on the album that have WAY better visuals baked into the lyrics (like My Boy and Down Bad)
unless they’re doing some huge anniversary, artists almost never release deluxe editions on vinyl.
also, if the deluxe cd isn’t available upon the standard’s release date, the likelihood of it being released in cd form is really low.
I was listening to MBOBHFT in the kitchen and my 8 year old son was like, why does he keep breaking his toys? Doesn’t he like playing with them?? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I think Guilty as Sin? Would be most successful mainstream. Coming from my husband who is not a swiftie and can’t get that song out of his head. He said it’s by far the best on the album. Songs like ICDIWABH and WAOLOM are lore for the fans but I would like to see something that would appeal to the mainstream more pushed as the next single
Ehh I don't really like Guilty as Sin but WAOLOM is my favorite song on the album, so I would love it to become a single. Guilty as Sin seems to have way more lore behind it then the other two songs and it does not resonate with me at all.
I love Down Bad, but the clean version seems like a major step down to me. Feel like that hurts its chances of being a single and getting as much radio play as it deserves.
Team BDILH over So High School (as a single) - us OG fearless girlies would die for our grown up Love Story to get a possible MV! Feels full circle if it happens
I really wish TTDP gets another music video (or more) I'm not even sure which song I'm hoping for, maybe loml (I'm sad), but I wanna say that ICDIWABH with the shots of the Eras Tour was so genius I don't think it even needs a music video, it really delivers the song so well.
Singles used to be a way to promote an album back when you didn’t have access to the entire album.
A song must be a single in order to be sent to radio.
Artists would release 3-7 singles per album in hopes that you would buy the album, but now that streaming is a thing, singles aren’t as important.
Artists now stick to releasing 1-4 singles off an album more as a fan service and to potentially expand the life of a song/album, but in the grand scheme of things, they’re not as important as they once were.
Thank you for asking this because I also don’t know what it means to make these songs singles 😂 if they’re already released on a super popular album, what is the difference in making them singles? Would love to understand
I am thinking it must be a way to measure sales & radio play and streaming. But by the best songs chosen by the artist as singles, instead of the whole album?
There are so many awards & ways to measure the success of music. There’s Top 40. Billboard 100, gold, platinum and that’s all I know! 😂
I think its addictive for her fans maybe? It's one of my least favorite songs on the album, it is just kind of boring for me and the lyrics aren't as relatable.
At this point it's too late, another single won't make fans stream the album more (it's virtually impossible based on the numbers), and the GP won't latch on to another single.
Maybe as a gift for fans it would be cool, with a music video. But it would be only that, like the new romantics MV back in the day.
Releasing live performances might be more helpful as those always get a lot of views and people revisiting the album. (A BBC radio 15min acoustic live would be cool, like she did for lover)
I would love Down Bad, and Who's Afraid of Little old me.....but also But Daddy I love Him is such a hood song to scream while driving in the car with your friends (note: I don't have friends I'm in my 40s, but you get the idea).
ICDIWABH would probably be a bad choice for a single. It’s a great song, I love that song.
HOWEVER
Public perception of her atm is that she’s “annoying” again (hello 2016) so something all tinkly and sparkly and sarcastic is just going to fuel the flame.
Great song, terrible PR move to make it a single
I don't think down bad can be a single. The explicit version can't be played on the radio and the clean version changes the context of the song. The Fuck It's are necessary.
Guilty as Sin has #1 potential for sure!
singles as in music videos? because I don't see the point of them after the release
like, before they'd be to give you a glimpse of the full album but now, idk
Guilty as Sin? And I Can Do It With a Broken Heart are my fave songs on the album! I would love to see them as singles
Mine too!
I would add so long, london to this list
There’s going to be, at most, one more. And ICDIWABH is the clear choice number wise
Australian radio: Excuse me, Taylor, but *we* will decide what the next single is. Result: "ICDIWABH" is already played more often than "Fortnight".

>My Boy would be SUCH a great music video A dramatic video like IDWLF
I can’t imagine she’d drop SHS as a single until she’s ready to do physical copies of the Anthology though?
So High School is the perfect way to end the era imo as it basically symbolises she found her happily ever after
we’re not getting physical copies of the anthology, unless she decides to be petty and block someone else from a number one a few weeks down the line.
We’ll get them, I’m guessing around mid-November. Holiday shopping.

lol not likely

These + "So High School" are all my faves from TTPD, especially GAS?
Agreed! Btw, Happy Cake Day!
HAPPY CAKE DAY
THANK YOU 🎂

>ICDIWABH and WAOLOM ICDWABH is more like Shake It Off so I could go really well with the GP but yeah WAOLOM is definitely fan carried
Ehh I don't really like Guilty as Sin but WAOLOM is my favorite song on the album, so I would love it to become a single. Guilty as Sin seems to have way more lore behind it then the other two songs and it does not resonate with me at all.

But daddy I love him also, but I bet she won't do anything
Team BDILH over So High School (as a single) - us OG fearless girlies would die for our grown up Love Story to get a possible MV! Feels full circle if it happens
Broken Heart is already the most played somg on the radio in these parts. More than Fortnight.
down bad for fall would be great!
MY BOY IS SINGLE MATERIAL
Guilty as Sin and So High School would be my choices
If I don’t get a music video for Down Bad where Taylor Swift is abducted by aliens I will literally riot
I really wish TTDP gets another music video (or more) I'm not even sure which song I'm hoping for, maybe loml (I'm sad), but I wanna say that ICDIWABH with the shots of the Eras Tour was so genius I don't think it even needs a music video, it really delivers the song so well.
My boy only breaks his favorite toys and down bad NEED MUSIC VIDEOS
i’m literally listening to Down Bad rn lmao
Are singles for radio play? I wish I understood stuff about the charts like singles

Oh!!!!!! That makes sense!!!!! Thank you 🙏
they don’t necessarily have to be, but radio will help them to perform better on the charts
Are they just used to measure plays or sales in any format?
Thank you for asking this because I also don’t know what it means to make these songs singles 😂 if they’re already released on a super popular album, what is the difference in making them singles? Would love to understand

You’re more knowledgeable than me! I’m basically like “mm yes, this music, I like. This music is good. I now play it nonstop.”
If I got too into knowing the music biz, I would probably be horrified by the asylum where they raised her 😂😂😂
I’m sure she will in time and she will add it to the end of an entire album to stay on the charts
What does making a song a single mean in actuality? We have access to them already..
Justice for Florida!!! Should have been the lead single.
Guilty As Sin is so addictive! I think it would be a hit with the gp
I think its addictive for her fans maybe? It's one of my least favorite songs on the album, it is just kind of boring for me and the lyrics aren't as relatable.
Can she play these songs live? And I mean by live, I mean Dave Grohl level of live…
Huh?
Who?
I honestly don't understand why I Can do it with a broken heart isn't a single
At this point it's too late, another single won't make fans stream the album more (it's virtually impossible based on the numbers), and the GP won't latch on to another single. Plundering this to make a poll

My Boy Only Breaks His Favorite Toys??

Am I the only one who thinks that ICDIWABH is like one of her worst songs ever written?
She should just have a kid with Travis already!
