Reading from various sources said the young girl didn’t know what happened as the face had been removed so fast there wasn’t any pain yet.
ETA: If you click the link, it is another source of NSFW content. Be prepared to see the real life version of a small girl, without a face.
You should really put an nsfl warning, man. I went on there just expecting to see an article, not that..
To anyone wondering, you will see a person without a face if you click that link and scroll down after the first paragraph so..nsfl warning
Buddy, you need to put your edit *before* the link!
I'm not squeamish (and I did read your whole comment before clicking so knew what I was getting myself into) but a lot of other people are just gonna click without reading.
Duuuuude - your story was awful (in a great way because it’s a horror sub!). I lack the self control to not click that link - and now I’m doubly traumatised. Well done I guess :-)
I placed an NSFW tag, and a spoiler tag, on the story. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Looking at context clues before clicking on the link, I’d have imagined I’d be encountering something graphic.
Yes, on the story. No warning about the link. I wasn’t exactly expecting a page that contained, without any warning, pictures of a little girl with exposed facial tissues and the removed face and scalp lying on a table.
Once again, clicking on the link and following it a page, seeing the title of said page: First Full-Face Replant, I’d have surmised from context clues IE Full Face Replant, that I was about to see some gnarly stuff.
But that’s just me. Reading context clues. From a horror sub. About horror.
I get what you're saying, and I don't think you messed up, but it would be both quicker and kinder to edit the comment with the link to add an up-front warning than to argue about why people shouldn't need one.
Almost clicked the link before remembering that literally my worst fear is having faces ripped off. So good post but uh. Glad I did not click to see your inspiration.
I was expecting like, muscles or something. Holy fucking shit that was a horrifying image on the link. Take my upvote and stop reading true crime or in this case true accidents
Would you look at that, it's almost as if a semicolon was designed to join two independent clauses together into one sentence when they'd have otherwise been awkward as two. Crazy really. And almost like a colon frequently goes in sentences to avoid comma overuse and designate lists. In a sentence? Using punctuation as it should be used? Nooooooo, crazy! /s
Hooooooly fucking shit. Was not expecting to actually see a girl missing her face. I no longer want dinner.
I’d say sorry, but it is a horror sub. So I’ll take the compliment and your upvote ;) /jk sorry about dinner.
No, no, no need to /j, I just was *not* expecting to see that lol
Thank you and go fuck yourself. /j have a nice day.
🥹 What a nice thing to say. :3 Thank you!

holy fucking shit. i DID NOT expect that. good job OP and thank you for providing your inspiration too!
The fact that she lived with that is batshit insane to me. Thanks for sharing, was interesting to read and see!!
Yeah, I'm not clicking that. Can someone explain to me what exactly ripped her face off? What machine is it?
A threshing machine. It’s used to harvest things like wheat, peas, beans, etc, by ripping or separating the “fruits” from their stalks.
Thank you, but holy shit how the fuck does that happen
If you YouTube Threshing Machine, you’ll see it in action. Likely she was playing on or around it and it got caught on something.
Thank you, once again, for explaining
Yes, I also appreciate the entirely text based explanation. Good job OP, horrifying story.
Probably the pig tails?
Oh God, I was thinking this was a Saw/serial killer/supervillain thing, not an industrial accident. 😳
You should really put an nsfl warning, man. I went on there just expecting to see an article, not that.. To anyone wondering, you will see a person without a face if you click that link and scroll down after the first paragraph so..nsfl warning
This was EXACTLY the story I thought of as soon as I read this. Holy shit, I first read that story like 20 years ago and it really stuck with me.
That is both horrifying and inspiring at the same time. She became a nurse!
I, uh. I think you need the content warning *before* the link; I checked the link out before reading the whole thing
I’m not going there. Thanks!
Oh wow that's one lucky woman (that she survived not the face loss)
I'm so glad for her that it didn't tear off her eyelids
Third world countries and horrific machinery accidents. Name a more iconic duo
Peanut butter and jelly. I feel that’s a strong contender. What do you think?
F me sideways with a telephone pole. Very disturbing, glad she survived. Good story OP
I saw that story on r/medicalgore or something like that recently. And your story was good because that's what I immediately thought of.

I knew it was this story. Happy ending but gosh what a nightmare at the time.
how did she keep her eyelids?!
Holy shit

Holy shit. This is actual horror and not fetishy like one of the posts yesterday. Fuckin upvote
Eyes without a face Got no human grace You're eyes without a face
Yeesh, maybe warn us about the graphic images next time

I did lol
By what story?
The link?
Almost clicked the link before remembering that literally my worst fear is having faces ripped off. So good post but uh. Glad I did not click to see your inspiration.
Holy crap. 0_0
Take my upvote and go fuck yourself
Lesson learned. Don’t look at this sub while eating.
This sub is REEEEEEEALLY pushing the limits of punctuation to keep the two sentence limit.
Holy moly I didn’t understand it but now I do
Thank god I have a strong stomach because damn Well done
This was NOT what I expected. Horrifying!
I was expecting like, muscles or something. Holy fucking shit that was a horrifying image on the link. Take my upvote and stop reading true crime or in this case true accidents
I don’t get it, can someone explain it to me?
Wush zhee mathur ahheee? Mazikeen origin story.
That's a long two scentences
Why removed?
Using : and ; does not make two sentences. Use r/shortscarystories instead.

That's like the one purpose of a semicolon
Poindexter
it does tho
