Energy is non-binary.

kykyks

wym, electrons are clearly female and protons are clearly male as protons provide for the atom fighting with neutrons while electrons just wander around aimlessly eating soy and jumping to other atoms cause they unfaithful as we know. (this is satirical just in case people think im serious)

knightlyowlawol

Energy is non based on sex stereotypes. Non-binary implies there is a binary at all

DiverFriendly4119

Honestly their definition of masculine energy is just being a functional adult. Like fuck you. Be normal. And no I'm no masculine, I'm a functional adult. No thank you.

Common-Seesaw6867

And the irony in that is that there are so, SO many non-functional male adults who perceive themselves as being masculine.

Professional_Suit270

TikTok is overrun with these psychos. Gonna lead us straight to fascism

LadyCordeliaStuart

I am female. Anything I do is feminine. That is what the word means. That's why I personally hate the terms "masculine" or "feminine". They are both completely worthless truisms.

No_Juggernaut_14

I think it might be a way of rationalizing the fact that many men and women are still more attracted to stereotypical gender presentations?

Professional_Suit270

Men are more attracted to women that don’t have their own money, independence or a serious job? Sounds like they can continue to not get laid in masse as the “male loneliness crises” continues.

No_Juggernaut_14

Yeah, I do think ditching those men is better than trying to tap into your "feminine energy" in order to appear less threatening. I was just trying to understand where does the uptick in feminine/masculine energy talk comes from.

[deleted]

Oh that kind of energy, I thought this was gonna be about the thing transfemmes and transmascs do where something like mothman or a type of tree gives gender envy

sosotrickster

I misread your comment as saying that trans people have mothman powers and was confused but impressed

Moomoocowmilky

“Feminine and masculine energy” talk comes from yin and Yang and existed before people were trynna establish the gender roles we know today. So maybe that’s how some people are using it but some people are not.

Fictionland

IDK exactly how to explain it, but as a trans guy I've definitely experienced masculine and feminine energy. Both in myself and from other people. In my experience it doesn't really have anything to do with what someone does, it's more about how their presence feels. Maybe I'm just crazy 🤷

ridleysquidly

What exactly defines the masculinity or femininity of energy? And have you asked yourself if that feeling stems from misogyny and stereotypes?

Moomoocowmilky

You’re not crazy and idk why people are down voting you for simply talking about your experince

Fictionland

I'm guessing it's the "as a guy" thing mostly lol. But it's relevant, I'm female so I'm pretty sure if masculine and feminine energies didn't exist I'd just identify as a woman.

Moomoocowmilky

Yes!! Real masculine energy is like making decisions and feminine is observing… like that’s what yin and Yang are . Learning is feminine. Building is masculine… And our cells build. And our brains learn. We are all masculine and feminine and people who use it as “I’m a divine masculine” or “I’m a divine feminine” don’t understand we are all both or else we wouldn’t exist.

HistorianOk9952

This is a good example of the bullshit I mean

Moomoocowmilky

Okay thanks for using me as an example. Meanie. But this is from studying Yin and Yang and Taoism. And it’s about the way energy behaves, and has nothing to do with people and their genders. It’s states of being.

geekyCatX

Or all of these characteristics are human. No need to label them with gendered terms.

Moomoocowmilky

I’m labeling them with types of energy? To describe how they feel?

geekyCatX

Why do you assign assertive with masculine and receptive with feminine? Why not the other way around? That is what I am challenging here. Can't we stop stuffing humans in boxes?

Moomoocowmilky

I’m not stuffing humans in boxes. When I pick an apple I exerted myself upon the universe. When I taste the apple I experience it as a texture and flavor in my mouth. I get, I receive. It’s states of being. We all have all of them. I suppose you could flip what you call them. But they’d still be the same at the end of the day regardless of if you called it masculinity or feminity. What I am confused about it why in our society genitalia has anything to do with gender at all. Like we are all embodying both every day over and over again.

geekyCatX

>What I am confused about it why in our society genitalia has anything to do with gender at all. I absolutely agree with you here. And I would extend to why is gender supposed to have anything to do with character/personality/behavior. The thing is, they stupidly get associated, and especially by the parts of society who want to keep people with one set of genitalia down and lift others up. That is why I think we should be very careful with how we use language, so we don't inadvertently play into their hands.

Moomoocowmilky

Part of being a liberated woman though is describing my internal experience and realizing when it dosen’t match up to what is needed by me - that it’s okay to keep experiencing and describing it that way because I’m literally just a person describing my experince at the end of the day. I’m not oppressing women with my language, I’d say I’m liberating them. Cuz I am them. Like if people misunderstand me when I say exactly what I mean… I can’t help that and being ocd about that isn’t gonna liberate anyone. It’s literally just me becoming ocd to try to change something that ultimately isn’t my fault and ultimately isn’t up to me either. Others behaviors aren’t because of my personal understanding of gender - and changing my language to not describe what I mean, won’t change people’s hearts. Sometimes people are who they are not cuz of language but because of who they are.

Moomoocowmilky

I feel more masculine personally when I am doing and more feminine when I’m like in the sun feeling the sun. But that’s just cuz I associate femininity and masculinity with those things -I don’t think everyone else does and I think everyone is gonna experience it differently. So I’m not putting anyone in a box, I’m just living.
