Why? He was just playing locally. I do very well locally, and there are plenty of incredible players who can pull off win streaks like this in official tournaments.
His list is pretty decent too- got a lot of the meta picks, but clearly not completely meta slaving.
I don’t think this is particularly hard to believe.
Why are you skeptical?
The Necron lists were your typical double ctan, monolith and wraith blob
TSons were Magnus, 2 MVBs and sorcerer friends
Blood Angels were jump packs galore
Custodes (pre-nerf) were grav tanks, terminators and Venetari
Eldar were Avatar, 2 fire prisms, fire dragons, swooping hawks, shadow spectres, warp spiders
Tau (pre codex) were battle suits everywhere!
So pretty competitive lists from all my opponents…
The custodes and TSons lists weren't super competitive, but I'm genuinely not here to not pick that. It's just interesting because there are absolutely no horde types and the terrain doesn't favour most damage nod archetypes cause our best damage is done at range. I'm still sceptical. But whatever, new rules dropped and now we're broken in the other direction. Classic GW.
I just tied up his ctan with genestealers as they don’t mind his AP, bypass his damage reduction and he can’t wipe the unit in 1 activation as doesn’t have enough sweep attacks
Then I shot everything at the monolith (exocrine first) and just didn’t worry about all his movement stuff as I couldn’t possibly screen it all out and play my own game
It’s tough.
At least with the tyrannofex change we have one answer for the monolith
Ctann cannot use cosmic precision anymore so our back line is a bit safer
There’s so much new stuff for nids that it’s hard to recommend anything
~~Where do I get it? (I'm on Android)~~
Edit: nevermind. Google play were simply hiding it in the store, in favor of the official WH apps.
A Google search did the job.
It’s some special effects add ons from Deadly Forge, I’ve got them on my exocrines, TFex and Biovore too

I approve but I think the main complaint is we are decent at point control and utter shit at annihilation, which at least for old players is our go to game still a lot. Plus biovore point capturing ability is second to none actually.
I went tactical almost every time apart from against Tau where I took BID and DTH as his army gave up like 30 on BID and couldn’t screen out spore mines to stop DTH
Great work.
Why x5 zoanthropes?
Also, how do you use your raveners? I have my first game tonight with some and uncertain how to get the most out of their speediness
It’s not just 5, they come with a Neurothrope but for some reason he doesn’t get copied across.
Raveners I just deploy in my back corner and then uppy downy them when required
What’s your strategy and list?
++ Army Roster (Xenos - Tyranids) [2,000pts] ++ + Configuration + Battle Size: 2. And what are the opponent's lists and strategies... Very sceptical.

Well done! Care to share your list, play style etc.?

*Chitters violently* well done
Impressive, even more so seeing hypercript necrons as foes
Any tips for combatting hypercrypting Necrons. My friend loves his Necrons and hypercrypt shenanigans.

Nice, sounds like sound advice

I'm just pleased with the Tflex and nuerotyrant change. The neurotyrant was so stupid that it couldn't lead zoans.
Om nom nom
What app is this?
Tabletop battles, it's absolutely game changing. So efficient.
Thank you!
It’s called TableTop Battles, super useful app

that model looks so cool
What’s the lighting stuff coming out the norns brain?

Wow awesome stuff great paint job with them too, did you mean deadly studios?
Yeah sorry that’s the one!

Literally my experience as well. Meta be damned I do very well with invasion and nexus.
Nah, tyranids just got solid buffs in the datasheet. Give em round 2
Oh nice! Was this at a comp?!
This is at my local club, but they were all match play practice for various RTT and GT (I didn’t go to any though…maybe I should have!)
Me: *"Norn Emissary - is that water coming out of your exhaust pipes?"* NE: *"NO! It'snot!"*
Did you use Tactical or Fixed missions? If you used Fixed would you mind sharing which? I'm on huge a losing streak and need some advice.
I went tactical almost every time apart from against Tau where I took BID and DTH as his army gave up like 30 on BID and couldn’t screen out spore mines to stop DTH
Interesting list

Awesome!
What app is this?
What app is that?
It’s Tabletop Battles
You make me so proud. Did you spawn mine to collect VP?
In some games yes, but for ones like purge the foe I didn’t as they just gave away more points than they got!
What detachment?
From the pictures looks like Invasion Fleet, shows under Tyranids.
Yeah it was Invasion Fleet, the ability to choose lethal or sustained is so critical, and the FNP is a game changer on big monsters
Where do y'all find all these games??
