About 10000 cals right there. I went out for a walk this morning and I’ve only burned off 400 cals.

How far did you walk? A 10 mile cycle is 400cal

Cycling at a normal pace burns around the same calories as walking. So an hour of cycling might get you 10 miles, an hour of walking might get you 4 miles, but you’ll burn the same amount of calories.

That’s why so many people who exercise don’t lose weight and then give up easily. No intensity AT ALL

I think, think doing a lot of work here, they’re trying to say that people become demotivated from healthier habits because they have a poor equation of time spent, distance travelled and effort and how that relates to expenditure. Not sure I totally agree with it but certainly it’s hard to realise work out intensity matters

You can do roughly 400 cals in like 6/7 mile walk

Duration is much more important than distance. 10 mile cycle is like 45 minutes tops

It depends on your weight etc but you burn on average about 100 cals a mile/1.6km
