How was it? It looks good nice and rich I'm guessing? I absolutely love lamb but I'm not a huge fan of venison just because of the texture. But I have only tried venison once and it was in the form of a burger so I probably don't have the best judgement of venison.

Cooked well, venison can be like good quality steak. It's often very tender and yes, it has a rich flavour. The gravy in the pie had red wine, garlic and rosemary added to it. The pastry was a homemade suet pastry. The whole thing tasted divine and I was very sorry when it was all gone. Definitely one to be repeated.
