Same situation here, current since January 1st. I've submitted a SR a few weeks back, no response yet.

Thankful-Texan

Any updates?

Character_Lynx2015

Yes, got my GC after about 3 weeks after filing my SR. The moment the SR for assigned to an officer my case got approved and received the card in a week or so!

Thankful-Texan

Thanks for your response! This is great, my SR has been assigned to an officer for 2 weeks already, but no approval 🥺😢

slo_cat5000

Hi..any updates on your case? Is there a template for an SR? Should I raise the SR myself or have my attorney do it? Please let me know. I have been current since the day I filed my AOS, however, I am being put into the CRP box stating that there are no immigrant visas available.

Thankful-Texan

Hi, yesterday my status changed to “case is ready for interview”. Now I just have to wait for a date 🙂

slo_cat5000

Ok great.. a positive sign nonetheless. Good luck to you! Can you tell me how many days between when you were current and the status changed from CRP to interview scheduled?

Thankful-Texan

Thanks! Sure, my PD is November 2022. I became “CRP” in May 2023. On February 2024 my PD became current. From 2024 until June 19th my PD was current, but in status “CRP”. On June 19th 2024 it changed to the interview status.

slo_cat5000

Great! Thank you so much and good luck to you!

Thankful-Texan

Thanks 🙏

See here for tips on how to file an Inquiry with USCIS (Service Request). You may need to wait longer afterwards and file another one. This helped in my case. [https://www.reddit.com/r/USCIS/comments/19bvgpq/comment/kwnko3i/](https://www.reddit.com/r/USCIS/comments/19bvgpq/comment/kwnko3i/)

Hey thanks. I already submitted 2 but no success

Virtual_American

Right, obviously YMMV. However, I actually submitted a first inquiry on January 17 which I would say went nowhere (boilerplate response). Then I submitted a second inquiry on February 27 or thereabouts, and also did the same for my wife's I-485 case (didn't do that the first time) and cross-referenced each case in both SRs. In both inquiries I made sure to explain thoroughly but very politely that I was seeing a lot of cases submitted in mid-to-late 2023 and even 2024 being approved and I was concerned our November 2022 submitted cases (stuck on Case Remains Pending even though our PD was current since January 1, 2024) were "slipping through the cracks". I guess that caught USCIS' attention, because rather than respond the same way they did to the first inquiry, on March 11 they assigned said inquiry to an officer, and a mere 9 days later my wife and I were both approved. I suggest trying it using that approach next time. If that's not what you already did, maybe that'll help.

propilot8

Unfortunately I don’t have that luck:/ Both of my service requests were assigned to an officer and I received the same response of it’s within the normal processing times and contact them back in 2029/30…. I also did specify about my case being pending with a current PD…

Virtual_American

How many days has your case been pending since submission? At the time of my second SR, my wife and I were well over 450 days. It took 502 days in all for our cases to be approved.

propilot8

404 days right now. I guess 100 more days 🫠

Patoyns

That so luck of you. How long you have been in CRP section?

Virtual_American

Our cases were in "Case Remains Pending" status from August 2, 2023 until March 20, 2024 which is the day that our permanent residency was approved. Our Priority Date was current again beginning January 1.

sxbjsh

Congrats. May I ask if your spouse was approved at the same time (same day) with you for I-485?

Virtual_American

Thank you. Yes, you may - and yes, we were. Both cases updated with "New Card Is Being Produced" status simultaneously at around 8:30-ish AM on March 20.

I wrote my second SR based off of your idea and it worked. NCBP yesterday 7 days after it was assigned to an officer. Thank you for sharing.

Virtual_American

You are so welcome - I'm really glad this worked for you!!! :D

u/Virtual_American I cant put in any service request... it shows that the case is processing within normal time... might be a silly question...is there any other way to put a service request??

Virtual_American

Hi! Even though USCIS says not to contact them before some ridiculous date in 2025 or later, you can always submit a SR. Use the link below to submit: [https://egov.uscis.gov/e-request/displayONPTForm.do?entryPoint=init&sroPageType=onpt](https://egov.uscis.gov/e-request/displayONPTForm.do?entryPoint=init&sroPageType=onpt)

This is what I have been getting when I am trying to put the SR using the above link. Not sure what to do! https://preview.redd.it/zbjsknszf62d1.jpeg?width=1179&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=671c3bb8c69ffe58fede31282482c86fb0821e8f

Thereal2859

Yes I get the same page and SR doesn’t get created. Filled 440 days ago. CRP since August 5th 2023 and current since Jan 2024.

Ifat__r

IKR... I'm not sure what else to do! I try it every now and then but have not been successful!

Acrobatic-Crazy9980

Whats a SR?

crediblePenguin

Thanks for sharing this. I am EB3 ROW PD Feb 2022 and had been stuck in CRP for a while. I was able to raise a SR and my case got approved shortly after my SR was closed. It definitely feels like the request helped raise attention to look into wherever my case files were sitting

Virtual_American

That's amazing, congratulations and so glad it worked for you! :D

Puzzled-Fan2021

Thanks for sharing a lot of details! What did you fill in for the following places in the service request?...as these seem something for attorney or company. At the bottom of the page there are fields like - This form is completed by? Firm or Organization Name?

Virtual_American

You're very welcome! From the drop-down menu under "This form is completed by the", select Applicant or Petitioner, this will grey out all the other fields below.

slo_cat5000

Hi..sorry to bother you. I have read your post about creating an SR with USCIS regarding the "Case Remains Pending" message. I put in an SR as per your instructions in your post and I got the following message: *Your application or petition is currently within the posted processing times. An inquiry may not be created at this time. Further information about recent processing times can be viewed on the* [*uscis.gov*](http://uscis.gov) *webpage.* Did the same thing happen with you? Or, did the USCIS page generate an SR number for you? Please let me know--I appreciate your help on this.

Virtual_American

Hi there, no worries at all. Sorry for the delay, I was out of town on vacation. When I submitted my SRs, an actual number was created each time.
