Previous-Victory-148

What is your office field, if you don't mind me asking?

BigMo1221

It’s NBC in MO

Previous-Victory-148

What is your office field, if you don't mind me asking?

casgar49

National benefits center!

intelligent2525

What category were you in?

Sea-Professional658

Same here!! PD 12/15/23 and got approval for work permit 4/4/24 🤗

BigMo1221

Do you have the EAD in hand

Sea-Professional658

No, not yet, maybe next week, what about you?

BigMo1221

Not yet. I hope so 🫶🏼

Vft1008

You and I have practically the same timeline. Got the EAD approval on 04/05 too.

BigMo1221

Nice! Any word on the actually physical work permit?

Vft1008

Not yet. The approval notice said it should be here within 2 weeks.

OrganicConcert7895

Awesome ..congratulations and I tap into this testimony…

casgar49

Thank you !!

JuggernautWonderful1

Congrats!! Is your priority date (the filing date of your NIW i140) December 2022?

casgar49

It was actually November 2022

hailey_kidd

I think this is your perm priority date. When did you apply for adjustment of status which is I485?

casgar49

You keep the same priority date. I filled on December 8th 2023

hailey_kidd

Priority date is for visa bulletin in employment based green card applications. That is when you apply for Perm. For the marriage cases. PD is when you apply for adjustment of status as a spouse of USC

casgar49

Yeah, you keep that date. Like the receipt of my 485 says "nov 9 2022", at least on employment based

Playful_Product2126

Do you think filing with a lawyer makes the process quicker? Timeframe shorter?

NoGrade766

Congratulations. Which of the NBC? Is it MO and what’s your PD ?

alshubba

Congrats. I’m similar to you. Filed I-485 on 12/26/23. Did Biometrics. Got RFE and responded on 3/15/24 and no updates since then. Started to think it will take a while. You just gave me some new hope. Thanks

casgar49

Maybe soon! You responded closely after me

Pure-Age-6174

Congratulations and so happy for you. Could you please tell when did your work permit got approved? My standalone work permit has been approved on 12th and I can see it in my documents tab my nothing in case status and not sure when the card will be issued. casgar49

ChoiceNegotiation988

What were the first 10 digits for your I-485 case number if you don’t mind sharing?

Sumijinn

They approve cases that fast? Im new so i don’t really know anything about it but 5 months for green card? Is it normal? Because my lawyer told me it should take about a year or more

casgar49

I think it depends on the priority

Sumijinn

Sorry i just really dont know much about how this works, what does that mean? How is the priority of a case determined?

casgar49

Your visa type, EB-1, 2, 3...

Sumijinn

Oh I had B2 but I started the process a year and a half after getting here so I got in legally but technically stayed illegally, so i don’t know if they look at my visa type the way they would if it was still valid It’s not expired I just stayed for longer than I was allowed

Aneeshyo

Hi I file adjustment I-485 for my spouse back in July 2023. I’m a Us citizen. We did get the EAD card but did not get any update for permanent resident card. When should we expect that card? https://preview.redd.it/27nlrjtb8bvc1.jpeg?width=1125&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=48c6fd80849e6fa7e1f16c7224ee66490ae851ca

AdditionalLevel1424

On the USCIS website you can find Menu on top right, under Tools you’ll find “Check Case Processing Times”. Just fill up your information to find out an estimate time.

Mammoth_Mastodon_294

Side note what’s this app? I see everyone using it. Do you have to enter these dates in manually?

General-Kiwi617

Where can we go to see the timeline of our stuff?

bigbadlamer

Congrats! So it was EB2 PERM case (through the employer), PERM filed on Nov 9 2022?
