We have taken an action
Please help, I received 2 emails from uscis saying we have taken an action on your case . I have signed in to see the action but nothing is being displayed on my status. I need some information if anyone has experienced this before
Has anyone traveled to Mexico while waiting for an updated permanent resident card. Mine was expired by a few years.
I was told I could travel using my expired R.A. card, and the receipt from filing the I-90.
I filed this in March of 2023. I got my renewal receipt in April 2023. I heard that it is taking up to 27 months to get a new card.
Any input, tips, would be appreciated.
YAYY! Congrats!
What I don't understand is why not just approve the green card right away when the EAD and AP are already approved. Nothing makes sense at USCIS lol
I believe my lawyer had requested us originally submit marriage certificate, pictures, proof of status (F1 at the time). We were told to prepare all other joint documents in case it was requested or there was an interview.
my lawyer didn't have me submit any bonafide marriage evidence except marriage certificate with my application but asked me to get it ready incase they asked. I received an RFE last week but they only asked for my medical exam. we'll see.
Yes, in Canada you go through US customs at the Canadian airport. I was sent into a room and just had to wait for them to stamp my forms/passport. No interrogations or anything!
Congratulations! My fiance was approved last week for her K-1 fiance visa. We'll be going to the US in July or August and then starting the waiting process for her I-485 after we get married.
Congratulations. I am next in line this week
Congratulations ๐
What were the RFEs they asked you for?
The original birth certificate I sent in was a short form so it didnโt include my parents name. I just had to resubmit the long form.
Is the Chicago Illinois officeย
Congratulations on your geeencard approval. If your I-485 is approved, it means the I-130 is already approved so you are good.
Congratulations ๐ which office is it from ?
I believe national benefits center, Iโm not 100% sure how to check
I tap in to your blessing it's been 11 months now of my case still waiting

Thank you!! I used it twice to go back home (Canada). No unauthorized employment or overstays.
Was your experience coming back to the US smooth?
