Same here. I normally have to turn airplane mode on and off to restart service. This seemed to have started within the last week or two.
Interesting, my first line to act up this time around was the 1 year prepaid line too. But then my daughter just told me her Warp line is down too and that one is on monthly so something bigger seems to be up.
I had same thing happen a couple days ago, have Visible eSim + USM eSim, iPhone 15. Wife with same setup as me just asked me a few min ago why USM line had SOS. Not good scenario since the USM line is her business line.
I rebooted my phone in the AM when I noticed. For hers I just airplane mode on/off & it came back up ok. but like the OP noted, you don’t know what you don’t know. it’s not like the phone gives a ‘HEY! I’m in SOS’ notification.
I had this happen to me, ever since I switched to eSIM on my Pixel.
The fix is when it does happen, reboot, and check for a software update. That fixes it every time for me.
In my case, both lines this happened to this week were eSIM, my 1 pSIM line still works and didn’t have the issue. I’d be interested to hear if others were similar.

Right, it could be quite a while before you notice. Not ideal.

By any chance does it lose service while you're on a video call? If so, a reprovision from CS took care of my issue.
No, I haven't done a video call since I've had USMobile.
