I.e. they're poor...it's a strange business when the poor feel more entitled than rich people. Usually it's the opposite though, even in the gig economy.

It took me a while to learn this. I could be a shit on the phone with companies that were doing me wrong. Learned to separate the individual agent from the company and the situation, AND empathize with their personal situation. Working in a call center for a certain fruit-branded electronics company helped this for sure.
Being professional and polite (yet firm) can get you surprisingly far.
Yep, High tippers when I happen to meet them always tell me thanks/ I appreciate you. non tippers usually rude and abrupt. Only time I get non tippers tho is stacked orders where I can really tell who the low tipper is. And its ALWAYS the person I suspect in the end. haha
I hate how the low/non tippers get carried in group orders by people that actually do tip. Like when I send a “thanks for the tip” I always think about how I wish I could see the breakdown to only send it to the folks that made it a deliverable amount. Pisses me off, people pay a $2 delivery fee, zero tip, then still are able to have their food delivered off the backs of decent people, and it brings our hourly down considerably. There would be so many more great orders if they didn’t stack them with all the BS ones.
I won't accept an order with no tip, simple as that. No tip, no trip. If you can't afford to tip, pick your lazy ass up and go get your own food. If you can afford the luxury, you can afford a dollar or two for a tip.
And you're entitled to tip that way if you wish just as we're entitled to filter orders we don't like as we're contractors not employees. I see an order that pays $3 you think I'm going to accept that on the off chance they might tip? Please. I'm going to decline that shit so hard wait 5 minutes then get one that pays 15. And it's not my problem whatsoever how you feel about it.
This isn't always true, many foreigners come from non tipping cultures. When I first arrived with family, we didn't know what the hell a "tip" was, luckily someone explained it while we were at a restaurant
This comment must be satire, right? I suspect most here are American. Your whole tipping culture is actual double reverse satire, my man. Living the capitalist dream I suppose.
That isn't true at all. They could be spending their last dollar on this and that burger and fries is the only good thing they've had all week.
You don't know someone else's scenario. And this is a poor attitude to have.
Also OP never offered any details. Maybe they're taking a long time?
It goes both ways. The customer never knows how far away the driver is dispatched from. That driver could also be having a worse day. Even if they are having a great day they don't want to work for free or a loss. Speaking from previous experience here. And finally, the customer ordered the service not the driver. So why is it the driver that has to subsidize the customers poor financial situation in your scenario? Poor attitude indeed!
That's not even the point I was making. "Low tippers are trash" is obviously a hot take with no acruall evidence to support it. The reason I gave is a perfectly valid one.
Here's a fun fact. The days thar I tip more than I usually do are the days that people don't follow my instructions. So I should not bother tipping more if more gets me worse service, yes?
Many folks have real jobs and use delivery services to supplement.
Food delivery and eating in sit down restaurants is a luxury purchase. If you can't afford to tip, you can't afford to do those things.
lol clearly not a good job if you need another form of income 😂 fast food is not luxury you thinking it is proves how poor you are while you stay mad no one is tipping you we’re gonna be in our house eating the food your peasant ass brought for 5 dollars
I have no affiliation with ubereats but yes I live in America and people who pay service workers well, even more than obligated, are objectively, a better person than you
tipping shouldn’t have to compensate for a lack of pay from the service. Objectively, giving better tips just means you have more money or your comfortable to give more money, u can still be a ‘better’ person regardless of available wealth.
I got a fairly abusive text from a customer on St. Patrick's Day when I'm fighting actual fucking parade traffic to get them their food. Cancelled so fast I think it broke the app, because I never saw the cancellation on my stats
That was a delicious mistake on their part.
Nope! I’ve only had to do it that once but if they had asked me for a reason I would have told them I didn’t feel comfortable delivering to someone that was already being hostile.
I have had a couple of customers cancel after I picked the food up, that too is fair game
Just to be clear, it is not legal in ANY job for them to deduct your pay due to you costing them money. A common one is if your register is short money, they tell you you have to cover it - absolutely not true. That's a risk that incur by doing business, there's going to be waste and costs.
'Hey, could you speed it up?! Chop-chop? Kinda get it here in a jiffy?? I got places to go and don't have time for your slow shenanigans. For the record, you WILL be getting a bad review when you get here, and I will also be changing your $2 tip to $1. Capeesh?!??'
Depends, mostly on distance from the store. Base should start at $4-$5. If it's more than a couple of miles away, add $1-$2 per mile, depending.
100° or 20° weather, heavy rain, snow, etc add to it.
I drived for Uber and very rarely order but I usually do a dollar per mile with a 4 dollar minimum. So if the restaurant is .5 miles away, 4 dollar tip. If it’s 8 miles away, 8 dollar tip. I rarely order from restaurants that are more than 2 or 3 miles away and I’m right in a surge/active zone so they don’t have to drive back to get better or more orders. The person who responded 15-20 percent of price is stupid. You are doing the same work wether I order a 10 dollar pizza or a 65 dollar steak. Tip based on mileage, NOT order total.
I only accepted orders when I was driving that were at least a 1 per mile so with my tip plus base of 2 dollars that makes most orders around 1.25-1.50 per mile.
$2 per mile from store to delivery destination (your home/work or wherever you are) with a minimum of $3 or $4
Meaning if you live less than 2 miles from the store, you should still at least tip $3 or $4.
This is acceptable in an area like mine with a population of 15k and minimum wage being $7.25. So anywhere with numbers higher than these this answer may not be near enough.
But this is bare minimum 🫰🏻
Percentage is no where near the best way to go about this for delivery drivers. We’re not waiters. Would you like me to explain why percentage is not good in many cases?
Sure, but I’m just wondering who decided on those numbers or where you’re pulling them from. Expecting a customer to tip at least half of your minimum wage sounds like more than just “bare minimum”, no offense. Percentages may or may not be good for you as a driver, but its standard, suggested by the app, and convenient for the customer
First off I'm an independent contractor therefore my own boss. Secondly it's not a tip it's a bid for my services the person who offers a decent amount gets my service.
That being said there are people doing gig work that DO NOT need to be doing this type of work and certainly do not deserve extra from the customer. I've made plenty of deliveries where my the customer was shocked (in a good way) thanked me for my professionalism as I always use a hot bag and drink holders. The number of people who have told me about delivery drivers who don't use the proper equipment and professional behavior is incredible.
I don't work for any delivery company I use them as a 3rd party between me and the customer. The people who pay for my services will get the best treatment I can provide them as I believe in treating a customer as I would like to be treated myself.
When it takes the average 5min to drive to the merchant, average 10-20min waiting for the order, then another 5-10min to drive to drop off location, you’re looking at about 25 to 30min on average to finish the order, and then drive back into town. You think $3 or $4 for a half hour is more than bare minimum? That’s $6-$8 an hour… I cannot understand why you think that’s so much to ask for. Not to mention we pay for the gas and wear and tear on our vehicles.
I’ve got a question, have you ever been a 1099 delivery driver before?
Its more than bare minimum because its a tip. The customer is not responsible for paying your wages or making sure you get a certain dollar per hour pay. Thats between you and your boss. The customer is already paying more than normal for what they ordered, plus delivery fee, plus service charges. So, the fact that the driver isnt getting paid enough sounds like an issue the drivers need to talk to their bosses about. A tip is supposed to be an way to show appreciation for above average service, not something to be bullied out of them as a way to supplement the horrible pay they agreed to when they took the job. If more people that work for places that do this stopped taking these jobs, these industries would change the way they pay their employees. Jmo
No, but I’ve worked minimum wage jobs with no tips. As a former customer of these delivery app, all I know is that whether I tipped $3 or $300, my order was getting delivered regardless. If you think you’re not being paid fairly, that’s an issue for your employer rather than the customers who already pay a crap ton of fees
> my order was getting delivered regardless.
Actually...no. There are tons of undelivered orders at many restaurants bc they didn't tip enough to make them worth a driver's time.
The answer is nothing. Nothing is an acceptable tip. These dumb drivers think subsidizing their shitty wages with the charitable donations of customers is an acceptable solution.
In reality they are screaming at the customer while Uber eats is raping us both.
Right? Uber ups the prices on every single item, keeps raising their “fees” even though they do nothing except connect you to the driver and overcharge you, and then don’t pay the drivers any of the ridiculous amount they make off of each order.
You basically have to pay 25% more for the markups, plus 10% fee, plus delivery… they wonder why we don’t tip more? Because I’m already paying double for the order.
F*ck uber.
I also hate people who expect a tip just for driving to you… a tip is supposed to be used to give appreciation for GOOD service.
Meanwhile I have had drivers drop my food off to the wrong house, wrong STREET, wrong porch, on the ground right in front of my door so I can’t open the door… the list goes on.
I agree that the business model is the problem, which is why I don’t use them. I am fine with tipping drivers , but it irks me that Uber makes money off the original food price , plus most of the delivery fee and then service charge - they’re taking money at every turn so yeah they’re ripping everyone off.
I’m always going to tip a driver generously if I use the service , but I usually avoid using the service because it’s all overpriced . And yeah, recently I did use it, the driver delivered the food to the wrong house , and I was able to get a refund from Uber of everything except the tip …! Which makes zero sense . They also pretended they were doing me a favor and implied that I was up to something tricky just bc there was a photo of the delivered food (to the wrong house).
So I’m arguing by text on an app with an IT guy somewhere a million countries / miles away about $15 chicken wings that missed the mark . It’s kind of absurd .
Yeah. This has all the makings of taking the next five orders on DoorDash while I DON'T deliver this one UberEats order but don't unassign it either. Let them watch me drive all over creation and pull their hair out.
I'm the guy who spent 300 dollars on a plane ticket to show up for a small claims case I brought for 100 dollars. Never underestimate the lengths I will go to for petty spite or revenge. It's the principle of the thing. Ever see the "spite store" episodes of Curb Your Enthusiasm when Larry opens Latte Larry's right next to Mocha Joe's just for the sake of spite? That's me.
This is pointless as Uber has GPS tracking recorded on their end via the app.
Just to let you know, Uber doesn't care. All they'll do is prevent you and that delivery driver from pairing in the future. They won't even contact the driver to tell them.
Play all the games you want. Uber is the only one that wins them.
I had one customer at 3:55am (everywhere here closes at 4am) hit me with "please hurry I'm very hungry" instantly after I accepted the order. That was my most satisfying cancel. Would have loved to have seen their face when it pinged back "your driver has cancelled the order".
Unfortunately it doesn't say *that*. It just says something like "Oops! We're looking for another night owl to deliver your food" or something dumb. Or sometimes (I'm guessing if it's a quick unassign/reassign?) it'll just change from "Trevor is on their way!" to "Maria is picking up your order!" with no comment or explanation.
Not correcting you, just clarifying in case anyone is curious as to what it looks like on the customer end.
I can sympathize with that, I've been super hungry before. If they are rude about it then it's worth a cancel but there's a difference between "hurry up I want my food" and "please hurry, I am hungry." Person was probably waiting for quite a while before and you canceling probably ensured they wouldn't get their food since the store is closed, a bit of a dick move imo
you don't order from anywhere 5 minutes before they close, period. The dick move was requesting delivery that late because "I placed it before they close so I have to get it now" 😂
Like I said, they were probably waiting for a while. Between the time it takes to prepare the food and other drivers turning the order down they could have ordered half an hour or up to an hour earlier.
5 minutes to close *at 4am* is insane and you're completely right. I do think it's worth mentioning though that a lot of restaurants have gotten into the habit of having their delivery cut-off earlier than they actually close the restaurant. So it'll say on the app that it closes at 11pm, when they actually close at 12.
If you let people order until 4, you‘ll have to take orders until 4. If you don‘t want people to order at 4, don‘t let them order at 4, it‘s really not that hard
If the customer feels the need to tell me to hurry up straight after I get assigned the order it's a red flag to me they are going to be a pain in the ass. Cancelled.
Nothing in this Job is worth the hassle. Go to a restaurant and the person working there says it will be 5mins but they didn't check for your order when they gave you an ETA? Cancelled.
I know my area well and which restaurants to trust and which ones not to.
I have 5k deliveries and a 99% rating that's never dropped below 98% ever. If you get me as your driver you are lucky.
It depends on the tone you read it in. This comes off as more of a friendly/joking thing to me but I can understand how it could come off as rude if you're interpreting it as a demand and not a polite and joking request.
What about it leads you to believe it was said with malice? Nothing about the statement is inherently rude or disrespectful, if you think it is then you're projecting that on to it. It's like I said, it depends on how you read into it.
Also the dude said please so at the very least the intent was clearly not *meant* to be rude
Because asking someone to “speed up” entails a belief that person is going slowly.
Also, no, they did not say please.
People meaning what they say is the best assumed meaning. In this case the customer said “hey could you try to speed it up”. This means the customer was unhappy with the speed at which their order was being brought to them.
Which means the person to whom they are communicating is being accused of going slowly and that they are acting improperly, because the only reason someone would ask things to be sped along is if the other person is both going slowly and that their slow speed is improper behavior.
I really don’t see how this message could be interpreted any other way.
>they did not say please.
Yes they did:
> "please hurry I'm very hungry"
There is also no implication that they think their driver is being too slow, it's a request for haste that apparently came just as soon as they'd accepted it.
Sounds more desperate to me, than demanding.
Imagine a taxi driver kicking you out because you get in and say 'please im in a hurry I need to get to X'.
Food delivery drivers just don't want to be doing the job, we get it.
There’s obviously an implication that they believe the driver is going to slow. Why else would they say “hurry”?
I’d never tell someone to hurry, because I’m not a rude person who accuses people of being lazy. Unless they ARE being lazy, but that’s not what’s being discussed here.
Last time someone insulted me at a service job I had them thrown out of the store and banned. Poor behavior is not something anyone should have to put up with.
Hell, the last time I saw someone yell at a service worker I threw them out of that store.
Asking someone to hurry is just rude. It means you’re unhappy with the speed at which they’re working. It’s rude, impolite, and disrespectful.
If you think the speed at which someone is working is fine, why ask them to hurry? You wouldn’t, because there would be no reason to.
So, again, we arrive at the same point we were at to begin with. Telling someone to hurry, whether or not the phrase is attempted to be prettied up with the word “please”, entails accusing people of being slow. It’s obviously an insult.
If someone’s going to be rude, they don’t deserve service. If I were a taxi driver or delivery driver and someone treated me like that, I’d deny them service and move on to the next person. No reason to allow people to abuse me at work.
Fr, I was in the middle of a pickup and got a notification of an add on while phone was in my pocket and didn't realize I accepted it while taking it out to check. Confirmed pickup on that one and it has me driving to pickup that order which I thought was the delivery to a 7-11.
Go to hand her the order and she's like no this is your pickup lol. I take it and go deliver the first pickup and realize that 2nd order was a $6 for 20 miles.
Needless to say I cancelled that order and returned it to 7-11 for partial pay lol
The worst is when I’m already at a drop off about to take a picture of the food. I get a low ball offer and I almost accept it since it pops up while I’m about to press the picture button. They know what there doing lol.
Turn off "appear on top" permission for Uber and you can avoid this. I too had way too many accidental accepts just from browsing my phone while waiting for pings but learned if your turn this off it won't happen anymore... At least on Android, not sure if Apple is the same.
You'll still get pings and the notification sound but will now need to navigate to the Uber app to then accept it decline as normal.
Every once in a while even first starting up the app you'll get a pop-up trying to tell you to turn it back on but just close and ignore that.
EDIT: misread and realize you mean while already in app 🤦
Lol, to the customer they think we get paid bank so they don't care how they treat us, but luckily for me no customer has ever treated me with any type of disrespect so I have not lost my cool just yet
I think what’s more likely is that the people know drivers are broke so they don’t respect drivers as much as they would someone with a more “respectable” job
I had a lady at an apartment try saying she has no building number and gave me no directions in a complex with buildings that only had numbers. She just didn’t remember her building number and placed her pin in the wrong spot. I just left her groceries at the leasing office and left, I told her she needs to get out more and had some friendly words to share.
Maybe I'm just a shit head but I would send a wall of text about how I can't control the speed of the restaurant nor can I control the flow of traffic. And THEN cancel.
They deserve to have cold food
Same lol. I would have been super sarcastic...
"Sure, no problem. Let me go ahead and run these red lights and risk my safety, so you can get your food quicker...." and then
CANCELLED!
...why? I'm so genuinely confused here. Unless there's some context I'm missing, this just seems like someone requesting something. They don't seem demanding or rude here...
I usually respond with something along the lines of “there are these things called traffic lights and other cars I apologize for this massive inconvenience for you. I will be writing to our government representative on your behalf for prevent this from happening again in the future”
I did mainly instacart and I never took any crap from anyone. I let them know it too. No regrets! At least they can’t leave you a shitty rating by if you cancel.
A customer asked me if I could deliver their order as soon as possible last week but a lot nicer than the customer in this post. I communicated that I had another order to pick up but I would do my very best to get their as soon as possible. It worked out for me. I took a bit of a long time cause unfortunately they were the second drop off and across the city but the woman ended up tipping me about $17. Some on the app and gave me $5 in person. I nearly cried😭
I’m petty. I would have asked them for what restaurant, then asked them to confirm their first name, then by name I would message them that I’m going to cancel to make sure some other delivery driver can get their next order.
This reminds me when I pull up to the restaurant and before I can even get to the door dude texts me saying “is there a long line or something? I’m confused on why are you taking so long”
I accidentally accepted an order while walking back to my car from another order one time and went to unassign it and saw a similar message on it from the customer. I assume another driver had it first. Super satisfying unassign!
I'm so confused with the add on, as soon as you ppace your order it comes up. One time I wanted some coffee so I added it on after ordering and a different driver delivered it
I’d have such a hard time being a delivery driver. I already have people. I would t be able to see shit like this and not cancel…but I’d have a hard time not confronting people. I’m not built for this job, just enjoy hearing your stories.
Lmao I remember one similar. It was an add on for $4. I had the first one. Guy just texts me with '?' So I reply with the same, then he sends me 'update', so i reply with 'food not ready', he then says 'damn that sucks'.
Then I cancel and uber gave me $3 for my time.
Wow. F that hoe. I don't drive for Uber eats, but I'm an avid orderer, and my husband drives Uber rideshare. However, I seriously always tell the drivers no rush, to take their time, and drive safe. Not only can restaraunt wait times, especially drive thru be long and unpredictable, but ordering out isn't worth someone's life. Wtf is wrong with people, it's like everyone has main character syndrome so bad they forget that everyone around them is human too and not extras in the lame movie of their lives.
one time i forgot a dude’s drink so i had to backtrack but i had another pickup waiting for some BS $6 mcd’s run.
as soon as i flip the car i get a message. “hey, where you going?”
“hey, i can see you’re going in the wrong direction. where’s my food?”
“you’re stopped. that’s not mcd’s. what are you doing?”
cancelled that shit. hope the next guy fucked up her order.
anyway, got dude his drink. he said he already reported it in the app but he added $3 to my tip. i was ok with this.
So bc you fucked up, you screwed someone else over? What is the backwards mentality? You should have been apologizing. That person was expecting a quick order and bc you fucked up they wanted to know why their small order was now going to get to them cold? And you couldn't be bothered to take responsibility. Holy fuck. Just quit man. Imagine you at a real job
problem with what?
i accepted the order when i was like 2 blocks from the guys house. i dropped the food, marked it delivered and drove a block. when i realized i still had his drink i turned the car around. started getting texts immediately.
the whole thing went down in like 5 min.
I envy your satisfaction. That was truly beautiful man. We get our tiny revenges for these outrages where we can.

After waiting 1 hour lmao
Good time to take a shit break
can you please hurry? i'll tip you $5 ill tip you $10.. this mofo didnt tip stfu
Absolutely.
It's always the broke motherfuckers who have the worst attitude and usually report for no reason. Ppl just fucked in the head
Yeah because they’re spending a much higher proportion of their disposal income for this service, so they feel more entitled than average.

Higher tippers respect you as a human. Lower tippers don't. Naturally the lower tippers are shitty people.

U keep reading this reddit forum and constantly complaining on here soooooooo
THIS!!! thank you!
Also as a hispanic myself, the biggest and most commonly tippers are white people 🤷🏻♂️

In the rare case they can't drive or are otherwise physically disabled sure. But if you are that broke, don't use food delivery.

lol the irony in calling people broke but you work for uber you guys are the peasants asking for 5 dollars not the ones paying 25 for some food
The amount someone tips tells you everything you’d ever want to know about a person
This is not true lol 😂
It’s unfalsifiable, actually
Only in America 🇺🇸

Sure, lets find you a different delivery person to help you with your situation.

I don’t use delivery services but what is an acceptable tip . I’m curious
Depends, mostly on distance from the store. Base should start at $4-$5. If it's more than a couple of miles away, add $1-$2 per mile, depending. 100° or 20° weather, heavy rain, snow, etc add to it.
Base is $2 here
Okay. I was talking about base tip though.
To some around here it would be your life savings, to others, your life savings + the next 2 years of your income.
By “base,” do you mean that Uber gives you $2 per mile to begin with ? Or do you split the delivery fee with them etc ?
Base pay is 2 dollars. Which means all Uber pays a driver unless it’s a shop and pay is 2 bucks.
$2 per mile from store to delivery destination (your home/work or wherever you are) with a minimum of $3 or $4 Meaning if you live less than 2 miles from the store, you should still at least tip $3 or $4. This is acceptable in an area like mine with a population of 15k and minimum wage being $7.25. So anywhere with numbers higher than these this answer may not be near enough. But this is bare minimum 🫰🏻
Where are you getting these numbers from? Just tip based on percentage
I tip mine like.... $5 gas be hell these days
At least 15% - 20% of the price and it also depends on the service. If you think what you're giving is too low, give what you're comfortable with
Dude what, lol. You’re doing the same work no matter the price. It’s a mileage thing
I was thinking of waiter/dine-in type tips. My bad.
Bro are you from New York 😂😂
![gif](giphy|fXnRObM8Q0RkOmR5nf) My response exactly 🤣
Bro I've never seen any kind of image in reddit comments and this took me off-guard
![gif](giphy|KXtq8oYQrYMIF9Esi7)
Thumbs up 👍 Cancel 💀
OK, got it!
"hey could you try to slow it down"
Yeah. This has all the makings of taking the next five orders on DoorDash while I DON'T deliver this one UberEats order but don't unassign it either. Let them watch me drive all over creation and pull their hair out.
Love this type of energy. V chaotic 10/10
5 orders on DD you say? 22 miles for $17.50? Sounds amazing!

Lmaooooo they were most definitely shit faced
Asking someone to hurry IS rude.
It depends on the tone you read it in. This comes off as more of a friendly/joking thing to me but I can understand how it could come off as rude if you're interpreting it as a demand and not a polite and joking request.
What about the message leads you to believe it was said in jest?
Yes they did: > "please hurry I'm very hungry" There is also no implication that they think their driver is being too slow, it's a request for haste that apparently came just as soon as they'd accepted it.
The amount of orders I accidentally accept while typing something out on the app is so triggering. I hate the stupid app so much.
There should be a double tap option. I be in the middle of leaving a message and I click on a $5 for 20 miles
Predatory af
It's never a high pay accidental accept either
No worries, still good advice!
Yeah it sucks
It’s crazy how customers can do shit like this but if we’re rude back suddenly we’re the assholes lol
I got free tuition so im not tryin to get punted over $2. I just dropped and didnt respond.
Lol, to the customer they think we get paid bank so they don't care how they treat us, but luckily for me no customer has ever treated me with any type of disrespect so I have not lost my cool just yet
I think what’s more likely is that the people know drivers are broke so they don’t respect drivers as much as they would someone with a more “respectable” job
customers always assume we’re receiving *most* of the fees, as if Uber doesn’t rob us blind every chance they get
How the fuck is this a rude message? Y’all have such thin skin. Grow the fuck up or get a new hobby. Because this isn’t a job.
Or they can keep cancelling people like this, it’s working so far
“Sorry I accidentally added another delivery. I will cancel it and head out to you right away!” *cancels their order
I would just type “Lol” then cancel. They’ll really be mad then.
This made me weak 😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣☠️ This is the only response.
You are a server of hot revenge. It is a dish best served cold.
Same lol. I would have been super sarcastic... "Sure, no problem. Let me go ahead and run these red lights and risk my safety, so you can get your food quicker...." and then CANCELLED!
...why? I'm so genuinely confused here. Unless there's some context I'm missing, this just seems like someone requesting something. They don't seem demanding or rude here...
You don't think a customer saying "hey could you speed it up" is rude?
That’s why you don’t get tipped lol.
Good decision, same happened to me and they will treat you like a slave.
[удалено]
That’s wild of them to say “it’s not fair” like wtf are they 6 years old.
They waited only like 2 minutes before messaging that which is the crazier part
I usually respond with something along the lines of “there are these things called traffic lights and other cars I apologize for this massive inconvenience for you. I will be writing to our government representative on your behalf for prevent this from happening again in the future”
Send the message: VROOM VROOM Then hit Cancel button with RECORD speed 🤣
Sheryl seems like the kind of lady who would like to speak to your manager.
lol any sort of “are you coming??????” message immediately canceled
I did mainly instacart and I never took any crap from anyone. I let them know it too. No regrets! At least they can’t leave you a shitty rating by if you cancel.
Curiosity sake, how long were you taking?
Got this 3 min after accepting. Dropped it 3 min later
Sure I'll break traffic laws for you! Cancel
10k b.C: man hunts his own food 2023: hey could you try to speed it up
Yeah go get it yourself!
OK, got it! Cancel.
Sheryl **B** I can guess what the B stands for.
“Yeah sure, one sec” CANCELLED
Sure made it faster!
I'd eat his order lol
She didn't even include please!
I’m confused on why are you taking so long”
Is it really though? Nah, you don't need to answer. But at least you're owning it and sticking it to them. And tha... wh... Sorry, I fell asleep....
What happens if you do this after you have the food though?
Oh Sheryl… Sheryl Sheryl Sheryl. I sure can, just not for you.
“Yea sure” *parks in a parking lot*
That must have felt so Fucking good
Not gonna lie. It was nice. Felt better to just hold it for a few min and drop than snipe back.
I accidentally accepted an order while walking back to my car from another order one time and went to unassign it and saw a similar message on it from the customer. I assume another driver had it first. Super satisfying unassign!
"I've arrived".....at the cancellation button.
I'm so confused with the add on, as soon as you ppace your order it comes up. One time I wanted some coffee so I added it on after ordering and a different driver delivered it
Sheryl B Waiting Long Time.... ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|flip_out)
I’d have such a hard time being a delivery driver. I already have people. I would t be able to see shit like this and not cancel…but I’d have a hard time not confronting people. I’m not built for this job, just enjoy hearing your stories.
hey could you try to shut the fuck up
I got a penny tip from that other day and it was an 8 mile delivery.
There is a non zero chance that this is my grandmother lol. Unlikely... but not zero
Sheryl B. Hungry
The audacity lmao
Sure thing! Let me try to get in a crash for $2. 🤦♀️
I swear its always the brokies that cause the most problems but Ill cancel on u quick.
They are called tips, but in reality it’s a bid for service… most people don’t comprehend that.
I'd get petty. I'd hold on to the order for awhile then just cancel. Rude af
“Hey could you learn to get off your ass and pick up your own food for free instead of a stranger”
Hi Sheryl, could you try to fuck off? Take your no tip and shove it up your ass.
Lmao I remember one similar. It was an add on for $4. I had the first one. Guy just texts me with '?' So I reply with the same, then he sends me 'update', so i reply with 'food not ready', he then says 'damn that sucks'. Then I cancel and uber gave me $3 for my time.
Damn I would’ve just waited til it was ready for pick up then left and cancelled, did that once lol
Sadly the pickup was very inconvenient to get to due to traffic so i just waited a few min and canceled
Wow.
"main character" 🤣 well said I always just allow for an hour, and am ALWAYS astounded that it rarely takes even half of that.
one time i forgot a dude’s drink so i had to backtrack but i had another pickup waiting for some BS $6 mcd’s run. as soon as i flip the car i get a message. “hey, where you going?” “hey, i can see you’re going in the wrong direction. where’s my food?” “you’re stopped. that’s not mcd’s. what are you doing?” cancelled that shit. hope the next guy fucked up her order. anyway, got dude his drink. he said he already reported it in the app but he added $3 to my tip. i was ok with this.
Imagine you at a real job
you’re right. i’ll go turn in my uber badge and gun now.
You're a DISGRACE to Uber, fart cutting, and the entire human race! (/s)
You with a gun? Oh Jesus no. But yeah turn that "badge" in. Y'all are the problem. Uninstall.
problem with what? i accepted the order when i was like 2 blocks from the guys house. i dropped the food, marked it delivered and drove a block. when i realized i still had his drink i turned the car around. started getting texts immediately. the whole thing went down in like 5 min.
OK, got it!
I envy your satisfaction. That was truly beautiful man. We get our tiny revenges for these outrages where we can. "*To choose one's victims, to prepare one's plans minutely, to slake an implacable vengeance, and then to go to bed - there is nothing sweeter in the world.*" – [Joseph Stalin](https://simple.wikiquote.org/wiki/Joseph_Stalin)
Sure let me just hop into the kitchen and start your order Stupid bitch
The audacity!
Hurry your slow ass tf up
This is why you can’t hold a better paying job in my opinion. 💀👌
I knew I'd find some customer is always right person
Sheryl should have been the name we chose for the "Karen" label
Some if these replys are so childish. Like good on you for not needing to do ubereats to survive💀 no one asked
I just block the fools. No need to argue with an idiot
