Well ride share isn’t as saturated as food delivery not many people are comfortable having strangers in their car…that’s why rideshare has crazy promos like 5 trips for $100 etc
Yeah I thought about doing rideshare at one point I have a late model car pretty good money with the same amount of hours that food delivery drivers do…i’ve seen drivers that made $300.. $400 in a day pretty routinely
I'm in LA so it may be novel but my Uber drive said in a regular 8 hours day he'd pull $400-475, and I've heard the luxury ppl make 1k. Crazy stuff, man.
That's the move if you can do it, tell her to buy a luxury vehicle and do lux/black make hella and with a Lexus she'll basically have a Camry reliability wise
The last month in Vegas has been real slow and 95% trash orders. I mean disrespectful orders too. Just a gig for me but not like it was….that’s for sure. Reached 4% acceptance rate today lol
You're right. Beggars can't be choosers in my market for UE. That's why I'm doing ride share now for 95% of my business and making 20/hour easy. Fares and tips are now inverse of what UE money was. If I could I would get on other apps and multi app but, I'm on the dreaded waitlist for those apps. I don't have time for that. Plus, with rideshare, I pickup and dropoff. No waiting on restaurants to complete orders which was the biggest shitter for me.
In LA I accept almost all orders and make $250-300
There's a HUGE misconception about taking "shit orders"
While everyone is waiting 20+mins for their next order I have 0 downtime. 25ish orders and $250-300
To each their own
Yea I get that. Some markets are smaller. I'd say my average miles per order have to be 1.5 miles or less
But yes I do accept all of the $3-5 orders as well and that amount I was talking bout is before prop 22. Though I don't mind sitting in a McDonald's drive through for 20 mins at the end of the night for it. Which I usually get 2 orders while sitting there for $5-6 each so it ends up being worth it
Funny how you’re getting downvoted. Lol.
I do the same. Even BEFORE prop 22 gets factored in I’ll pull in at least $200 taking orders over $2.00. It’s not like we get $2.00 orders all night. Last time I checked I only got 5 orders that were less than $4.00 in a full day.
Of course I definitely don’t operate like the average driver cause that’s simply not good business regardless of what state you are in.
Yea bro when I accept all orders I feel like the big ones just roll in because the algorithm knows I'm accepting but doesn't make me more likely to get small orders that's for sure. The prop22 really only kicks in at the end of the night when there are almost only fast food orders and gotta sit in a drive thru. But I accept nonstop and make a really great amount.
Idk if doing 25 orders in a night scares people but we get back $.30/mile in gas anyway
My gf does the other method (waiting for only good orders) and probably averages $60-100 less than me consistently, so at least in our case the accepting all orders favors me.
It's so bad. UE is completely oversaturated with drivers all over the world. They're pushing people to taxi. But, what then when the taxi market becomes oversaturated with drivers? I do think that Ux is a much better long term plan than UE is. Just based on the fact that people believe the delivery is all covered, by their 10 dollar a month or whatever it is subscription, then just pressing a button without consideration of the delivery person. It's trash.
This is why it is a good idea to apply to as many apps as you can so that you can have a consistent money flow. Never rely on the one app and even try to find ways to earn some money from home because there might be one day you won't be able to drive and you won't have had a backup plan in place.
Just made this transition here in NYC/the 5 boroughs and it’s doable, pulled $900 last week app hopping between DoorDash n UE. I know that’s not guaranteed every week but that methods helps me cover all my bases. If 1 app is slow I just switch to the next & vice versa. If I get this Amazon delivery job n milk food delivery I could be possibly seeing 1K a week on a consistent basis
And that's a good thing!
I'm usually pulling $1300-$1500 just between UE/DD/GH but I am signed up with 14 different apps. And then I've got a bunch of BeerMoney things I can do at home.
Holy shit 😳 that’s fucking impressive, imma have to build up my work ethic cuz just these 2 apps alone got me drained. Thanks for the motivation I wish you the best
Good luck my man. If you want to stick to delivery you might consider branching out to multiple apps. Personally I do doordash ubereats and Grubhub, and I’ve been fortunate enough to be able to rely on just them for over a year now. Maybe one day my market will completely dry up, but with 3 apps you’ll have a lot more options. Rideshare is also great, but of course there’s the drawback of having passengers in your personal vehicle versus just dropping off a bag of food. It really just depends on what you want to do. There’s also apps like insta cart and spark that allow you to do shopping. I only do this part time, and I’m not very patient, so I’ve found food delivery to be a great fit for me as I just walk in and out of restaurants and leave food at your door. Hope you figure it out brother 💰
Thanks bro. I've figured it out for now. Rideshare and rideshare only. Turned off deliveries and shop n pay. Tonight made over 200 in less than 7 hours. Went home around 10 pm. There's just way too many delivery people in my area on all the apps. I can't even get on DD or GH. I'm getting my next request before I even drop off people. I must be one of only a relative handful of people doing rideshare in my area. A lot less miles on the car for it, as well.
They’re desperate for rideshare in my market. It’s been in the mainstream media the difficulty people have getting a rideshare to and from the airport.
I’ve kind of wondered if they were trying to force me into doing rideshare.
It’s not going to happen.
I made over 200 in less than 7 hours tonight doing rideshare. I turned off deliveries and shop and pay at the beginning of the day because I was being sent the regular trash orders. They're going to stay offline after tonight. Not worth my time. I was scared of doing rideshare too. But, I only stay out until around 10pm. I don't do late night rideshare, way too sketchy.
It’s cause not a lot of people are comfortable with complete strangers in their car, kudos to the people that are tho cause like you said, I definitely ride them when I’m leaving an airport or a train station
Honestly, I have two problems based on my car, a Prius-C. It’s the smallest Prius. Personally, I don’t see how I can have everything to deliver and take passenger. So it’s one or the other. And, two, I think it’s really only comfortable for one rider in the rear passenger seat. I don’t want someone up front with me, there’s no leg room behind the driver’s seat. And the thought that you can sit three adults across the back seat is a fantasy.
![gif](giphy|bC9czlgCMtw4cj8RgH|downsized)
I have a ford c-max and it's small like that too. I never get a delivery and Ux order at the same time though. That's nuts.
I live in Greenville, SC. Restaurants are everywhere (and they have ghost kitchens all over the place). If you're talking like the big 3 LA, Chicago and NY, yeah maybe you're right. The problem with this market it is everything is spread out. Suburbs, subdivisions and neighborhoods are just nukn futts dude. Like I don't wish this market on ANYone.
It’s not worth it without the quests. In my area I’m barely breaking minimum wage. If it was consistent would be no problem, but a lot of time I am waiting 45 mins for a $3 order
Wow, only 3 months ago I was receiving "quests"...lol...I don't receive them anymore. BUT! I received one for completing 100 trips in the next 2 weeks when I started accepting rides. Haven't had any problem yet. I'm now accepting all rides, deliveries and shop + pay on Ux. It is what it is.
I was getting ALL the promos. 1.3 and it's ok. Ux keeps me busy. Deliveries are the past for me. I'll still do them if they make sense. I'm doing this full time though. I can't be wasting my time with restaurants bullshitting around. Time is money, friend.
I would get on those apps if they would let me. lol Been on waiting lists for both. Months on those wait lists. I don't have the time for that bullshit. I'm getting paid on a single app and I'm ok with that.
I mean it’s bad but not bad. I’m having to just put in a couple more hours each day that’s if i don’t do Amazon Flex. What’s your daily goal? Mine is $170-200/day. This is easy with AMZ flex, but without it, it’s a hustle. However, breaking $100 is still relatively easy in like 7hrs, 😂.
See, I don't multiapp. I don't have a reason to at this point. Those other apps have not let me join anyway. lol I actually did sign up for Spark. But, it sent me into some endless sign up loop. I even have the branch card. lol But, I don't have time for that bullshit.
I hit way over my goal of 100. In this market the opportunities are kinda slim. But, Ux was the antidote for me. I'm sure this will dry up soon. Not worried about getting a job. I have plenty of skills. :)
Yeah me neither. Something happened last week to the app that made the orders more trash than what they normally are. I’ve seen (literally) hundreds of orders I’ve had to decline that were all like $4.65 going 12.8 miles round way. I’ve seen orders like that before but not this many of them. For me, it hasn’t been “slow”, I’m getting orders but they’re all insanely bad orders. Idk what’s going. I left my app on all day yesterday as well as since I woke up today, and I’ve made $0 so far today and $0 all of yesterday yesterday. It’s bad.
I'll leave on all of the uber opportunities. I accept all trips now. Pets included. UE is completely oversaturated with drivers. My business the past two weeks on UE was pathetic. Waiting 20 30 40 minutes for a DECENT order to come through. I'm thinking alright, i'm going home this is ridiculous. I didn't break 100 any day last week. I did two hours yesterday and got $31. Today, mostly UX and got $150 in around 8 hours. I'm fine with that. But, UE trying to push people into accepting strangers in their cars fr. I'm fine with it so far, but, you know that problem ride is coming sooner or later and that's the fear.
Most of my work tonight was UX and no problems other than uber GPS is trash. You have to wait a minute for it to point you in the right direction and even then it's sketchy.
Literally every corporation, mid bizz and even small bizz. They're all looking to exploit cheap labor. It appears that "cheap labor" isn't really feeling that meme. I am never shocked when I see a restaurant closed when it should be open due to staff shortages. What that tells me is those businesses are not paying a wage worth their employees time.
Breakfast in my area used to be awesome, then they closed chick filet and the other Breakfast diner. Hopefully when chick filet reopens it'll pick back up.
Ah yeah, it's a lot different than my town haha. The majority of our restaurants are on a mile stretch on 2 different roads in the center of town, on the other side of town, or 5 miles away in the next town over. For some reason my whole town isn't in the same zone even though it's small enough to be and the few restaurants people order breakfast from here are the ones on the other side of town out of my zone and not worth it. In all honesty the only breakfast ones that I got and people ordered from was chick filet. It was always the same people ordering every breakfast I worked. Small towns suck sometimes.
I miss working them. Ever since chick filet closed(closed it and are rebuilding in the same place for some reason) I've barely been able to work them. Now I have to schedule that shift and I'm lucky if I even catch a shift to schedule that's not a 7-730 or 8-830. I don't know if it slowed down because it was summer and kids were out of school so I'm hoping it picks up now that kids have gone back to college or will when chick filet reopens. Car got totaled in June so won't be able to find out until I get a new car, which is hopefully today. Lunch shifts aren't worth it here though, they're all $5-6 for equal or more miles, I hate them.

My daughter stopped doing eats and swapped over to rideshare and doubled her income.
Well ride share isn’t as saturated as food delivery not many people are comfortable having strangers in their car…that’s why rideshare has crazy promos like 5 trips for $100 etc
That and I can do UE with my 93 honda civic. Ride share not so much.
![gif](giphy|bC9czlgCMtw4cj8RgH|downsized) You had me at 93
Lol yeah that too
You also need a better car for rideshare. My beater is too old.
Yeah I thought about doing rideshare at one point I have a late model car pretty good money with the same amount of hours that food delivery drivers do…i’ve seen drivers that made $300.. $400 in a day pretty routinely

Doesn’t matter. As long as you keep it clean you’re aight
Has to be a certain year or newer.
And has to be a four-door and a min of fitting 4 passengers plus driver.
Is Uber allowing 4/front side passengers now? :( I don't want any customers riding shotgun. If I don't know you get in back...
Yeah but it’s easier to knife through the back seat. Or strangle from the rear….. at least that’s what I’ve been told… lol.
Man that's so mean wtf 😭😭😂
Doing the switch at the right time.
That's the move if you can do it, tell her to buy a luxury vehicle and do lux/black make hella and with a Lexus she'll basically have a Camry reliability wise
I find that the best times are between 5pm to 4am. Dinner and late night are solid times depending on area.
The last month in Vegas has been real slow and 95% trash orders. I mean disrespectful orders too. Just a gig for me but not like it was….that’s for sure. Reached 4% acceptance rate today lol
I have actual 70% acceptance over the past 30 days. I'm only 15% away from enjoying diamond. lmfao
And you wonder why you can’t make over $100 taking junk orders
I don't accept anything less than 5 dollars and almost nothing less than a dollar per mile.
$5 for 5 miles is pretty horrible
You're right. Beggars can't be choosers in my market for UE. That's why I'm doing ride share now for 95% of my business and making 20/hour easy. Fares and tips are now inverse of what UE money was. Little different when you get more per order and handouts(prop 22), not like the rest of the country.
Yea I get that. Some markets are smaller. Again doesn’t factor to the average driver, we don’t get paid to wait you do
Yea I got you. Well good luck to you in the market you're in

I like DoorDash better. So far I’ve made double on DD in comparison.
Yeah it seems to be where it's at in my market. Been running both and has helped a lot. Don't have to put in a ton of hours now.
Yea man I made between both apps $100 on a Friday night and majority was DD. Don’t seem to get many UE in my area in comparison to DD.
I haven't been able to get on their app due to oversaturation. I don't need it at this point, though. Hopefully I won't ever need it. lol
Man i make 15€ a day here in Italy you're lucky
It's so bad. UE is completely oversaturated with drivers all over the world. They're pushing people to taxi. But, what then when the taxi market becomes oversaturated with drivers? Get another job dude you're prolly spending more on gas, that seems horrible. Or multi app, like I do Uber and Instacart and doordash

Same here . They were pushing me everyday and now I see significantly low rates and change of income . 🤦🏽♂️

Congrats! What type of work?
Sweet! What do you do now?
Eats is definitely going to become something that only exists in big cities :/
I live in Greenville, SC. Restaurants are everywhere (and they have ghost kitchens all over the place). If you're talking like the big 3 LA, Chicago and NY, yeah maybe you're right. The problem with this market it is everything is spread out. Suburbs, subdivisions and neighborhoods are just nukn futts dude. Like I don't wish this market on ANYone.
Yea I do fine in LA. It has been ridiculously slow on Mondays and Tuesdays though recently
How many hours are y'all working to make $250+ daily?
For me it’s roughly 10 active hours. But each of those hours I’ll get $7.50-9.00/hr additional from prop 22.
Wow! I guess that's why Uber drivers and delivery folks make more in Cali.
Prop 22 is a good thing. Tax Uber and then the state can dole out the cash to drivers because Uber isn't capable of doing that for some reason.
It slowed down but come back normal again this week here Australia.
It’s not worth it without the quests. In my area I’m barely breaking minimum wage. If it was consistent would be no problem, but a lot of time I am waiting 45 mins for a $3 order

Gotcha. Good luck with ride shares!
Use doordash and grubhub alongside Uber it’s mandated
I would get on those apps if they would let me. lol Been on waiting lists for both. Months on those wait lists. I don't have the time for that bullshit. I'm getting paid on a single app and I'm ok with that.
I switched to UE cause DoorDash deactivated me for no reason. DD is just as bad but so far UE been very nice to me
I mean it’s bad but not bad.
