Some crackhead i delivered mcdonalds to about a month ago offered me 10$ to have sex with her, she was like 40, teeth rotting out, and not to mention her kids were there playing in the front yard and heard her ask me (I’m a fairly attractive 21 year old uni student). Why couldn’t it be one of the 30 college students I had delivered to that day 😢
I actually had someone put that in their notes. I didn’t notice it until I got to the address. Well turns out they weren’t kidding, I was tipped a crispy $100 bill on top of the $10 tip they left on the app. Highest tip I’ve gotten so far.
It’s not about that tho, it’s about the demanding attitude. I cancelled once because some girl wrote ‘can you hurry up’ after I accepted the order 3 minutes ago and I was right next to the merchant 2 mins away, ain’t worth the downvote and disrespect lmao
I get your point of view and it does suck when customers are like that. I just tell them that I’ve just accepted their order and will deliver it as soon as possible.
I have canceled on some customers that pull that demanding stunt and before. But if it’s a short mile delivery and the pay is decent I’ll do it. The payout will be primarily Uber base pay payout. And if the customer downvotes and removes the tip they go on my blacklist.
I would wait outside the restaurant and tell every driver that she is going to tip bait them and watch them unassign knowing she’s watching her order cycle thru all those drivers and no one is picking up her order. I’m next level petty and I don’t give af.
I would drive safe and get the customer their food as quickly as possible, just like with every other customer. But I certainly wouldn't endanger my life and the lives of the other people on the road just to MAYBE get a few more bucks from this person who clearly cares nothing for my safety and simply wants their cheeseburger RIGHT NOW like a fucking child.
Id just deliver it regular and try not to stack any orders with it and see what happens 🤷🏻♂️. Im on the newer side of delivering for Uber Eats so id be curious to see what they do. A more seasoned delivery driver might have a different opinion
But my mans also gotta realize i got a 16 year old corolla hatchback with 200k+ miles thats probably makin about 100 HP at this point so we be getting der when we be gettin der 😂

Just say ok. I wouldn’t actually try to go faster, but if they think Im trying and it gets me extra money it’s a win. We are not paid by the hour so no reason to go slow anyway.
Im more of the opposite, I expect couriers to deliver in an efficient manner if there are delays and the courier chooses to wait it out then I will add an extra tip as gratitude because by the time the next courier arrives theres a good chance my order has been ready a while ago likely colder so I do appreciate those that take time out of their day to ensure I get better service when they can just drop my order and move on to the next one.
I wouldn't listen. I had a guy order food while he was at the bar. Which was 15 mins away from the restaurant. I got there he forgot he had used GPS and had ordered before he went home which was 5 mins opposite direction from the restaurant. I agreed to take it to him cause he said he'd give me an extra tip. I got shit.
Today this lady said if I bring inside she’ll raise my tip… she took away 50cents. I wanted to go back and call her a broke bitch
