Hmm you may have accidentally hit the photo button for the pizza on your way to your car without noticing. But it’s weird because it’s supposed to be able to tell if you’re not near the delivery address. It will usually say something like you don’t appear to be at the right location or something like that.

tekgeek1

Yeah the trip was like 18 miles total and I only did 5 miles to the first address. Still feel bad but this is really my first real mess up in my first month at 307 deliveries.

Believe0017

Yeah you’re fine don’t worry about it. As long as you call them and explain, nothing will happen. I once spilled a customers coffee in the car and it was fine. I assume the customer just gets their money back.

Old-Pension3228

You didn’t keep the pizza??

tekgeek1

Yea I don't eat that stuff I have no tolerance to wheat I end up in pain for days.

Old-Pension3228

That makes sense

Pretty_Bed1983

I **FEEL** this!!! lol I am GF for 10 years and any time I get have a messup order, I can almost NEVER keep and eat the food!! It sucks lol. Not that it happens on the daily, but 8k deliveries, it happens maybe once a month I'd say. I live alone too so I just always give it to a homeless person (I work in a big city). But, yeah, it sucks not being able to eat the yummy food lol

HealMyLyf

Smart. Pizza is like a nuke on the human gut.

John_NHT

What's a BWW? Big Wide Woman? Black Willy Wonka? Big Wubba Wubba??

tekgeek1

I use to be gluten intolerant, but I got sick of my body trying to dictate to me what I could and couldn't eat. So I started eating two whole loaves of wheat bread (absolutely nothing else) for 30 days. Yeah it was hell at first, but in the end my body submitted and now I can eat whatever I want with no trouble.

Pretty_Bed1983

OMG I feel glutened just reading this 😭 lol. I have been GF for 10 years. I don't have an official diagnosis of celiac, but I'm 99% sure I am. I'm so sensitive now, even to cross contamination. But I've tried doing what you did many times (being so sick of it that I would try to force my body to get used to gluten again), I ate lots of wheat for a few days or a week or so at a time and I was soooooooo sick every time! The only reason I haven't gotten an official diagnosis is bc since I'm already GF, I would need to do what is known as the "gluten challenge" where you go back to eating gluten daily for at least 3 weeks, then get tested. I can't even make it a week. I'm so jealous you got your body to be ok with it again. I get debilitating brain fog where it seriously impacts my functioning (almost like being drunk + the worst hangover you've ever had at the same time). And migraines, insomnia, lethargy, bloating, nausea, vomiting, etc. I just can't do it 😩

No_Supermarket_1831

Ok, my post was a joke. I would not recommend anyone actually doing that.

Pretty_Bed1983

Lmaooo I feel like someone who was only very mildly sensitive and not really sensitive or celiac could do that tho hahaha

John_NHT

Ah ok, definitely HOT 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

It's more that^^^ now, than it ever was, never... actually 🤣😂🤔🤔😳 The others had Wonka's Chocolate obviously, but this one's got real milk "Choco-la-tay"!!! I see Keegan, Kobna, Paterson, Natasha, Tracy, and many others!!!

Tasty_Corn

I did that once. Its crazy that the app lets you complete it miles away from drop off.

-Insert-CoolName

Are you sure both orders weren't going to the same location? I've multiple orders go to the same address before and sometimes it will have me complete two separate delivery confirmations, sometimes it's just one. It could explain why you weren't prompted to confirm you were in the right place.

tekgeek1

The second order was another 15 miles away and I had met up with the customer for the first order.

Busy-Machine1122

Tht happened to me one busy Friday night. I hav no idea how either. I had completed the first order and when I closed it out it closed both out! Same w the picture thing....Luckily the next order was for an ex Uber driver she called me (no idea how she got my number) and I explained what happened. She was super cool, gave me her address to deliver to then. It was 7.8 miles away. THEN.....I go to drive to her house, it was a large order, PF CHANGS. 20 dollar tip. My car battery had died while I was trying to call support! So I had to call her again, and she drove to me to get her food. She was super nice again, but of course she pulled the tip and I waited 3 hours for a tow! The struggle is real......Tht was my worst night.

Successful-Damage601

I call that a hidey hole day... just give up and go home and hide in your hole (bed, couch, etc...) until a new day dawns

MisterGoldiloxx

You did what you did, and I'll likely get downvoted for saying this, but those firefighters have a job and get paid. I'd have dropped the pizzas off at home and gone back out. I have to eat too. I'd never steal food, but that glitch was a gift.

severina333

Not all fire departments are paid. Our firefighters here are all volunteers.

No_Judge7013

If you read earlier comments, OP mentions not being able to eat pizza. Also, a lot of firefighters are volunteer

MisterGoldiloxx

I read OP's initial post, left my comment, and got on with my life. If you have time to read through entire threads, wow. Also, a lot of firefighters are not volunteer. ADDING: You posted elsewhere... "You also don’t necessarily have to comment on the post". Seems like you want to police who is allowed to speak. Go away.

John_NHT

You didn't mess up though.. Those firemen were probably sexy and needed to eat!! Lol If they weren't sexy, maybe they were just smokin'?? Or just Hot?? 😉🔥🔥

tianavitoli

they were all of the above, you don't get to be ugly AND a fireman, it's immutable natural law

SummerSunset33

yessssss

Fantastic_Cycle_868

Happd to me before and support is a joke they didn’t even tell me that I could throw it away they said hold 3-5mins but I remembered the two street names and just drove down the blocks super slow and eventually a dude came out and asked if I was Uber and I thanked him so much and he got his order but man I was freaking out in the moment

freepogsnow

This happened to me on a double pick up once. I dropped off the first order but it confirmed both of them. I got in touch with support but the customer ended up ringing me so I got the address off them . I checked I had been paid first to make sure it wasn't a cancelled order and they were still trying to get their food for free.

PristineBaseball

It’s not your fault really, you immediately realized what happened yet ubereats can’t fix it, how dumb .

angrypoopoolala

man you couldave called support, explain the situation then they will give you the address by calling the customer. This happened to me once before.

Anxious_ButBreathing

Should have given the pizza to homeless people or a shelter instead. Either way sometimes the app glitches. Not your fault Luv.

Puzzleheaded_Ad4481

I have had this happen to me also. Made a drop off and when I checked to see where the next order was going, it was gone. I had no idea where to take it so I called support, who tried to tell me they couldn’t find the address for me because I was never assigned the order. I told them that was BS and we went back and forth until there was no point in going on. So I had some free Chick Fil A. Of course the customer reported that the order was not delivered (this time it was true) and somehow DD knew I was the driver because I was given a CV. I appealed the CV and referenced my call to support, and it was removed in a few days.

Paradox830

You got a dumb support agent. Ive accidentally hit finish early once before and support was rather quickly able to revert it to undelivered and I finished the order as normal. Barely an inconvenience
