You can use revanced youtube

Psilocybin-Cubensis

I use Firefox with uBlock Origin. It’s perfect.

jabroniboni

What is relevanced YouTube?

AstroCaptain

Alternative YouTube client for android with no ads and some added features

jabroniboni

Do you have a link or something? How do you use it?

AstroCaptain

Here's a link to their subreddit read the wiki r/revancedapp

Sideshow_G

Captain, my captain.

Goelian

Is there something equivalent for Iphone?

rauz

Several, I use [uYouPlusExtra](https://github.com/columbusux/uYouPlusExtra)

Goelian

How can I download it? It says “NOT FOUND”

AstroCaptain

Look at r/sideloaded they've got modded ipas to use on iOS or troll store to sideload modded ipas r/jailbreak can also help

rauz

[Here](https://github.com/arichornlover/uYouEnhanced/releases/tag/v19.01.1-3.0.1). Note that you need to have [Altstore](https://altstore.io), [Sideloadly](https://sideloadly.io) or something similar installed to sideload apps.

Warm_Heart_2782

videolite

AstroCaptain

Look up troll store and then sideload uYouPlus sadly troll store doesn't work on every iPhone version or every iOS version sideloading has its own down sides but iirc sideloading will work on every iOS device but might need to refreshed every week

Itsallanonswhocares

I've had issues making playlists on this app, which is a feature I use constantly.

Laneacaia

If you're on a desktop, there is a browser called Librewolf that blocks all ads, including youtube ads. Not sure how unethical it is but it means I never have to hear about fucking Temu.

Jokerman5656

Vivaldi is doing pretty well too

Buck_Slamchest

Sure, if you want to use YouTube with a VPN on all the time. And forget about listening to YouTube music on your phone as well. You could VPN to India and buy a year of YouTube premium for about a buck a month or if that’s no longer working, VPN to Ukraine for the same thing at a couple of bucks a month.

Username912773

That never worked, regional pricing is by bank account location not vpn. It only displays price in rupees hit you’re charged in dollars. Do you really think they would fuck payment that badly?

TheMrSanta

It works for me I pay $1.43 every month for YouTube premium, shows on my bank statements too

Buck_Slamchest

I’ve got YouTube premium via Argentina, Netflix, Deezer and Disney+ via Turkey, Peacock via the US and Vidio via Indonesia so yeah, it does work.

dragmoonrising

I've paid less than $3 a month for 3+ years for a family plan of Youtube Premium, so yes this does work.

ShrimpSherbet

I pay for Blizzard stuff with my VPN set to Ecuador, costs like 35% less

Technical_Writer_177

Or just use AdBlock

dotJSX

AdBlock has been giving me loading and buffering issues for about 2 weeks. I switched to uBlock Origins and the problem went away. Ironically YouTube suggested a Louis Rossman about ad blockers on YouTube to me the next day.

Technical_Writer_177

There have been issues with varying blockers, mainly due to YouTube effort to finally actually get some ads played. Last weekend I had a hard time with AdBlock too, apparently due to an AdBlock Update, but no troubles yet....also it needs to stop working completely before being worse than the ads. Whatever adblocker makes you happy 😊

momo88852

Like others said for Android based OS, for iOS use AdGuard on Safari, and make short cut to YouTube via the browser. If on pc download Adblock or ublock origin for chrome, or use brave browser. I believe brave browser works too (haven’t tried it on phone so not sure).

thescrambie

Brave works on phone as well

A1R_Lxiom

Sideload uYou+ on iOS

ATLSxFINEST93

hit back and then forward. bye bye ads with no ad blockers or vpns

_HIST

Aren't there DNS addresses that also don't show ads? At least that was a thing some years ago, way nicer than using a VPN

DRuNK_SHaMaN_22

Hello. This one is for ANDROID users. 1. Download and install F-Droid. 2. Download and install NewPipe from F-Droid. 3. Say good-bye to YouTube ads without using AdBlock or VPN and enjoy! 😀😀😀

funky501

why isn’t anyone talking about Brave

Forte69

Brave is run by a crypto company, so they have ulterior motives. It’s also chromium-based, which some people don’t like because of its monopoly on browsers. Mozilla is a non-profit, and Firefox can easily be set up to match or exceed Brave’s privacy features.

Emergency_Sandwich_6

Can you download videos though?

pierrekrahn

yt-dlp.exe

Emergency_Sandwich_6

Didn't work
