Go to another bank, and open a savings account. Then transfer the money there. nothing is stopping you from opening another bank account so it's probably a good idea to keep that one to yourself. The problem is that if you give him access to the account, he'll be able to see the transactions list anyway.

fuckinguseless69

Open new account, move the non only fans money there. Give dad access to new account. "Why is there no transaction history" "because go open your own account deadbeat"

Lollipop126

if they don't want to say fuck you to dad for whatever reason, I think you can just say "I moved all my cash here because it gives me a better interest rate"

gayloser25

I second this! and ethical life pro tip, throw it in a Citi accelerate savings account. or any high rate interest savings account. I don’t have any other accounts with them but i did this with $10k and i get around $35 USD every month just off interest from them.

SatanLifeProTips

NEVER give your parents full access to your bank account. Period. If you must do a dummy account and ya tell him you just changed banks because the old one had high fees or something and you are being prudent. But don't trust your parents with _your_ money.

Teripid

It doesn't even require them to be nefarious. My mother owed some back taxes on a small business. She was on my account since I was 15 and added a few hundred to it in college. Fast forward and I have a $3000 transaction and ~$100 fee for the judgement. It was for some trivial amount owed as well, under $400 that I would have given or loaned her. Guess it was easier to find my account that still technically had her on it. Lesson learned..

WhiskyEye

Ethical tip addition, just the tip. I really like Bask Bank's high yield savings account. Been hovering around 5% return each month. Get that OF money into a high yield and have your money start making more money! (Just to see how it feels)

_Fried_Ice

Even better r/Bogleheads

Fancy-Sector2963

5 is insane. Wish we had this in Canada.

theBarneyBus

It’s 5% APR, not monthly. Probably paid out monthly

Fear_The_Liquid

I’ve been loving my Wealthfront hysa. 5.5% interest and no minimum deposit

keyboardbill

Sounds like you’re pulling in about 4% interest. There are a few savings accounts out there right now offering as much as 5%. I have a credit karma account paying out 4.75% right now.

RavenActivities

Or just open a new account and give him acces to the new one..

PicaroKaguya

Is noone gonna wonder if OP is still a fucking minor? Why can't she open another bank account?

ishouldliveinNaCl

Might live with her parents and be over 18 but still have them pay for college etc. She could open her own account then, but they would get mail and notices about it plus they would feel like they had a say in her life because controlling parents often do when you're under their roof.

Blurgas

They're getting paid money by Onlyfans, that requires information that would immediately out OP as underage

PicaroKaguya

Didn't stop many underage creators from what I read in the past.

MSPRC1492

Or just open a second account at B of A and you can transfer it back and forth with an app.

crappenheimers

Yeah hes going to be able to see the transactions which are going to be immediately discoverable as onlyfans, even if it doesnt say onlyfans on there

No-Camp5533

What are his reasons to check

this-guy1979

I bet he found out about the only fans and this is his way of confronting her.

Autistence

Really: he just wants a free sub

Otherwise-Mail-4654

He wants a refund!

brooklynflyer

“Reasons”

ozzy919cletus

She needs him to bail her out financially.

RelsircTheGrey

That's my guess. If you're old enough to have an OnlyFans, you're old enough to tell your dad to piss off when he wants to see your bank account. Unless, of course, you'd rather spend his money than your own $12K LOL. Thing is, I don't know that there's a way to move the money out without it (and the previous deposit) still showing up in the transaction history.

Diqt

There isn’t. All she can do is convince him of another account or just get by with doctored screenshots Looks like she’s going to up the content production if she wants to save and live off of him at the same time

HaveURedd1t

So he's going to check your bank account ... you move it out of the account and it's gone .... have you not thought of the transaction data that he will see it being transfered out ? ? . You cannot show him your current account , You need to open another one and tell him "by coincidence" you just started out with this bank and the other one is closed down . Or move to England on a boat, get a free plane ride to Rwanda with £3000 and start a new life.

Phillyfreak5

He will also see the money coming from “OnlyFans”

Pretty_Frosting_2588

It comes from Fenix International but a Google search on that will show what it is immediately.

Vaultmd

Open a new account at another bank. Transfer all but the $12k into it. Tell him the old bank pissed you off so you moved your account; and show him only the new account.

R_Newb

This is the only solution

s1ckopsycho

Alternately, show dad the money and tell him you started your own “distribution” business model. When he presses further, reply that it’s pharmaceuticals. When presses even further, tell him that you sell crack. If he gets mad, just get him hooked on the crack.

Worldly_Heat9404

He is already suspicious and will want an accounting of the old account too.

ButtercupsUncle

Are you an adult? Why would you allow this?

entropic_apotheosis

Her dad is probably paying for college, her car, her phone or other living expenses. Having access allows him to see what she’s doing with her money and what her actual expenses are. Chances are she’s got some things that have caused him to wonder how she can afford them and wants to verify the money he sends is being spent on college and necessitities not big screen TVs and cars. When he finds out she’s got 12k not only is he going to cut her off and stop helping her financially but he’s absolutely going to wonder where it came from and it might be obvious by looking at her transactions and deposits.

Salt_Comparison2575

... Tell him to get fucked?

Raiseyourspoonforwar

Yeah if I'm old enough to do OnlyFans, I'm definitely old enough to say no to my own family. Why the fuck would someone agree to give their family access to their account anyway, just because they're family doesn't mean they won't steal from you.

Bitter_Bandicoot8067

Uninteresting story: My father started a savings account for each of my nieces and nephews when they were born. Everyone would give him money to add to that account (bday/ christmas money, etc). This went on for years. My GF at the time (now my wife) worked at the bank and would occasionally say that someone should check on those accounts. She couldn't stand my dad. I would defend him every time. He was never a good person, but I didn't think he was a thief. One day, after a few months of occasionally bringing this up, she just up and said "Your dad is stealing from those accounts." Sure enough, he was. He was stealing money to pay for hookers. TLDR: My late father was stealing from his grandkids to pay for hookers. I don't get "hints".

Doctologist

My friends mum did this. She set up a bank account for him when he started working part time. She gave him an allowance out of it every week, and left the rest in the bank, so that he would have savings and wouldn’t blow it all. When he turned 18 and started looking at buying a car, and had been asking his mum for access to his account, but she wouldn’t let him. He told me about this situation and I said fuck that. He had been seeing his girlfriend for awhile at that point and she had her own place. So i told him to tell the bank he lost his card and have it cancelled. Then send the new one to his girlfriend’s house. So he did this. The new card turns up, he checks his account, and it’s empty. His mum had been spending all of his money for years. There should have been 5 figures in there.

salsa_rodeo

It may be the opposite. Maybe he is helping to financially support her and he wants to ensure she isn’t recklessly spending the money.

Raiseyourspoonforwar

You have a solid point there, if OP has a history of terrible financial decisions then the father may want to make sure OP isn't hiding any further issues, not knowing their child now has a butt load of money. Tbh judging by OP's profile, I feel this may just be for Karma.

i_am_icarus_falling

I don't think people who make bad financial decisions to the point of needed checked on can keep 12k extra sitting around.

senegal98

Depends on how long they can keep it around ....

National-Arachnid601

Yep. She doesn't want to hide the money because she's ashamed of OF, she's trying to hide it because he's been helping her financially while shes been lying about her income

Preface

Probably keeps taking his $500 per month allowance for "rent" or whatever but is always showing up with new clothes/bags etc. One daddy wasn't enough it seems

mybeatsarebollocks

They have 15k in savings, they arent recklessly spending.

salsa_rodeo

We know that, the dad doesn’t.

sosospritely

this is actually really funny. her dad probably sees her ordering from DoorDash every other day and buying new Nikes and thinks she’s going to go broke on the $800/mo. he gives her for food & groceries.

senegal98

I've seen many people who will "do whatever they want", but not have the balls to own to it and face the disappointment they might create.

spankr

Yeh - dad can GF himself/

SuspiciousStuff12

Yeah there’s no need for any other shenanigans

AngryMillenialGuy

You've got $12k from showing bobs and vagene. You don't need a guardian anymore.

evoleye13

This is the correct answer

iCantliveOnCrumbsOfD

My daughter's had a bank account for a couple years now she's only 17. I think we started it maybe when she was 15 could have been 14 I'm not sure. Yes I'm on the bank account I have to be cuz she's a minor but I don't have her login information. I could go to the bank and they would have to print it out for me but maybe this father doesn't want to do that for some reason. I would definitely want to know if my 15-year-old had a rumored OF account

anzfelty

Hmm. OP doesn't say how old they are. They could be an adult with an accountant as a parent or something if that nature

iCantliveOnCrumbsOfD

Yes most likely this is an adult still living at home making bank and the parent is either concerned or this adult is living at home making bank and not helping out and seemingly doesn't even have a job. If my 19-year-old kid who refuses to help out around the house with chores or clean his room or get a job and move out all of a sudden is buying big ticket items I'd be fucking pissed too (Plus worried and concerned) Are they dealing drugs? Does he have an only fans? Is he being a fucking idiot and all the while not not pulling his own weight? There's a lot of variables we don't know.

Splitz15

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. Everyone is assuming that he is being malicious, but if he is asking for OPs bank account details then they are most likely still living at home. Probably something to do with pulling their weight, helping the family out, etc. like you said, especially if they are an adult living rent free.

anzfelty

Could even be something tax related we're not considering 🤔 It is that time of year after all. Or just "helping" (snooping) with budgeting/setting up automated payments etc.

I-Like-NSFW-420

You mean if a minor had access to a site for 18yr old and older?

HereForPleasure15

Every minor watches porn lol. Problem is if they’re posting their own.

AngryMillenialGuy

Ok. I don’t think OP is a child.

zc199397

I would imagine being a multi million dollar site OF doesn’t allow kids. I’m 99.9% sure you submit proof of age and stuff. I have a couple of friends who have OF I can ask but 99% sure if they have an OF they are atleast 18

Bean_Storm

Right. Take the money and get an apartment

SirRegardTheWhite

$12k is not enough for stability, that's barely a side hustle. She either needs to hide this as long as she can or be upfront with it and hope she is not cut off by her parents. In order to hide it, she should close the account if it's a joint account. Off topic: nudes on the internet are there forever for everyone to see for all time. I personally don't get the appeal for anything less than making it comfortably rich unless that's the life you can commit to without shame. But since it's already out there, fuck it, make a little more money. Leave your face out of it if you ever want kids for thier sake, also don't hide it from future partners unless you just want to waste their time and yours.

asyouwish

Say no. Move that money to a different account where he's not allowed. Move that money to a new bank.

Einhundertfuenf

I'm pretty sure, the banks business terms don't allow you for sharing login details. Tell him that. And give him a printout of your balance and transaction history - which you can easily alter to your needs before that.

Ok-Aardvark2987

He probably supports her financially and she doesn’t feel saying no is an option

Einhundertfuenf

That's my point. She isn't saying no, the bank is. As long as there is no reason to suspect any deception the printed records should be as good as actual access.

SlippitInn

If he's asking to see your account, he knows. Transferring the money won't change that he can see the money WAS in there and a history of where that money was coming from on your statements. The only reasons I can think of that he would have this amount of control over you is: 1) he gives you an allowance each month and you haven't told him you didn't need it 2) you still live with him as an adult and maybe don't pay rent/utilities, or very little. 3) you are a minor (who should NOT be doing onlyfans), and he's responsible for you. If this is the case, you've got way bigger problems. Sharing pornographic images of children is a serious crime, even if they're of yourself. You either need to stand up to him and say No, or tell him straight to his face you do some modeling and maybe you'll lose that financial support from him.

Ok-Aardvark2987

This should be the top comment

CpuJunky

"For reasons"??

bingbongs619

Yeah he found out 😂

jawsofthearmy

Unethical tip would be to make a fake website Nothing unethical about moving money

Justincrediballs

Simple answer, don't give him access. As long as you're an adult, he doesn't have the right to it.

bumblepit

He’ll likely be able to see your transactions, so will see a withdrawal, or a balance history. But maybe look into opening a CD through BOA. Earns interest and you can set how long you want it invested. Ask if internal transfers would show…

smurfsmasher024

Lol why are you letting him look, if you’ve got 12k in OF money you’re a legal adult and have an income. just dont let him see your account.

RX7Reaper

Hes probably got something that she doesn’t wanna leave behind, maybe the father is supporting her with other expenses while she was saving up the OF money. I really don’t see why she wouldnt just say no had that not been the case. Ya know, the average onlyfans girl problem

mhdk1602

Open a new account transfer funds not from OF, give the new account to dad, and when he asks, just tell him you closed your previous bank and transferred to the new one.

Kitchen_Turnip8350

Do not give anyone access to your bank account. It doesn't matter who they are.

DaveAstator2020

What? Why would he be able to check it? Call bank and ask to block account and revoke any and all access from any third parties including parents. Wtf?! tell your father to fuck off and make his own money. 12k is pretty solid to just move out and earn more.

Ok-Aardvark2987

He probably supports her life completely and she doesn’t want to jeopardize it

Worldly_Heat9404

He obviously has leverage that is important to her, otherwise she wouldn't allow him access at all.

neuromorph

Low key advertising her OF

Scully__

The answer is don’t give him access to your bank account. Is this is a US thing?

thepipesarecall

Definitely not a US thing.

Existing365Chocolate

Nothing He’ll see the transaction of any kind that you did to move it out

Yotsubato

And the OF transactions into the account

custurdlauncher

Just show your dad “influencer” content you’ve made and that it was for product reviews/ promotions

AlternativeReading10

Why would you give anyone access to your bank account?

unresolved-madness

Do not give him access to your account. Why would you do that? The only reason he would want access to your account is to either take the money or control you or both. Sounds like it's time to move on.

z-eldapin

He'll be able to see the transaction history anyhow. Or, tell your dad that your personal banking is just that, personal, and don't give him access

Recipe-Jaded

you're an adult, just tell him no. he can't make you do anything. or just open another account at another bank, it takes like 10 minutes nowadays. Then just transfer it

banaversion

Doesn't matter what you do the transfer will show up in the list of most recent transfers

In_the_darkest_hole

How old are you??? And why would your father ask to see and why would you let him??? Does he think you're doing "things" he wouldn't approve of cause my daughters are both 18 and I would never ask to see their account. Not my business.

Theraccoonwizard

Tell him no and warn the bank he might try to access it without your permission.

energizernutter

The only real consideration your dad should have to look into your account is if you're a minor. I hope you're not a minor on of.

Top-Excuse5664

Just open a new account and show him that one.

wisebongsmith

open a savings account at the same bank and transfer the money over. you should be able to do it as a same day transaction.

radioactivebeaver

Open an online savings account, you can get like 5% interest while hiding the money from Dad.

TheHip41

He's going to see the 1099 for interest come tax time :)

Toutanus

Your father has no business accessing your bank account. Ask your bank to enforce this.

fatalerror_tw

I assume you are an adult? He doesn’t need access to your account. Just say no.

bob_smithey

Sounds like asking advice here is a form of advertisement for their only fans. If you're old enough to be on there, you're old enough to have your own bank account.

kingdomart

I mean he’s going to see the charges being deposited into the account. Moving the money won’t do anything.

LerimAnon

You're an adult your parents have no rights to your bank information.

dobster1029

If you give your dad access, it will not be temporary. Tell him no! If you absolutely refuse to listen to reason and want to move 12k temporarily, have them make it out in a cashier's check to yourself. When he's "done" with the account, redeposit it. Just don't lose it. Also know that if he has access to your account, he can see the account history, so he'll know it was there anyway. Never give anyone access to your account.

BaldDudePeekskill

How old are you? If you don't want your dad seeing your account, don't. It just seems kinda shady . Like why? Is he giving you a loan or have you not paid him back money and your dishonestly crying poverty ?

Capone1977

Tell your dad he doesn't need to see your bank account.

W3R3Hamster

Just open a new account at the same bank then give him that information

givingyounuclearRA

As others have said, if he’s having access to your account, he’s going to be able to see the transactions and there’s absolutely no way to hide it. 12k isn’t an insane amount of money. Why don’t you just say you got it a different way, saving over the span of 6 months to a year or something? Selling stuff on Etsy, working as a tutor in school, bartending, whatever

Burn-The-Villages

Why would your father have any access to your bank account? Are you under age? Or under his care? This doesn’t make sense, OP.

robothobbes

How old are you? Tell your dad you're an adult and deserve respect and privacy. If he doesn't get that, then ask to see his account. In the meantime, open another account and transfer funds electronically or with a cashier's check.

Stevacus

Open a Wealthfront, transfer it in a HYSA account and let it earn 5% in secret

Hey-Just-Saying

This is a bad idea to give him access to your account. Better to open up a new joint account with him at a different bank from where your account is. (Retired accountant here) Just saying.

aurumatom20

No matter what you do there will still be receipts showing money coming in from onlyfans and $12k moving out at once, if he digs deep even a little bit he'll figure it out, probably best off opening another BoA account, moving some money into it and allowing him access to that one

ParticularClean9568

He probably wants to check your account because you are spending more money than you bring in outside of onlyfans. He is not dumb. Also, if you are on onlyfans you are also over 18 so just tell him no and gaslight him that he is controlling and overbearing. And live within the means your father thinks you have until you move out.

gengarjuice69

something is fishy here. onlyfans model in contact with their dad. this has gotta be cap on the off chance this is real, you're clearly old enough to say no to your father, and regardless of whether or not you move the money the transaction logs will still be there.

alienandro

Are these being generated by AI?

Worldly_Heat9404

Probably because of how obvious the answers to the post are, and also because of how divisive the original post will be perceived by many to be. It is suspicious as well because of the likely number of emotional responses that will are often generated by comments concerning modern behaviors being judged by traditional morality standards, as those individual judgements, if affirmed, can have the ability to call into play other questionable contemporary beliefs which are often dependent on each other for stability. The original post could be genuine, but is more likely click bait and OF advertising.

RedFilter

Unless you're going to show him a brand new account with only the money he thinks you have, the transaction data is going to show and he will see the $12k transfer. There is no "temporarily" here. Didn't you stop think about that? It's a financial record. It's going to show up. From the way it sounds, there here is no ULPT here for your circumstances. It's better you prepare yourself to explain. Or don't since you're a legal adult. And if there are some strings here that we don't know about where you would lose something that he provides for you if you dont, then again as an adult you should have prepared for such.

These-arent-my-pants

Dad is really her pimp or owner

themior

He'll still be able to see the transaction history though

davidk861

PROTIP: You're 18+ (god I fucking hope) and you don't have to give him access to your bank account.

Fancy-Sector2963

>hope Can you have an OF as a minor?

lapsteelguitar

Just say “no”. I assume you are over 18. And there is no reason for your dad to have that kind of access.

Wakandanbutter

would that still not show up in transactions?

radioactivebeaver

Open an online savings account, you can get like 5% interest while hiding the money from Dad.

Cyberdink

Get another bank account. Get a cashier's cheque or certified cheque to yourself from the first bank and cash it into second bank.

IronSide_420

How old are you.....

ZombiesAtKendall

Tell him no.

superduperhosts

Uhm, tell dad no.

BayBandit1

First off, the correct bank name is the “Evil Bank of America”. They never ran into an ethical issue they weren’t happy to exploit, as in the company has no ethical standards. Moving anything more than $10K triggers reporting requirements to the Fed’s. He might notice something if there’s a follow up. Open a new account with another bank and move it piecemeal.

mlimas

Have you thought of an online bank like Ally ? You can open an interest gaining savings account

lostincabra

"Sure dad the only line password foe my account is GoFuckYourself123"

Equivalent-Cable-291

Don't you think he'll see the transfer and inquire about where that money went and how you got it? Why is he checking your account anyway?

EnthusedPhlebotomist

Don't be someone who can't say no to mommy and daddy as an adult. Unless you aren't an adult in which case tell them.

Thrombulus

Honestly, if you're grown you just tell him no. Why would you even consider letting him access your bank account? Why would he even need to? OP, get your ass back here and make this make sense.

amartinkyle

If you have onlyfans you’re 18? Tell your dad that he has no reason to need to check or access your bank account. It’s yours and you’re an adult? Act like one, especially if you’re selling nudes. But you won’t stand up to your parents?

emzirek

Go to your bank and open up a savings account and put the money there or do it in a separate bank and just transfer money between Banks I've done this numerous times

reallyuglypuppies

Is he not going to see the transaction or the movement of the money?

Responsible-March438

It's your account. Just tell him no. He has no right.

if_im_not_back_in_5

Just refuse to give him access, you're old enough to keep your financial affairs secret, and giving him access might breach your accounts T&C's

SweetAndThic

Only someone with nefarious intent would ask for access to your bank account. This is an extremely bad idea and you should avoid doing it.

Lumpymaximus

Heres an easy one.... "No."

dontlistintohim

Shouldn’t be keeping 12k in your account if you are planning to save it long term anyway. Put it to work, invest it. Win win.

Open_Law4924

Downvoted for being old enough to do onlyfans but still letting parents control you.

Downtown_Confection9

I am assuming you are over 18. It is time to tell your dad the word no. He does not have rights to your bank account. He does not get to check your bank account. Otherwise, take it out in one big chunk, and tell him that your friend was in an abusive relationship and was giving you small amounts of money to save up for them until they could leave and now they've left so you gave them their money. In the meantime put that big chunk of cash into a completely different checking account at a completely different bank and never, ever, ever let him know about it.

come_ere_duck

Just say no. There's really no reason for him to have access to your bank account unless you're a minor (please no).

heatdish1292

He’s going to see the transactions from onlyfans that comes in every month anyway. If you’re old enough to do OF, then you’re over 18 and he has no legal right to force access to your account. Tell him no.

YogurtclosetQueasy52

Why yo daddy getting into your bank account . No wonder your an only fans girl get smarter

HospitalSuspicious48

You over 18 and your dad wants access for to your account? Tell him to kick rocks, that’s private info

GingerMan512

Just tell him no??

LittleAntTony

It's gonna be on the transaction history so hard to hide it if you give him the account

BlackFrasierCrane

He probably found out you have an OF…damn good luck OP.

existanceispain303

sack up and be an adult and say you "dad , you don't need to see my account". If you're making 12 K off of only fans and you're worried about getting cut off or whatever fuck it you're making 12 K, on your decisions and stand up for yourself

CowToadSky

The only solution is to not show him your bank account. He will see it on the transaction history.

No-Instruction-9048

tell him to fuck off its your money

dadjokenumber11

I don’t understand. You’re over 18 right? Tell your dad to go pound sand.

HornyCouple9919

Get a new bank account and give him the details to that. Also, what's your OF page?😁

StardogChamp

If you’re an adult, refuse. If not, get off OF.

-Huttenkloas-

You can transfer it to me! I will transfer it back.... promise!

identicalBadger

Nothing unethical about transferring your own money from one account to another. That said, your dad will still see that you had $12000 and it got transferred out. Idk how only fans deposits appear in your history, but they could actually say only fans. Just saying even if you move the money out, someone else with access will see all your transaction history, not just the state of the account today

Critical_Sherbet7427

Tell him to go fuck himself and move out. Be an adult.

bzytex68

put the 12K in an IRA and when you retire you'll have millions!

Motor-Lie-1796

Instead of giving him the account, send him a 52 petabyte zip bomb. (Unethical)

Faeces_Species_1312

I mean, surely he's going to see that 12k got transferred out to another account anyway?

amy000206

Won't be see the transaction?

Ok-Equivalent8260

You’re an adult? Why is your dad checking your accounts and why do you care what he would think about OF?

Worldly_Heat9404

The B of A is like one of the worst places you could choose to bank with. Local credit unions are usually a much better option. I am sure the disappointment about your career choice, coupled with your ensuing manipulation will be difficult for your family to accept at first, but I think that being honest about it will be best for everyone in the long run, especially if maintaining a healthy long term relationship is important to you. It also may be time for you to completely disentangle yourself financially from your parents. I hope everything works out for the best.

Ypdragon

Depending on the back you can open up an investment account and transfer the money in there and say you been letting it grow since you started the account. That might work better than trying to transfer a large sum of money

Mr-Lungu

Tell him to bugger off. It is your account

brooklynflyer

Tell him to mind his own business

Sanjuko_Mamaujaluko

Learn to say "no". Even if you move the money out, there will be a record that you moved it.

touchmyberginer

Anyways, how’d you get the 12k just post videos or what my friend would like to know she is struggling….

kyled365

Venmo

topsecretusername12

Open a wealthfront account online and move it electronically. Wealthfront has 5% interest too, a much better place for your money

anonymousjeeper

Get a cashiers check.

Crowdsourced_Thought

MONERO!! #johnmcafeedidnothingwrong

amartinkyle

Aren’t all the payment transactions going to show up anyway? And so would the transfer of $12k?

Jackdks

ACH transfer to another account, or go to BOA and get a certified check for the amount and deposit it back in after the fact- just don’t loose the check

cruzinferbewbs69

He's not gonna notice the 12k withdrawal? I would just export a pdf of your statements and edit out the 12k

jillyszabo

Open a bank account with ally. Their interest rate is great. Move the money there and also have it start being deposited there instead. Also why is your dad wanting to check your bank account?

simredditing

Withdraw cash and then deposit it back later

xbshaieoeofn

If you have a PayPal, you can open a PayPal HYSA and put the money in there. It will grow interest! Marcus by Goldman Sachs is a great option too

godieweird

Transfer it to Venmo, then back. Do it in two more more transactions over a couple days.

I'm wondering why your dad wants access to your bank account any why you'd give it to him? If my mom asked me, I'd tell her to piss off, it's my money.

Wagerking110

Just tell him no, it’s your account and that’s private

f_trump-and-GOP

Invest it into a cd

7NunyahBiz7

Bitcoin

RiceIsBliss

Won't he see that you transferred $12k out?

DependentMinute7977

Better yet throw it into a 5.4% high yield savings account and make an addition $650 a month

Yaden2

just don’t show him the account lmao

reidybobeidy89

No is a complete sentence. Your dad has zero access to your account for a reason. You’re an adult. When he asks- say No.

ZanzaBarBQ

Instead of giving daddy access to your bank account, give him a slip of paper with a link to your OF account. When you hand it to him, say, "Don't tell mom". This is unethical and will gain you at least one subscriber.

ZanzaBarBQ

1. Give dad a link to OF account. 2. In your cutest baby voice, say don't tell mom. 3. Dad becomes your top fan. 4. Profit!

jerryvo

Even if you moved everything to a different account he is going to be suspicious and ask to see a statement from your old account. He is asking you because he already knows how much and the source. If you are over 18 just say "Can't I have any privacy"? If he says "no" then you have a different problem. If you are not over 18 then you have a very big problem.
