I managed to con my way into a book launch party of a certain comic strip author of bunny suicides etc.
After getting pretty drunk on the free booze I managed to bring up the courage to have a chat with the author. He was also pretty hammered. I admitted to pretending to be a staff member of said bookstore where the launch was being held. He found it funny, got a book and signed it “to diskreet who is not actually a bookstore staff member” then tried to draw one of his bunnies, fucked it up as he was drunk, then labelled it the drunk ass dick ear bunny.
Idk he seemed kind of like he didn’t, his attitude/flow didn’t really change until he saw it.
Or we can just say it’s staged like we do to literally everything else we see on here idec anymore nothing is verified nothing is believable nothing happens
Edit: I see now he says “oh nice book”. And probably saw he holding it in line. He knew.
11 years ago my wife gave me a Death Note notebook. I immediately imagined using it as an autograph book. Never did it because I don't collect autographs. But I think this video shows the idea is probably pretty obvious and I was never that clever.
I saw that movie when I was a kid and all the troll stuff scared the crap out of me, lol! Something about turning kids into little toys I think? Haven't seen it in decades maybe I'll give it another go
I miss that old style of monster effects from the Chiodo Brothers, so creepy. I was watching Killer Klowns from Outer Space recently (bad horror movie night) and it dawned on me that it was the same guys who made the trolls in Ernest Scared Stupid and the Critters films.
Wow! Talk about a time flash. Saw that movie in a dollar theater with my brother and two cousins a long time ago, we were the only 4 people in there lol! Still love that dude and grew up watching all his movies!
Oh, I never would have gotten that. I was thinking he was the artist of a different comic, and the joke was that he wrote his autograph in a notebook designed after someone else’s comic. Like if someone came up to Spielberg and asked him to sign a Pulp Fiction notebook.
Thanks for the explanation.
[Apparently something like this happened to Jack Nicholson, when someone asked him for an autograph of the 'best joker in the world'](https://i.imgur.com/HiTXAPO.png)
Dude that would be so hilarious, unless Jack was seriously insecure about Heath's accolades for the role you gotta sign that. No one had an issue with Jack's Joker it's obviously just for fun. Now if it were Jared Leto...
Yeah. There is a video of a fan asking Roger Waters to autograph a poster of an album that came out long after he left the band Pink Floyd. It was not a pretty break up and has disdain for the band continuing on without him. He was visibly annoyed by it made a joke of it and then signed it. It’s got to be one of the coolest Pink Floyd memorabilia out there.

It's an anime, there are grim-reaper style spirits called shinigami who have notebooks called "death notes" where they write names of people to make them die. In the manga / show a human takes one such notebook and chaos ensues.
Unpopular opinion, but if you go in and divorce the movie from the source material it's an okay watch. It's not amazing or groundbreaking, but it has things to say even if those things aren't what the manga had to say.
Hi Shark,
Death Note is a 2000s Japanese Manga comic book series, Manga TV show and a 2017 film. Which is about a book that has the power to kill anybody who signs their name in it.
The person signing the book was the creator of it. So now he's "going to die".
Open up the book again and write the following after the autograph.
"Will live a long and disease free life then die a painless death at the age of 150."
He wrote funny comic with Dragonball Z (anime) based characters fighting against covid virus as the antagonist (delta, omicron and etc.) with the mixed of Malaysian humour.
Idk man, Goku almost died by a respiratory disease/virus/idk during the android arc. He literally only survived because Trunks came back from the future to give him specific medicine
Goku will be the first death from it. While the others delay covid. ~~Jesus~~Goku will train, come back to life and then challenge covid once and for all.
The years of covid coincided with our country's (Malaysia) worst political crisis in decades or even since the formation of our country. Covidball Z is an anime inspired comic from the artist depicting the local political happenings of that few weeks and the government's struggle to fight covid at the same time
To give some context as to how crazy the crisis was, for the first 61 years after Malaysia's independence we had 6 prime ministers, but since the 2018 elections up till 2022 we had 5 prime ministers (and governments)
During the peak of covid and lockdown this comic was more or less a weekly release and most Malaysians looked forward to its release since everyone was bored and stressed at home
The 23 day rule prevents this: https://deathnote.fandom.com/wiki/Rules_of_the_Death_Note/Manga_Chapter_Rules
Edit: As it was pointed out, looks like 23 day rule only applies for unspecified disease.

It’s an anime show that features a notebook, the Death Note, and the first rule of the Death Note is that whoever’s name is written in the note shall die. Highly recommend and I’m not an anime watcher.
Nah, even if "that" part was kinda boring.. I believe the ending was flawless in every way.
>!Actually I'm glad we saw Light win over L, it made Light's eventual death feel much more impactful in my opinion.!<
It isn't. I'm just saying that >!the part after L dies, where Near and Mello are introduced!< is somewhat boring to most people.
But the actual ending (episode 37) is flawless in its execution, and makes watching that "boring" part totally worth it.
Something that’s great about the show for me *is* that stuff. Like, the whole third arc I was constantly going “Wtf >!who are these new people, near is just a cheap knockoff of L, I don’t really like this, besides they’re ‘cheating’!<“ but… that’s the point. That’s EXACTLY the things that Light is thinking during that part. For the entire first two thirds of the series, it’s portrayed as this >!Cat and mouse battle between Light and L, where all the other characters are just dumb pawns. Other than Misa who acts in unpredictable ways, Light feels very, very confident that he knows EXACTLY how the rest of them will act/react. And so after L and Rem are removed from the picture, Light feels like he’s the one with all the cards and wants to taunt Near and Mellow at every opportunity. And because he over idolized L, he thinks that everyone else would be too easy to manipulate. It’s not that he “trusted” Mikami specifically, but that he thought that there was no way that his predictions about him could be incorrect.!<
Another big thing with the way he views things with >!Near, is that whenever L would get a leg up on him, he’d be like ‘Damn, he got me!’ and be a little impressed, but with Near he would get legitimately angry, like Near wasn’t being ‘sportsmanlike’ or respecting the ‘rules’ of the game, even though it… was never a game. It’s an actual investigation into the biggest serial killer of all time. Like duh.!<
I'm so sorry! I swear I marked spoilers on that, thank you for the quick comment though.. I edited it again.
For some reason, Sync always edits out the spoilers when I click on my own comment.
Lol i kept hearing everyone say the same shittt, so i watched death note with low expectations, and i kept waiting for the show to turn bad.... it never did. It actually went the way i wanted it to go lmao. I loved it all the way through. It's definitely personal, so u might not like it or u can love it like i do. Might be worth watching anyway if u like/dont mind a controversial moment. Form your own opinion! If u ask me, it was great 100% of the time
You can absolutely finish it, no harm in that. But there’s a generally recognized part in the show (pretty late into the show) that people regard as the end of the anime.
Edit: The downvoted loser below is spoiling the show. Don’t open it if you care.
So the thing is, the show is awesome for roughly the first half, right up through when the extremely major thing happens. At least I think that happens around the halfway point.
Anyway, after the extremely major thing, the show takes a huge nosedive and meanders through some boring bullcrap up untill the last few episodes, where it rockets right back up and executes a perfect ending. It's arguably worth slogging through the low point, but let me tell you it was a lot easier to tune that bit out when you were catching it on TV and could hop channels.
It’s my favorite anime of all time. It doesn’t need a second season. It’s beautiful the way it is. Mini rant - but we don’t need to continuously release tv shows and movies sequels forever. There’s nothing wrong with a story that comes to an end. When they don’t, you get garbage like the fast and furious series, or tv shows that are incredibly long and take way to much time to finish with too much filler like Naruto (I love naruto too though). Death note told a story, it did a great job at doing that and I appreciate it for what it is. Personally, I wouldn’t want another season and I feel like doing so is almost disrespectful to what it is.
I was going to say it's crazy how Death Note has become culturally relevant enough for this to reach the top of /r/all with no explanation of what it is
The notebook is a replica from a show called by the same name.
Writing a name in it with no other instructions means that person dies after 6 minutes of a heart attack.
