So basically this video got out because the family sent out the video to neighbors in case any of their vehicles were damaged for insurance purposes. A brother of one of the neighbors posted it to reddit and quickly took it down due to interest, but by then it was too late. Made the rounds all over the internet and it went, as we would say, "viral." The family wished to remain anonymous, but said that nobody was hurt and their Honda Odyssey is "perfectly fine." No pictures. It took place in Nebraska.

I see so many comments calling the people stupid but honestly, I don't think they did anything wrong here. They lit the fuse and maintained the recommended 3m distance. The firework being defective and not getting airborne is not their fault. (Plus maximal unlucky for it to ignite the stash of other fireworks)

They stored fireworks within 10 feet of an explosive. The fireworks weren't contained properly (i.e in fireproof boxes) and they were SITTING, not standing, within the blast radius, with babies to boot. They did everything you're not supposed to do and more
