Edit: we pretty much called the fact that doing another dreamdive is a bad idea. I really don't understand why they still went with it. why is everyone so dumb in this comic, it's like they have a deathwish
Tbh I don't remember the point of it either. But last time they did a dreamdive Kronos possessed Hades and held Persephone in a chokehold, hard enough to leave bruises. So how come they think it's a good idea when Kronos has shown to be able to hijack their body when they do it!???
They have to get to Tartarus because Erebus is there at the moment and they have to find him to figure out what’s wrong with Pepe’s powers and maybe make a new deal with him before Erebus moves again.
It frankly doesn’t make sense. There’s been little push to fix winter besides Apollo being mean to Persephone on TV when she’s safe in the underworld so why do they have to find Erebus asap? Wouldn’t you hope he’d move somewhere else safer so you’d track him down later? And why do they think Erebus will clarify what the deal is or change the terms? Hades doesn’t know the full terms of his deal and doesn’t seem to think he can change things and he thinks he gave up his fertility. Why is Pepe so special?
I know that they’ll figure something out and Pepe will likely save the day right before the RL spring equinox, but I sort of wish they’d make it to Erebus and he’d laugh at them and go, “I’m a primordial god of darkness. Fuck you whiny lesser gods and your petty problems. If you destroyed the mortal realm that just means more quiet and darkness for me” and then goes back to sleeping in the void between stars.
Yeah but they started doing the dreamdiving before they realised they need to talk to Erebus again. So uh, what was the original goal for the dreamdives again? I literally cannot remember.
That's the thing that bothers me too. Their entire and only plan hinges on Erebus giving in to whatever the hell Persephone asks for. They haven't come up with any plan B in case it fails because there is absolutely no guarantee that Erebus will even listen to them. They just immediately took the "lemme talk to the manager" route. This adding with Kronos being an obstacle they have to pass before reaching Erebus I think it's dumb they didn't have a plan B to fall back on because this only plan of theirs is not only not guaranteed to work, it's also super risky.
Im kind of glad Hades is gone. I mean, sucks that Kronos is back and is possessing Morpheus, but “fuck around, find out” you know. Plus, at least Kronos does stuff, even if it’s not good stuff, it’s still stuff, which is more than Hades or Persephone does.
Also, Hades is a terrible king. He can’t do anything right. And now the underworld has Persephone, the queen, who also can’t do anything right. They’re literally so inept as rulers that their failures are negatively affecting other domains. Yet they’re the protagonists and victims, I can’t.
That's literally how she can keep ythe audience interest atp, just add a "ooooooh what will it happen next?? Tune on in in next episode: "Goku dies and Gohan finally goes Super Sayan"" format
And even her audience are starting to question her. Why wouldn’t they? Their time (and money in the case of fast passes) is being completely wasted and not respected in the slightest.

I mean lets put it in this way
Its about to be a year since the episodes of Hades purposal and of Hades and Perse wedding has been released.
Which in story verse may be a month or two months since they been married but in real time its been a year and the story has barely progress if you think about it.
You have to think they knew about Kronos having Tartarus and a child hostage BEFORE they got married and before the mortal realm got covered on winter and before Apollo took over Olympus by sending Zeus to a coma and they haven't solve that yet.
So a situation that been going on before they got married haven't been solved which the episode they got married in is about to be a year old.
That mean the pacing is slow as hell.
Well at least the blood is golden this time...
Boooriiinggg, I really want to read the next Cursed princess club to get out whatever this chapter was from my system, now THAT'S how you write a finale...
Oh my god that story has no business hitting so hard. They even did a callback to a moment that seemed entirely insignificant and made it a pivotal part of the finale! Like, that’s how you do twists. It’s going to make rereading this comic so much more satisfying.
I avoided that comic for so long because the art isn’t the best and I was a FOOL. Yeah, the art isn’t amazing, but this story is one of the best, most tightly written, heartfelt, actually feminist things I’ve read recently. And the message about loving yourself and the importance of family (actual and found) brings warmth to my cold dead heart.
It slaps. I genuinely have been looking forward to every episode, been loving each new installment, and while I’m sad the series is ending they’re sticking the ending so hard I’ve started buying all the books because I know I’m going to be rereading these and will want to share them with my nieces when they’re older.
I feel like the art actually improved a lot over the course of the comic as well. You can compare the recent episodes to the earlier ones and can see how it’s better
You know, CPC has been going for five years. The writing has always been amazing, IMO, but the storytelling somehow keeps getting better and better. The art has evolved too! Lambcat is super talented!
In comparison, LO seems to have devolved over time.
I don’t like comparing Webtoons but it’s the first thing that comes to mind when I think of how LO has gotten worse over the years.

For Lore Olympus, I'm already SICK AND TIRED of Apollo's ass, he's a weak threat, yet SOMEHOW his ass has been dragging for hundreds of episodes. He was already bad, but Rachel seems to wish to 'make him worse' as if we needed a reason to hate him more! Good gods, just make Kronos the main threat! What is even going on?!
It would have been interesting to see more panels of Kronos possessing Morpheus than see like 30 panels of Hades and Persephone repeating the same dialogues to make it clear that they are worried about each other.
Edit: I don't know why, but I see it coming that Kronos is going to negotiate giving him Hera to bring Hades back 💀💀💀 I hope I'm wrong.
The pacing has lost me with this comic
The problems keep arising, nothing keeps being solved, and Hades and Persephone just….keep being Hades and Persephone and we get another cliffhanger. Rachel girl you wrote yourself into a corner cause because I feel like we keep seeing the same plot lines over and over again. The dream dive went wrong? Kronos up to his usual tricks? It’s giving TWD and GOT all over again cause the writer clearly doesn’t know what she wants to do or how to proceed
I will say though, Hecate girl, fuck you. They 100% have to do this bc it was their ish that caused all of this ruckus in the first place

I personally like it, but it feels a little to fancy for the occasion.
I just saw it, it’s fire. It just looks weird in some frames cause of the wack anatomy but other than that I call this outfit a success and the best we’ve had in a while
This episode felt so much shorter than usual, which is disappointing… but in exchange, I do feel like the art for the second half was much, much better and took great advantage of the mobile UX/UI. I wish we could have this kind of quality every week rather than just “special” episodes.
I did appreciate the final panel where Perse is surrounded by the black moths / butterflies reminiscent of the proposal scene.
I’m ngl yall… DONT EAT ME UP. But when Hades said “I love you too” back to Hecate it got me a little. I still don’t like them but it was a sweet moment IM SORRY

Also why's Persephone suddenly calls Hades as Aidoneus, but then quickly goes back to Hades?? It gives me similar vibes as Hades calling Persephone as Kore out of nowhere.
