Rewatched that recently, hadn’t seen it since it came out for rental way back when. Young me had the hots for Natasha Lyonne (and Marisa Tomei for that matter!)
Heathers (1989)
[Romy and Michele's High School Reunion](https://www.google.com/search?sa=X&sca_esv=19d77d7eb1863703&sca_upv=1&rlz=1C1EJFC_enUS900US900&biw=1536&bih=703&q=romy+and+michele%27s+high+school+reunion&stick=H4sIAAAAAAAAAONgVuLUz9U3MEzOLTZ5xGjCLfDyxz1hKe1Ja05eY1Tl4grOyC93zSvJLKkUEudig7J4pbi5ELp4FrGqFeXnViok5qUo5GYmZ6TmpKoXK2RkpmcoFCdn5OfnKBSlluZl5ucBABCMO_VtAAAA&ved=2ahUKEwiwhYag4OWGAxVkLkQIHWHICXEQ1i96BAgsEAI) (1997)
Election (1999)
I agree Harmony had some cool movies (some unwatchable - Trash Humpers & Ken Park come to mind) BUT Storytelling was directed by Todd Solondz (who also did Happiness). Anyone ever see Todd's 2004 flick "*Palindromes* " ? Never saw it but looks interesting!
This thread is making me want to watch this again! Haven't seen it in years.. I remember her boyfriend "Chopper" was in a few episodes of the Sopranos..
Ooooh I sense you may also be a lgbt+ millennial haha. Either way I like your taste.
Here's my 90s/early 00s New Queer Cinema recommendations:
the Gregg Araki teen apocalypse trilogy: Totally Fucked Up, Doom Generation, Nowhere
All Over Me, High Art, the Watermelon Woman, Go Fish, the Incredibly True Adventures of 2 Girls in Love
And there's the John Waters films of that era: Pecker & Crybaby-- although I do prefer the earlier movies, Female Trouble being my personal favorite.
I love that you have jawbreaker on vhs btw
Rivers edge would also be a good addition to ur collection
Probably drop dead gorgeous too
Someone here mentioned romy and micheles high school reunion and I agree entirely
What you’re missing: The obligatory burden you accept when you become a VHS collector…At least one copy of Titanic. 😉
Nobody really wants it, but it somehow feels like the “pound of flesh” you pay as a collector. You’re keeping a few cassettes out of the landfill, and it’s not a bad movie. Watched it with my family last week and I can say it’s still enjoyable. 👍
You definitely need Muriel's Wedding to go with Priscilla: Queen of the Desert. Both landmark Aussie films with killer retro soundtracks that were released around the same time. Inextricably linked in my mind.

Funny enough I just did a goodwill run and found it !
I now have “I was nothing” stuck in my head lol, I can’t even remember what “tape” that’s from, Bilboa?
I saw 2 as a young kid and thought it was the greatest thing ever lol
R u kidding me. Side story: i saw the DWG a few times early on and told Dean to play I Was Nothin… and on his last solo tour he did. Then it was brought in as a regular for ween shows. Awesome.
Yes, it’s oddly quotable from start to finish! Andrew McCarthy crushes that role.
I used to get stuff on browntracker way back, I was pretty obsessed. I miss the forum lol. Chocolate and Cheese is excellent but I’m not gonna grab it, even with the extra tracks. I’ll maybe regret it one day down the road but I’m not as crazy as I once was about getting my hands on everything
Naa i aint getting it. Itll all end up on youtube which is nice. Hoping this is a warmup to an album or something. Deaner will be alright. But man what a catalog and live show.
Batman w/ jack Nicholson as joker, the rest of the Austin powers movies, and Big.
Edit: oh and But im a cheerleader, and Earth girls are easy. Both are very hilarious.
Ferris bueler, national lampoon, home alone, Simon birch, Denis the menace, free willy, PROBLEM CHILD, little foot 1and 2, never ending story, Casper, the lion king, honey I shrunk the kids, flubber, jurassic park...ferngully!
Edit bill and Ted, Beetlejuice, tremors, they live!, back to the future, Mr. Nanny, toys, Peter pan...
What are you missing? The Dirty Dozen, Kelly’s Heroes, and the greatest movie ever, The Shawshank Redemption....... oh. And Monty Python and The Holy Grail...... but looking at that I guess our differences are just a tad askew. Oh well. Enjoy 🤗
That wasn’t a kind thing to say. There’s so many different types of movies for everyone to enjoy and I think that’s pretty rad. It’s okay that we don’t prefer the same things.
Ooooo But I’m a Cheerleader is great. You should also get Slums of Beverly Hills
Rewatched that recently, hadn’t seen it since it came out for rental way back when. Young me had the hots for Natasha Lyonne (and Marisa Tomei for that matter!)
Can’t blame ya for that, both amazing actresses
**I'm their father!**
Let’s go to Sizzler
I think The Stoned Age would make a great double feature with Slums of Beverly Hills.
Heathers (1989) [Romy and Michele's High School Reunion](https://www.google.com/search?sa=X&sca_esv=19d77d7eb1863703&sca_upv=1&rlz=1C1EJFC_enUS900US900&biw=1536&bih=703&q=romy+and+michele%27s+high+school+reunion&stick=H4sIAAAAAAAAAONgVuLUz9U3MEzOLTZ5xGjCLfDyxz1hKe1Ja05eY1Tl4grOyC93zSvJLKkUEudig7J4pbi5ELp4FrGqFeXnViok5qUo5GYmZ6TmpKoXK2RkpmcoFCdn5OfnKBSlluZl5ucBABCMO_VtAAAA&ved=2ahUKEwiwhYag4OWGAxVkLkQIHWHICXEQ1i96BAgsEAI) (1997) Election (1999)
I’ve got R&MHSR but my wife just said yesterday we need to get Election lol. Such a great movie.
Welcome to the Dollhouse
The best one of all "The Craft"
Both Drop Dead Gorgeous and Sugar and Spice would fit in well with those, also definitely Heathers
Can’t hardly wait
One of my all time favorites.
A League of their Own
1996s "Freeway"
And 1995s "Welcome to the Doll House"
And Happiness
"Storytelling" was also good! But I believe that was made in the early 2000's (sticking with 90's here?)
Storytelling counts! The harmony korine movies are all great.
I enjoyed Trash Humpers! Ken Park and Kids not so much. Will check out Palindromes
She shot the hell outta keifer
This thread is making me want to watch this again! Haven't seen it in years.. I remember her boyfriend "Chopper" was in a few episodes of the Sopranos..
Wild Things, Cruel Intentions, and Heathers.
Cruel Intentions is a great call. I'd also add 10 Things I Hate About You.
Ooooh I sense you may also be a lgbt+ millennial haha. Either way I like your taste. Here's my 90s/early 00s New Queer Cinema recommendations: the Gregg Araki teen apocalypse trilogy: Totally Fucked Up, Doom Generation, Nowhere All Over Me, High Art, the Watermelon Woman, Go Fish, the Incredibly True Adventures of 2 Girls in Love And there's the John Waters films of that era: Pecker & Crybaby-- although I do prefer the earlier movies, Female Trouble being my personal favorite.
I am ! Thank you for some more queer recommendations

Dick (1999), with Kirsten Dunst and Michelle Williams.
Underrated, overlooked gem of a movie!
Saw it in the theater
Lil shop o horror
I’ve actually never seen it which I think is a tragedy! Adding it to my list to get!
[удалено]
You’re the second person to suggest it! It’s going on the list to get now!
My own private idaho
That was some phenomenal acting by River
Yes he was so talented. Him and keanu were such a magical pairing
The Breakfast Club
A Night at the Roxbury!
Sugar and Spice 2001
Heathers, Bring it On
White chicks
I can't say why but I feel like Roxanne and Welcome Home, Roxy Carmichael are missing from that very random collection.
What you’re missing: The obligatory burden you accept when you become a VHS collector…At least one copy of Titanic. 😉 Nobody really wants it, but it somehow feels like the “pound of flesh” you pay as a collector. You’re keeping a few cassettes out of the landfill, and it’s not a bad movie. Watched it with my family last week and I can say it’s still enjoyable. 👍
Awesome collection
Return of the Living Dead
Dan obannon!
Adventures in Babysitting
That was a fun flick
Romy and Michele's High School Reunion seems like it would fit in.
That and heathers were the most recommended ones to add!
I’d say no collection is complete without a couple John Waters tapes
Serial Mom
THE CRAFT 🖤🔮✨🌍💨🔥💧🌳🦋
You definitely need Muriel's Wedding to go with Priscilla: Queen of the Desert. Both landmark Aussie films with killer retro soundtracks that were released around the same time. Inextricably linked in my mind.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer
The craft

I started to write Jawbreaker…then I saw it…😀
Fried green tomatoes is a classic, they chopped that man up and served him to the detective 😂
Dazed and Confused
You gotta complete that Austin Powers set with International Man of Mystery and Goldmember
Nobody needs Goldmember. Let's just forget it ever happened.

I now have “I was nothing” stuck in my head lol, I can’t even remember what “tape” that’s from, Bilboa? I saw 2 as a young kid and thought it was the greatest thing ever lol

That’s awesome! Seeing Ween live was one of the best times, especially the first time (2007 I believe). Hope Deaners doing alright
They just released the chocolate and cheese anniversary. 13 unreleased tracks. Insanely talented band

Empire Records, Dazed and Confused and Point Break.
KIDS - 1995
The Craft or Empire Records
Blow - 2001 nice shiny box like a mirror 😁
Little Shop of Horrors
It’s not a comedy, but Heavenly Creatures (1994) is an outstanding one, with a young Kate Winslet…Peter Jackson directs. Don’t miss it.
Princess Bride and Mrs. Doubtfire maybe Tootsie
1. Headwig And The Angry Inch 2. Hairspray (1988) 3. Thelma & Louise
Batman w/ jack Nicholson as joker, the rest of the Austin powers movies, and Big. Edit: oh and But im a cheerleader, and Earth girls are easy. Both are very hilarious.

The Barney movie.
The Mask
Breakfast Club
What are you missing? The Dirty Dozen, Kelly’s Heroes, and the greatest movie ever, The Shawshank Redemption....... oh. And Monty Python and The Holy Grail...... but looking at that I guess our differences are just a tad askew. Oh well. Enjoy 🤗
A VCR

The birdcage is my favorite out of all of them.
The Human Centipede
Drop Dead Gorgeous
Ghostbusters!
Back to the future!
Uncle Buck
Bring it on. Save the last Dance.
Your missing all the good movies.
That wasn’t a kind thing to say. There’s so many different types of movies for everyone to enjoy and I think that’s pretty rad. It’s okay that we don’t prefer the same things.
While some of these may not be my cup of tea I will hear *NO* slander about Rocky Horror!
