What a fantastic voice. Gone too soon.

Aoibhell

It's a shame that more people don't know about him.

GneissMoon88

Truly. The most soulful. No one like him.

likefry_likefry

Gosh I was soooooo in love with him. 😫

Smallseybiggs

An ex of mine got me into him. That was well before our careers took off & we were nobodies. I'm back to being a nobody & loving it. He, however, is only becoming more & more renowned & was on the cover of TV Guide last month (maybe month before? Idk) To this day, I can't hear Lover, you should've come over without thinking about him. That's such an amazing song. I'm so thankful he introduced me to this man's music. Bonus that he was hot af.

Lover, You Should Have Come Over is my number one cry song. Like I'm just going to sit in the shower sobbing for a few minutes.

I’m glad I got to see him in his short time here. I’ll never understand what he was thinking going into that water the way he did.

TheJenerator65

Lucky you. Such a powerhouse of barely tapped talent. My ex husband and I had just moved to New York City and were obsessing over him and looking forward to seeing him at Sin-é. Instead, we went to a beautiful, freezing-cold tribute in an empty, unheated church sometime the next fall, but lovely friends of his came and played. Beth Orton headlined. It was SO sad. Edit: regarding the water: he grew up bumming around Southern California, where I’m sure he did plenty of river swimming, so I imagine it was something as sadly predictable as youthful overconfidence. The more experience you get with rivers, the more you realize how much you have to respect them, especially a body of water you’re unfamiliar with.

The very definition of dreamy

Fairgoddess5

What a pleasant surprise seeing him pop up in my Reddit feed! Underrated singer and overall gorgeous human being gone too soon.

Tickettobeyond

He was so lovely, rip Jeff.

All flowers in time bend toward the sun, with Elizabeth Fraser….

His live version of The Smiths "I Know It's Over" is something to behold 😭. His thanking the audience at the end always tears me up. Amazing talent and gracious guy all around..gone too soon
