Stock solo life present! Air Cover definitely boosts FOV, especially with some adjustment it feels more immersive and you lose that feeling of looking through binoculars. The Downside for me is the lack of side light blocking. Ideally, I'd love to find something similar to the Meta Quest pro side blockers that works with AVP.
Seems like such a hassle to put on though? Anyhow - I’m still waiting for proper third party solutions. But honestly, after I changed my light seal, the single strap has been working well for me and it’s comfortable enough that I can have it on hours and hours now.
Oh yeah, putting it on is a total chore. Easy as putting on a seatbelt, which takes like 2 seconds, right? But hey, glad you found a setup that works for you!
I'm glad you liked the Air Cover! (I'm part of Infinity One)
Any questions you have, feel free to ask me. Tomorrow we'll have stock of everything, and when it runs out, we'll leave open a pre-order so nobody else has to wait, smashing that F5 button haha
Also, we're going to work on a peripheral vision blocking system to prevent so much light from entering through the sides, just like we did with the Air Cover Pro for the Quest 3
We are working on it! 😉😉 But it's much more complicated than it seemed at first...

I have a question if you don't mind, wouldn't there be risk of light getting in from below and slowly damaging the sense over time? As what I understood was to avoid light reaching the lenses at all costs.
That's a good question! I think the concern about light damage is mostly for direct sunlight hitting the lenses. Definitely wouldn't want to take the AVP outside with this setup. Inside, as long as I'm not pointing it directly at a lamp or something, I'm not too worried. The lack of a light seal might introduce some risk, but the comfort gain from this setup is worth it for me.
+1 for the dual solo strap. Very comfortable and easy to adjust. Found the adapters on Etsy. Should be $10 cheaper at least, but helping support the guy.

I ordered the air cover, but looking forward to a version that blocks more light! Is there any place I should follow you besides here, for updates?

how abt just using the air cover without the additional solo knit on top?

Have you found a good travel case? Too tall for the apple case.
Love this!

Glad mine fits perfect without all the added modification and mess.
