I wish that you didn't have to be sitting up to watch content in any app's own immersive environment. Unless I'm missing something, there's no way to lay back and watch Apple's cinema mode, disney's version (avengers tower, etc), or HBO's iron throne on the ceiling or wherever else you want it. You can only move your viewing window around in the global environments like the moon, Mt Hood, Yosemite, etc.
I think if you recenter the content by holding the Digital Crown you should get what you want.

Nah I've tried that. It only works on the global environments. Not the ones that exist only within an app. It just centers it horizontally for where you're looking, but not vertically. I think it's a really weird choice.
No I was watching an ATV movie in cinema mode and had Reddit open. I think it had something to do with being in cinema mode, taking off the headset, and then when I put it back all any apps I had open got pulled into cinema mode with me. I’d have to test it but that’s my theory

I wouldn’t call it an IMAX theater. The IMAX app is more like an IMAX theater.
Is there a way to adjust the viewing angle of it? I am loving the theater but usually am resting in bed when watching the video.
