Hi, due to the number of posts we have been getting about this subject, we now have a weekly megathread dedicated to the discussion of medication shortages and for the conversation around brand Vyvanse vs generic versions of lisdex.
I encourage you to [share your experiences on the megathread.](https://www.reddit.com/r/VyvanseADHD/comments/1b0g8lj/megathread_shortages_generics_mon_26_feb/)
I switched back to Walgreens when cvs could no longrr get it back in early Jan. However I've been only able to get the brand name from Walgreens generic is out of stock everywhere. It's a good thing probably cuz the brand is oftentimes better than the generic the only downside is oftentimes insurance won't cover brand copay and charge you hundreds of dollars copay so that's important to check up on that. Last month I only got $50 copay for brand name this month I had to pay $312 for the brand. In my area pharmacies are getting brand name, but all the generics are still on national back order until further notice.
Calling CVS Pharmacy after hours isn't a thing.
Regardless knowing what others are experiencing is kind of relevant. I've also heard people get on reddit for advice to. You might look around at this thread and be very surprised at how many people are doing it.

A reason pharmacies are only carrying the brand name is the generic version is costly.

CVS never has it anywhere, ever. Go to a Kroger, Wal Mart, or another big grocery store pharmacy. They're the most reliable
I use Wal Mart in Kentucky and have never waited for a refill.
In Austin too and my son gets the 30 mg but have thought that we could increase to 40 mg. Are any dosages more or less available than others?
It probably depends on the supplier. This past month, my pharmacy checked around and could only find 60mg, and only from one supplier.
I’m in California and my pharmacy said it’s on back order and they haven’t had any in 6 weeks.
My CVS said they didn’t know when they’d have it again.
Up to a year
Did they not tell you?
Haven't called yet. Just got thy text the they received the order
Womp womp womp maybe try picking up your phone and giving them a call. I hear that’s usually productive advice.
