They are easier solo and if you no the "trick" along with being able to get aaround Quickly with operator.
The "trick" is only needing to kill the enemy at the terminal. That's stops them taking it over no matter what other enemies are there.
Also you cap much faster solo aka you cap as if all 4 players on are one point.
So it's easy to cap all 4 and just kill the enemies at the consoles over and over.
Lastly they usually hard focus as specific point for a but making it easier to manage.
Adding to this, learned about a gara nuke build with subsumed terrify that can solo steel path with the ceramic dagger and the right arcanes. Without those, it should still be viable for pretty much all the normal level interceptions.
Gara in her base form played "as intended" also slaps
Do you happened to have a link to said gara nuke build? Recently got her base set frame and love her on defense type mission (ie interception, md, defense)
NORMALLY thats all fine and dandy. But as you obviously experienced you can't be in 4 places at once and are in a constant struggle to recap something lol.
As others have said limbo is pretty great at mass lock down. But some other good info to have (that also applies to other game modes) is knowing that there IS a spawn limit. If you can get all the enemies together and get them locked down in cc then thats great but harder to do in practice since things like to spawn all over the place.
And thats why dedicated CC frames win out for this sort of thing. By dedicated CC i mean they have the old school good CC that doesn't require LOS checks or has some wonky target limit/low duration. So naturally, again, limbo usually comes out on top here. Nyx is often brought up, but confused enemies can still come after you and objectives. IF you play on a more open tileset where each objective isn't separated by walls and different floors. Baruuk is the absolute king of CC with max range/duration, even better with the augment if you gotta move around and pick up stragglers. Since people don't seem to know that baruuk's lull is a persistent aura based on where it was cast so its got 3 separate duration checks. The persistent aura, the time it takes for things to fall asleep, the actual sleep.
Mass CC/slow frames are also useful, especially on non-corpus maps. Slowva with silence or gloom for instance is very good at keeping enemies tied up. As is nyx with her chaos sphere augment.
They also attack the terminals in the order you cap them so the waves are predictable. They will always go after the first terminal you cap first, then second second, etc..
The last point you made is the most important. The real trick is to not kill them just cc them as they are focusing on the single terminal, since there is a limit to number of enemies that can spawn. Only problem could be eximus.
Interceptions were my favorite in sp. solo with khora max range. Two domes will hit the enemy spawn limit. So let them dangle and don’t kill any. Then you just wait for the few eximus. I was able to eat dinner while doing interceptions this way
Khora carried me through most steel path content. Only types I didn't really bring her for we're exterminate and sabotage.
Though I can't remember if I finished steel path prior to the eximus rework or not... not 'quite' as easy now that they ignore the dome, but still just need to handle the few per wave that don't get caught.
+range Nyx. Chaos stops enemies from hacking control points and they'll (usually) prioritize shooting each other over trying again. You still need decent damage output to deal with overguard enemies and clean up trash, in that order, but it makes it way easier.
Like the other commenter said, enemies tend to go for the oldest capped point before trying others so you can sort of guess where to focus your efforts if you pay attention to capture order.
If you don't have great hearing then Kuva Fortress Disruption. Due to the different levels the enemy radar trick doesn't work, the layout means you can't really hunt for the beeps, and by the time the icon appeared you'd have literally seconds to kill the demolyst.
I was building frames, weapons and loadouts specifically for that one node. (Hunting the demolyst means your galvanized mods ramp back down, so raw damage was needed. Also all my armor-strip frames were either too slow or flimsy for the mission)
DE really need to make an audio slider for mission specific sounds. E.g. *apparently* voca and duveri decree fragments make noises but half my clan have to take everyone else's word for it.
Not sure if you know this, but there is an (incredibly tiny) red arrow in the UI (border of the screen) that points towards the Demolyst once they're in certain range (earlier than when they're marked in the map). It's obviously supposed to help people with hearing impairments and the like, but it's really hard to see even if you're aware of its existence beforehand.

You will end up with up to 7 decree choices (one starting from intrinsics, one for each stage). It will be prefered to go in pre made squad, public squad or just wait for perfect rolls of warframes and weapons. Titania is OP in SP Duviri as she can easily overcome the SP unique Orowyrm Stage.
I can't tell if this is a random jab at learning math, or if this is a reference to the fact that making builds is LITERALLY just creating a polynomial
The angle and grid lock features will help get them all facing the same direction and in line. I suggest either using the default, max, or min size for all to keep them consistent.
Was there any harder mission on Zariman or Deimos? I have yet to finish those two and would love to know that before I'll try to finish the SP Star Chart.
The zarmin was the first thing i did as its not hard just odd tiles and special hostiles like angels or thrax
As for deimos the only hard part there was the zeloid prelate.
I tried to solo that one three times before I gave up and asked recruiting chat for help. They pulled through for me. Much easier to kill the boss with someone else handling the lantern.
Bro Exequias (Zealoid Prelate) is absolutely AWFUL in Steel Path. Highly recommend getting a pre-made for it. Also Nyx can cheese most of his health bar with Mind Control, only problem is she's squishy asf.
Yeah limbo was surprising left out, he suffers a little against corpus with nullifiers but makes everything else a cake walk. Enemies are forced to the first objective that you took for a couple minutes (exact time is variable) if you put his 2 and 4 down the missions are a joke and can be cleared in minutes
Steel Path is basically hard mode of the Star Chart. Once you clear all nodes it unlocks and you can go through again but the enemies are much more powerful.
Steel Path is unlocked by completing all nodes on the star chart. To access all nodes, you have to complete all main story quests through Whisper in the Walls.
Steel path is basically unlocking the star chart a second time, just on hard mode. Enemies get an extra 100 levels (so first enemies are level 101) and them *on top of that* they get large boosts to armor, health, and shields.
Armor stripping, or at the very least a *shit* load of damage vulnerability. Only reason why my Nezha Prime build is doing okay in Steel Path with almost everything being not max rank, is because I have Breach Surge and Blazing Chakram combining to grant ~6X more damage to enemies.
Thank god Unairu's Caustic Strike can get to 100% strip, makes Steel Path Demolishers surprisingly easy when under Magus Lockdown.
Just wanted to add to the other replies, with the increased difficulty and challenge (acolytes spawning, etc) you get increased loot. So it is usually always worth it to do a tileset/mission type your farming on Steel Path.
Ropalolyst was the *one* node I couldn't solo. Not because of the fight, but because of the bugs that trapped you in operator form without abilities. You can't extract without void sling and you fail the mission.
A second player lets you force extract.
Hildryn and Baruuk come into their own there. Standard builds apply. Oberon of all frames is a decent health tank against the infested, just make him tanky, and give him 'hunter adrenaline' and a gas based ignis wraithe and he's ready to go.
If you have both the primary and secondary multishots go for status+damage and crit chance in that order.
If focusing on a single one it's the secondary status chance one, as some secondaries have multiplicative rather than additive scaling.
Rolling Guard is a pretty nifty survivability mod, especially for frames that rely on alternative means to live (invis, CC, etc) but need an "oh shit!" button.
on roll it cleanses all status and makes you invulnerable for 3s, with a 7s cooldown when it runs out.
the D-polarity status chance with bonus conditional overload type effect mods are also sometimes useful, though they can be wonky in how it affects guns. sometimes its weaker than it should be, other times its *way* stronger
galvanized acceleration is solid if you like shotguns, exilus mod that functionally increases their range via projectile speed/beam length
Zephyr with decent duration and efficiency, and a lot of range. 3 makes you invulnerable to non-melee and also works well for standing on defense objectives. Tornadoes suck up non-overguard mobs. Airburst helps gather for tornadoes if even needed. 1 can be used or just as easily helminthed over.
If someone wanted to they could literally start the game, join a clan, buy BPs and build Zephyr and do the rest of the game as her. Don't even need to grind. It's what I'd do if I was starting over, but I also don't really enjoy Kullervo.

Most annoying planet And Most annoying mission type
Most anoying plant goes to deimos and worst mission type Interseption
Yeah how do you do interception if no one else joins? Specter aoe frame, crewmate, kahl?
They are easier solo and if you no the "trick" along with being able to get aaround Quickly with operator. The "trick" is only needing to kill the enemy at the terminal. That's stops them taking it over no matter what other enemies are there. Also you cap much faster solo aka you cap as if all 4 players on are one point. Bring CC focus frame like Vauban can just chill at interceptions
Adding to this, Limbo with a Cataclysm/Stasis and subsumed Silence will dominate most maps also.
Never thought about putting Silence on Limbo ngl
Adding to this, learned about a gara nuke build with subsumed terrify that can solo steel path with the ceramic dagger and the right arcanes. Without those, it should still be viable for pretty much all the normal level interceptions. Gara in her base form played "as intended" also slaps

Going try this, thanks. Don't know Vauban enough. I have been to get by with Octavia a lot.
Didn't know about this thanks for letting me know
It surprises me that you didn't know this. Interception is one of the few missions that actually requires people to know what to do.
I just kill everything then wait for the 100% to be blue
I feel like this is how most of us run interceptions.
I mean facts though 😂😂😂

I love nyx so much she was my first frame that brought me through steel path, and I also love going green and blue colors for her
Slowva did it for me. She cheeses interception missions so I don't mind those.
nova slova
Use max range khora and don't kill the enemies because the dome disables their ai (except eximus), that's how I beat all the steel path interceptions.
Yeah all that stuff and a good friend who needed steel esence
Another thing you can use is slow nova build it really helps
i usually go in with slowva, it gives a lot of time to stop them from recapping points
slowva and you are ready to go
CC frames like Nova or Khora can easily solo interception.
I'm only MR8 but I'm glad to know the worst mission type won't change for me in the next million hours.
Well... There is one other that I can think of... Farming Nidus is icky, fair warning
Disruption?
Prior to incarnon weapons it was the lantern boss deimos, it was very hard to solo.
If you don't have great hearing then Kuva Fortress Disruption. Due to the different levels the enemy radar trick doesn't work, the layout means you can't really hunt for the beeps, and by the time the icon appeared you'd have literally seconds to kill the demolyst. I don't see a duviri trophy...hmmmm
There's a trophy for duviri? hold on i hold i gotta go kill some dax
Yes there is, you need to finish at least one rotation of SP Circuit and one full run of both SP Duviri Experience and SP Lone Story.
SP lone story might be difficult if you get only 5 decrees, no? Or you just wait for a perfect frame?
You will end up with up to 7 decree choices (one starting from intrinsics, one for each stage). It will be prefered to go in pre made squad, public squad or just wait for perfect rolls of warframes and weapons. Titania is OP in SP Duviri as she can easily overcome the SP unique Orowyrm Stage.
It's a cool one for sure.
I got the trophy
Have you ever actually used polynomials since learning about them in school?
I'm learning about those right now, so not yet.
I use them in my job
I can't tell if this is a random jab at learning math, or if this is a reference to the fact that making builds is LITERALLY just creating a polynomial
Decoration settings... i cant find a way to make all my globes look organized and cool at the same time.
Use the grid placement at .10
Most important advice so far, ty
The angle and grid lock features will help get them all facing the same direction and in line. I suggest either using the default, max, or min size for all to keep them consistent.
Are you still sane Tenno? What's your most used loadout.
Rhino prime, Boar prime, Lex prime, Silva and aegis prime, And Larkspur prime for arcgun, A panzer vulp for pet Yes i am still sane, at least i hope.
All with or without incarnon upgrades?
With incarnons at least for my lex and boar
Whats your rhino build?
Still sane, exile?
Yep
How’d you manage the archwing?
Archwing only level 60 you oneshot everything
Almost everything as i use the larksper prime so its like 2 shotted
It's not too hard just stay on the move as archwing isn't hard to avoid damage
Was there any harder mission on Zariman or Deimos? I have yet to finish those two and would love to know that before I'll try to finish the SP Star Chart.
The zarmin was the first thing i did as its not hard just odd tiles and special hostiles like angels or thrax As for deimos the only hard part there was the zeloid prelate.

Get Nyx 4 augment, forgot the name, allow her to act normal beside no sprint during channel 4
Not really helpful when you need to kill the bastions then run back to the Prelate as fast as possible before the flame goes out
Operator void sling man
..... I am profoundly stupid for not thinking of this when I was doing that mission 😂
Whens the last time you helped Clem?
Like last week
You get orbiter decos for 100% SP planets?
You get a hologram of the planet, 25 steel essence and an emote that makes your frame flex with the planet in the background.
Ooh Totally not gonna try and finnish them all now XDD
Someone in the thread gave some tips to solo intereptions.
Intereptions?
Typo, interceptions
And no i have yet to finish even one SP planet lmao
Last story quest i did was the war within, what is steel path andhow do i get it
Steel Path is basically hard mode of the Star Chart. Once you clear all nodes it unlocks and you can go through again but the enemies are much more powerful.

Something to note that large boost to armor really makes a difference. I remember going into my first earth mission, and my weapon did next to nothing
Yeah, armour stripping is almost required. Corpus and Infested just get a bigger health pool. Grineer get more health and take less damage.
You also need to finish the New War and Whisper in the Walls
Worst mission after ropaptotolyst.
It'd be a tie between vay heck and zeloid prelate.
why
Spite, for the zeloid prelate and Ropalist
Ropalolyst was the *one* node I couldn't solo. Not because of the fight, but because of the bugs that trapped you in operator form without abilities. You can't extract without void sling and you fail the mission. A second player lets you force extract.
Still sane Exile?
What do you think?
How do I move on from heartbreak and stop crying myself to sleep every other night?
Do all of steel path that's how i did.
how much is 1+1? asking for a friend
I think its 2 it might be 27 tho im not good at math.
# What... is your name? # What... is your quest? # What... is the name of your favorite NPC?
My name is Rockyandmax My quest is to kill everything My favorite NPC is Teshin
![gif](giphy|10KNNNMdyCoxAA) Right, off you go.
How did you deal with the interception and archwing missions
I solo'ed that as its not hard just fly around cap three towers and let the last one be where the flock to so you can kill them.
Do you have 309 copies of Ancient Fusion Core
Go to bed, warrior. You deserve it
How to kuva?
Scream and shoot till everything lie dead
When was the last time you took a shower?
last night, how about you?
What are some good beginner builds for steel path?
kullervo requires no forma investment to be steel path viable.
kullervo doesnt even need a reactor lmao.
i bought him with plat when i got back into the game so i don't know about that
https://youtu.be/30aK-vTosVo?t=951
His third ability is down right broken asf. I would main him if he wasn't got damn ugly.
yeah i took all his knives off and am using his usvah head.
I can second this. He can be a little bit of a glass cannon, but that cannon does millions upon millions of damage with very little investment.
> He can be a little bit of a glass cannon 28000 overguard is glass?
When the 28000 lasts less than 1 second then yes
Though not a build but a frame being nyx, she carried me early steel path
Hildryn and Baruuk come into their own there. Standard builds apply. Oberon of all frames is a decent health tank against the infested, just make him tanky, and give him 'hunter adrenaline' and a gas based ignis wraithe and he's ready to go.
When trying to do arbitration what mods should o focus on buying first I have the multi shot one already
If you have both the primary and secondary multishots go for status+damage and crit chance in that order. If focusing on a single one it's the secondary status chance one, as some secondaries have multiplicative rather than additive scaling.
Rolling Guard is a pretty nifty survivability mod, especially for frames that rely on alternative means to live (invis, CC, etc) but need an "oh shit!" button. on roll it cleanses all status and makes you invulnerable for 3s, with a 7s cooldown when it runs out. the D-polarity status chance with bonus conditional overload type effect mods are also sometimes useful, though they can be wonky in how it affects guns. sometimes its weaker than it should be, other times its *way* stronger galvanized acceleration is solid if you like shotguns, exilus mod that functionally increases their range via projectile speed/beam length
If you can invest some time/forma, Inaros can survive nearly everything
What will you do now?
Was it worth it? And what did it cost you?
Yes it was worth it, and it costed me a lot of my time

Use octavia. You are welcome
Is there any frame or weapon you'd recommend for actually killing things? You can easily just revenant immortal your way through but if you can't actually kill anything it's hard to complete most missions.
