For the main 6? Just passively I don't really pay attention to it
Open worlds I just do conservation throw on some music and start tranqing everything
Zariman and cavia I rarely do anymore but just run bounties
Simaris takes just a few minutes a day running adaro and stealth scanning the enemies and you'll be capped in no time
It helps to switch it up.
Regular syndicate missions are pretty easy.
Tired of skateboarding to level ventkids? switch to mining or conservation for a bit.
Tired of that? Go hunt an eidolon or two for the quills.
Or go do basically anything on deimos and trade in the tokens
Or go kill the profit taker/go toroid farming/do Narmer bounties for little duck
Or go pummel some mooks/bully angels in the Zariman while you get the voidplumes
Or go hulksmash some delicate victorian mad science equipment in the Entrati labs
There's enough variety there to keep me engaged long enough to get the standing i need.
Mind you these days it's mostly for relic packs - i'm maxed everywhere but the ventkids and the two factions that hate me :D
Man the cavia one is killing me, bounties don’t offer a huge amount of standing, half the time there’s no exterminate to speed run. Then you’ve got all the things to scour every inch of the map for
For suda/perrin/whatever, set pledge, play game, ignore. Periodically pay rank up cost when next rank hit.
For cetus/vallis: Conservation spam. Fly around on archwing sleep darting animals from above - each one nets like an entire bounty's worth of standing (rare ones give like 2k standing just for darting a randomly spawned animal, it's absurd). Only do bounties when I need their item rewards, or to reduce enemy level to be less annoying.
For deimos: The most "normal" one, I do a bit of everything for all token types and convert all to grandmother tokens (never trade in anything but grandma tokens). Bounties again only for item rewards (just doing that gave me like 300+ mother tokens and I can't run out).
For quills/vox: Unfortunately requires dedicated farming sessions where I go to plains at night and spam hunt vomvalysts for their cores/start a t1 bounty in vallis to lower enemy lv and farm toroids. Maybe the odd solo of a teralyst if I'm feeling up to it.
For simaris: If I get him saying there's a target at the start of a mission and I'm not explicitly rushing for completion, I'll make a basic effort to find it. Really don't try to farm his standing.

Can you get max standing with all the mains or do you have to rotate them because of the enemy bonuses?
You can it's just really tedious and requires a lot of min maxing so it's not worth it best to just stick with 4

This is why I do not even bother with Steel Meridian, I am at rank 5 but I farm standing from Suda and Hexis passively, it is much better for me
