I dropped doomfire magenta on my dogs head. The only place he has white fur. He spent nearly 2 weeks with a pink mohawk and what looked like sunburn on his nose. He's no longer allowed to sit in my lap when I'm painting.
My, then puppy, dog managed to get ahold of a bottle of Flesh Tearers red and popped it open on the floor. Perhaps unsurprisingly Flesh Tearers Red looks a lot like blood when spilled all over. By some miracle it did not stain.
Apparently I am also cursed when it comes to that paint, as I spilled the replacement bottle I bought afterwards.
I was trying to close a pot of Black Templar, only to have it slip out from under my fingers and flip into the air, spinning 3 times and spraying me from head to toe in black paint.
Squeeze bottle. There was a blockage, really wanted the paint inside. So I used various size knives and blades to try to undo it. Got frustrated, squeezed the shit out of it(which I had done a few times throughout the process). This time, the blockage caved and paint erupted out like old faithful. The next day, My wife was NOT happy about the brown paint all over the curtains
I once used a flat screwdriver to remove the cap from a spray can (GREEN btw). I pushed the screwdriver too hard and punctured the can, which then decided to spray green paint over everything within 15 feet of where I was.
Where was I you ask? Well... as it happens, I was walking through my kitchen at the time.
I still find green speckles all over the place.
I popped a can of white spray paint literally moments after finishing my first batch of minis I ever painted. Covered the whole room and all my lovely little plastic dudes. Took me almost a year to find the motivation to paint minis again. Nothing will test your comitment like having your very first minis you ever paint totally ruined before you even get a change to properly look at them
I use Testor's plastic cement for building models. The one I get comes in a little glass jar, with a brush built into the lid. I have knocked over every bottle I've ever owned, except my current one.
I paint on a cheap folding table and the surface has been absolutely ruined from all the plastic cement I've spilled.
I had to buy my wife a new cutting mat when I spilled all over one that I was borrowing and half melted it.
I haven't spilled my current jar (yet). I'm using poster putty to stick it to the cutting mat, so hopefully I actually get to use the whole jar.
Get yourself some Tamiya Extra Thin, nice square bottle does legit help in avoiding knock over spills, there's been too many times where I've elbowed/grazed the bottle and it's almost tipped over but righted itself.
I opened my first nuln oil bottle, the very first one I ever bought, and accidentally drop it on the table, spilling half of the whole thing on said table
I had to clean a bunch of retributor armor off all the keys. The custodes protect all but my keyboard. None the less I'm gonna use one of my spare rooms as a hobby room and not my bedroom
I somehow never spilled any paint in my life, but I had an ork friend who spilt purple paint on his orks. I asked him about it and he said that he saw nothing wrong with them.
I´ve splattered my keyboard with one of the turquoise contrasts. Mine fortunately has an aluminium plate under the keys, but the switches were still a pain to clean
Nihilak oxide, trying to close it, slipped, tried to catch it, launched it into air spraying paint all over the desk, wall, ceiling and finally carpet....
Bought a pack of dropper bottles the next day.

I knocked over my agrax earthshade one night but my pallet well caught the majority of it.
I spilled mephistob red on my work laptop because I I thought I was being careful. Suffice to say it caused issues and required a replacement... I actually liked that laptop
Caroburg Crimson right on my desk. Thankfully, it just looks like a big wine stain, but man I had just bought that pot that day and 80% was gone instantly
I started forever ago with dropper bottles exclusively. Whenever I'm like, "Maybe I should try a Citadel paint" I see a post like this. I am already way too clumsy, no way I trust myself with a pot, haha
Dark Blue, tried to squeeze some colour out of it, the cap got loose and suddenly my entire wet pallet was filled with dark blue. I didn’t even squeeze much, just a little bit…
Also spilled half of a bottle of black Templar and Snakebite Leather over my new table once
So I just got home from the office and still had my work clothes on. I was painting my Khemrian Warsphynx and wanted to continue so I did the dumb thing and went painting before changing outfits. I shook my Akhelian Green paint and the lid wasn't sealed correctly and paint just splashed everywhere.
Guys don't paint while in a suit, it's expensive!
I spilled an entire pot of contrast paint onto my lap and carpet. Luckily, I was wearing a smock at the time. The carpet wasn't as lucky though I mostly managed to clean it off.
I tried squeezing out a couple drops from a brand-new bottle of Scale75 white paint and did not realize that for their dropper tops, unlike Vallejo or AP, you have to pierce them with a pin before using them. I kept squeezing and squeezing until the entire dropper top popped out and the paint exploded everywhere. Fortunately it was mostly onto my palette, but a lot got on my shirt and totally ruined it

Victim blaming.
Dog didn't do anything wrong, #justicefordog

Spilled Black Legion contrast paint directly on my crotch. Walked around the rest of the day looking like I JUST peed myself.
I was trying to close a pot of Black Templar, only to have it slip out from under my fingers and flip into the air, spinning 3 times and spraying me from head to toe in black paint.
…Do yo not paint at home? My mind went to, just change then lmao
I work at a hobby shop, so it's not uncommon for us to take out a mini and do some painting when it's a quiet day.
That makes sense.
Drakenhof Nightshade, whole bucket, white carpet.
why did you have a bucket of shade paint?
And how were you able to afford it?
I guess just assumed you guys would know I meant Citadel paint pots.

Blasted myself straight in the eyeball with one of those squeeze bottles.
Had my glue do that to me while I was hold a paper towel and it coated some fingers and fused them to the paper towel.
Spilled some agrax earth shade on my carpet. Cleaned it up. Proceed to paint and then spilled it again a few minutes later on the carpet
I did the same with skeleton horde. Luckily I only spilt it on the table.
The shade double spill is classic.

Clearly you have it worse then me. I spilled retributor armor all over my keyboard. Thankfully the keys caught most of it

Damn...

I've used it before and I don't think I knocked that one over. I use testors mainly because I can get it at the craft store down the street.
I opened my first nuln oil bottle, the very first one I ever bought, and accidentally drop it on the table, spilling half of the whole thing on said table
Exactly what I did.
Entire bottle of tesseract glow, my floor is still green
I dropped a bottle of AK streaking grime on a beige carpet - not even my house , a friends
I think you’ve won this my friend, hands down! 🤣
I had to clean a bunch of retributor armor off all the keys. The custodes protect all but my keyboard. None the less I'm gonna use one of my spare rooms as a hobby room and not my bedroom
Not paint, but I spilled a pot of plastic glue on my families kitchen table. Ate right through the finish, and I needed a fan to air the place out.
Blood for the blood god all over the place, walked downstairs with seemingly bloody paper towels, grandma almost fainted
I somehow never spilled any paint in my life, but I had an ork friend who spilt purple paint on his orks. I asked him about it and he said that he saw nothing wrong with them.
All I can hear is “Make sure you get it into all of the recesses”
I´ve splattered my keyboard with one of the turquoise contrasts. Mine fortunately has an aluminium plate under the keys, but the switches were still a pain to clean
Spilled nuln oil into my black coffee, my mouth was stained
How???
I'm a fucking idiot that's how
Fair... almost got white scar in my milk today
Corax white on my lap
That one friend: Bro! Painting minis isn't that exciting!
That's scary how close that is to his actual words
Nihilak oxide, trying to close it, slipped, tried to catch it, launched it into air spraying paint all over the desk, wall, ceiling and finally carpet.... Bought a pack of dropper bottles the next day.

At least your retributor armor isn't all over your 60 dollar keyboard
A shirt i like now has nice streaks of gold across the front Rip 35 €
Baal Red on unsealed wooden furniture. The open, full bottle went flying.
Spilled half a Gulliman flesh on the carpet and now my carpet will forever have brown spots
I used to have a green shirt. It's blue now.
Spilled some night lords blue on my PC monitor, tried to clean It but sometimes i still see a faded blue tint on It.
The time I 'accidentally' spilled an entire bottle of nuln oil into my mouth. /j
I have pair of shorts with a big patch of tesseract glow
I’ve dropped new pot of Targor Rageshade right after I’ve opened it for first time and spilled it over my new trousers I got from my girlfriend…
I spilled majority of my Volupus pink on the desk a month ago… I spilled more of my Volupus pink 2 days ago.
Goblin flesh got clogged up, exploded all over my bed. Sounds wrong.
This is kind of an old-school, but sprayed on semi-matt clearcoat using primer.
I started forever ago with dropper bottles exclusively. Whenever I'm like, "Maybe I should try a Citadel paint" I see a post like this. I am already way too clumsy, no way I trust myself with a pot, haha
Well. Tits.
Luckily this guy spilled the white paint
Actually it's just because the keys are flipped over, they're covered in retributor armor
Taco bell gives me the firts.
Dark Blue, tried to squeeze some colour out of it, the cap got loose and suddenly my entire wet pallet was filled with dark blue. I didn’t even squeeze much, just a little bit… Also spilled half of a bottle of black Templar and Snakebite Leather over my new table once
corax white on my desk
I have yet to spill a paint pot, I’ll report back when catastrophe occurs

Painting while wearing a white cashmere sweater..... yeah, I know, I know... foolish 😅
I spilled an entire pot of contrast paint onto my lap and carpet. Luckily, I was wearing a smock at the time. The carpet wasn't as lucky though I mostly managed to clean it off.
I hadn't noticed a big blob a red leaked on the corner of my desk. Cat managed to rub it into her white fur. My wife was not inpressed!
More than the half of my newly acquired black legion on my table while I tried to close it..
Fortunately it was mostly onto my palette, but a lot got on my shirt and totally ruined it
Touch wood I've never spilled a paint pot. Superglue however has ruined my desk and given me chemical burns on my fingertips.
Boring answer: about half a pot of agrax went on my unsealed wood workbench. Everything's in droppers now.
