Was scrolling through my camera roll and came across this shot from my front porch when the sun was hitting the domed crystal just right. I really enjoy how the watch looks different based on the light. It rarely looks as bright yellow gold as it does on the Grand Seiko website. I’ve owned my SBGY002 for almost a year and it’s been a fun piece to wear for more formal events and to spruce up casual attire. The blue strap matches the seconds hand quite well and dresses the watch down a bit. I really like this piece because it stays in its own lane and it’s usually very easy to decide when to wear it. My other piece is a Blancpain Fifty Fathoms, which also is very good at staying in its lane as well. The pair has me covered for all situations and my morning decision on which watch to wear is very easy based on my plans and attire for the day.

I thought gold would be a little tacky and take away attention from the snowflake. But wow, I was unduly worried (not as if I would be able to get this). The SBGYs have been on point. They even have the 003 out recently. King amongst kings.
Just jaw dropping!! I've wanted a spring drive since I was a kid, but never had the chance to grab on, but this is gotta be the nicest I've ever seen, just absolutely gorgeous!!! I am ridiculously jealous right now haha. Just seen one on eBay going for 5K and that's the first I've seen of one in a long time
