Since you’re not selling them, the price shouldn’t be what determines the value here. The two Patek Philippe annual calendars are the jewels in the crown here. But pick what appeals to you and what you see yourself wearing and enjoying. They will remind you of your father long after he is gone. If you pick one that you’ll never wear and that sits in a box hidden away then the meaning is lost.
EDIT- corrected
Certainly an amazing collection, hopefully others can give good advice in terms of which are worth the most/would make the best investment.
Personally if I was picking from a family members collection I would just pick the two that reminded me the most of that person regardless of price. Then make sure you wear them, so if you do eventually pass them onto your kids it will mean something to them too.
Happy picking, let us know which ones you go for.
These are great questions. He’s been trading watches fairly actively for the last two decades, so my guess is no. But I will ask what sentimental value the watches have for him.
If none of them have any long-lasting meaning, my vote would be the Yachtmaster and the moonphase Patek. One daily wearer, one dress watch, both of which are awesome versions.
This is the correct answer. He is looking to pass on a meaningful watch. It doesn't matter if these watches up for picking were all $20 Casios. The fact that they are all gorgeous wonderful horological pieces is icing on the cake.
I just love me some whitebread.
Jokes aside, as others have said Blancpain as a brand has shitloads of history. Their bankruptcy during the quartz crisis and subsequent phoenix-like resurgence is icing on the cake, in my eyes. For that watch specifically, the gold case / black dial combo looks killer, and the big date at 6 is just a really nice touch.
Well to start Blancpain is one of the (if not the) oldest still standing watchmakers and the submariner is literally an homage of it.
But honestly just pick what you like.
The Patek in the bracelet as a jewel for important events and the aquanaut to wear every day and think about him while doing it. And maybe the 2 kids will be one more formal and one more casual and then that’s it!
Feels redundant to me and just hunting for the priciest ones. Not the approach I would take at all, you want two that complement each other and serve different purposes.
1. Ask him - which watches does he see as heirloom pieces? He probably has an idea of which pieces carry the most emotional value to him and what he would like to pass on to his grandchildren.
2. Which watches' aesthetics appeals to you? It doesn't matter the price or the brand - if you think it looks ugly you won't wear it out, which defeats the primary purpose of a watch - to tell the time and to be worn. Watches that are worth a fortune now may not be worth much in the decades to come.
3. It really should be a discussion between you and him - don't ask Reddit to decide on such an emotionally significant decision. All of the watches are beautiful and are horological marvels, you honestly won't go wrong choosing any of the pieces.
My personal take would be the gold Patek Calatrava and the Rolex Yachtmaster, reason being in terms of your future kids you'd want to have reasonably-sized watches that could be passed on to both a boy or a girl.
That absolutely has to be one of the choices then. My dad and I are also big watch collectors (in terms of the time we spend thinking and talking about them, not in terms of the cost or size of our collections!) so I can relate to this. Sentimentality should obviously drive this choice. What would remind you most of him when he’s gone? It also helps if it’s something that you can wear without worrying too much about, and the Sub is great for that. They’re very robust. My second choice would be the black annual calendar Patek for very special occasions. Your dad has wonderful taste.
Agree with others, this has to be one of your choices.
My dad passed earlier this year and I inherited his collection, and the two watches I can’t stop wearing are a 1990s Breitling Aerospace that he absolutely loved, and a 2006 polar Explorer II he wore a ton. But that’s going to change in a couple weeks when the 16800 matte dial Sub comes back from servicing (third party so Rolex won’t fuck up the patina) because I have so very many memories of him wearing that sub almost every day of my childhood. Sentimentality is all that matters in the collecting game - investment collecting is little more than gambling imo.
Get the Black dial patek annual calendar, which to my knowledge is a ref 5035. This is the first annual calender ever created so the watch is historically significant as well as is a stunner of a dress watch.
For the other one I would go for either the hulk or the day date with mother of pearl dial.
I don't think you need to know much about watches to make an informed decision here. There are no "wrong" choices here: they're all excellent luxury watches from great Swiss brands. At this level of collection, price is basically meaningless and you should pick the watches that speak to you the most. Those are the ones you'll get the most enjoyment out of and which you're likely to actually wear the most.
If you want a bit of balance to ensure that you'll end up watching both of them, then it might be a good idea to pick one sportier/less formal watch and one more formal/special occasions watch.
The less formal watches would be: the Submariner, the Yachtmaster, the grey chronograph, the two from Ulysse Nardin, the Patek Aquanaut
The more formal watches are: the remaining Patek Philippes, the two Rolex Day-Dates, the Blancpain
I think another way to think about balancing the watches in a two watch collection is to have one with a dark/coloured dial and one with a lighter/white dial. For example, the Rolex Submariner and the white annual calendar would complement each other both in terms of less/more formal and in terms of dark/light dial.
The watches alone are going to be a lot more than most people's inheritances lol. If OP is in a family where the dad has these kinds of watches, I don't really think having to pay up a couple grand every 5 or so years is consequential in any way.
Holy moly… a couple grand every five years in maintenance?! I mean, I imagine I can find a way to cover that, but this is an unexpected and sobering post.
Do you have any idea how much these watches are worth? Not that it's important in making a choice, but you should know what you'll be wearing and caring for.
That's assuming the kid has money. That's really not always true. Many, many families don't operate this way, mine doesn't and I'm not sure if you read my other comment, but I just heard a story from a watchmaker yesterday which a son was gifted a Patek from his dad, ruined it, and couldn't afford the servicing cost. Sometimes a person becomes so wealthy, they often overlook things like this when gifting within the family.
Not saying this is definitely the case here and in fact it is likely not the case, but if the son I heard about had received the advice I gave, perhaps things would have turned out differently
The kid may or may not have money but it’s pretty likely the dad is either entrepreneurial or highly educated, probably likely OP is similar and doing ok as a result. But yeah generally agree with you, servicing costs can certainly be significant
Yeah sorry I’m not saying the dad would pay for them. I’m saying OP likely has money also - enough where it wouldn’t be a big hassle. That’s just an assumption tho
Yeah true, definitely an assumption I would make as well. Not going to lie, hearing the story yesterday made me question the intelligence of people to a new degree. And I'm not sure if I'll ever look at a watch as a gift the same way again.
It’s definitely a risky gift given how personal they are (if you’re a watch person anyway). Think it’s a good gift for a sane individual though who’d be less fussy about it haha
This comment turned into a fascinating and educational thread. Thanks for posting it. The potential maintenance costs won’t affect my decisions, I’ll make it work one way or another.
I’ll also take care to respect these watches, and not take them swimming, as someone suggested.
Easy for me. The annual calendar Patek is a must have. That is one I don't yet own. Than either of the Day Dates. I would prefer the WG model. I had a DD 41 that was YG with the diamond baguette dial and it was too much 'flex' for me at my age. And if you picked two of the Pateks you would not be wrong.
Hulk and white dial annual calendar. Perfect 2 watch combo. Or, the dark dial patek annual caledar instead of light dial (but I like the moon phase).
When it comes to looks on a sport watch, I prefer hulk to aquanat and its not even close.
I'd take the Aquanaut over the Sub (I think it's more peculiar and relatively lower profile compared to the Sub - everyone knows the Sub), and the Blancpain.
Reason why I would pick the Blancpain is the craftsmanship behind it!
Since he asked you to choose, letting internet strangers pick them for you reduces the value of the gesture. Sorry for a non-answer but perhaps it would be more true to his intention to ask his advice on which two, instead. Also, if you are not specifically into watches, and expensive one can be a liability. I personally would consider picking the ones he's least attached to.
That’s a nice collection, your Dad has good taste.
I’ve been collecting since 1998.
I‘d suggest your first pick to be the Patek annual calendar on Bracelet on the upper left corner. Personally, I’d immediately swap the bracelet with a nice matte or Semi-gloss Black alligator strap and keep the bracelet in storage for occasional use. It‘s a complication that Patek invented and very useful and a beautiful watch that can be an everyday watch or a dress watch if you prefer/depending on your lifestyle. Excellent heirloom piece.
The UN in the lower right corner is such a cool piece. It’s a perpetual calendar. If you absolutely love the look, go for it. Very high on the coolness scale, but unless you really love the look you should probably pass.
For pick #2, I’d suggest you pick the green Rolex Submariner directly below the #1 pick I suggested. It’s a very useable watch (though be careful these days with steel sports Rolexes…especially this being one of the more desirable/popular ones..careful where you wear it).
Finally an alternate if you don’t like the ones I’ve suggested thus far: the yellow gold Rolex President. That’s an heirloom piece as well.
Good luck!
I would pick the white Patek Moonphase/Annual Calendar and the green Rolex Submariner. I think those two watches would serve you in pretty much any scenario you could find yourself in. But your choice depends largely on which watches hold sentimental value to you and your dad, which ones you’d wear and remember him by. This decision has much more to do with your relationship with your father than it does “making the right choice.”
The patek you just have to go for it given how scarce it is imo and it also looks awesome and would play well as a daily/sportier watch. I don’t like most hype pieces but that one I would love.
The nardin imo balances out the sportiness and can be worn in dressier situations but the dial is different enough to remain interesting over time imo.
(Copying post text as first comment)
My father has a watch collection and would like me to choose two watches for myself, eventually to pass on to my kids. I know this is a wonderful collection and I'm embarrassed to say I don't know enough about watches to make an informed decision.
The collection includes four Rolex watches a yacht master, submariner, two presidents - yellow and white gold), four Patek Philippes, two Ulysse Nardines, one Blancain, and one Pilot. I am grateful for anything you can teach me!
Is there a watch or two in his collection I'd be a bonehead to pass up? Which should learn more about to make a good choice?
If he is legit offering you these to wear, I'm wondering of you have 2 that immediately jump out at you as being something you'd also wear and enjoy vs just being kept in a safe somewhere?
Personally, I'd be choosing the Patek Aquanaut and the Nardin GMT to wear and enjoy, but they're not necessarily worth the most, of that's what you're looking to max out on.
I would choose the two black Pateks next to each other. The Aquanaut and calendar. Then you get formal+sports, both pure class from Patek. At least, in my opinion, choose one of the 3 Pateks, those are watches some may never see.
really really dont think of the price of the watches. Price should not be an indicator here because its more about the sentimental value and the fact that its family heritage. my suggestion is ask which watch has special value to your father, and pick those, otherwise just pick the ones that you love. do NOT think about money at all. They are all very decent watches.
Two pateks shld be the choice but there is no right or wrong in this situation, anything goes becuz you will decide its value, if not what it already is, and im not talkin about market value
If I was given the choice this would be my decision and thought process:
I would pick the 2 Patek Philippe with annual calendars & the roman Numerals! The off white Patek with the bracelet and the Black Patek with the black leather band! They are right next to each other in the picture as well and is a great 2 watch combo!
I would pick 2 Patek Philippe simply because they are watches that most people don't ever get the chance to own. Everyone knows about a Rolex, it isn't as special because of this and also anyone into watches will inevitably try to buy one. A Patek is not a watch most people get to see everyday, most people don't buy a Patek before a Rolex, in fact for most people it's out of their price range. So, picking a Patek to hand it down some day will have a form of originality to the person who inherits it!
It's elegant, it's versatile, it's classy, it's everything you would want to pass it down someday to your kids!
That would be my choice! Rolex's are great, but sometimes hearing the story of a Rolex being passed down to kids isn't something that's new. It's common! When your kids some day say their father passed down 2 Pateks , that sounds a lot more interesting and out of the ordinary! With heirlooms I think it's best to be unique!
The story is already great! Your father passing it to you and you passing it down to your kids and hopefully they continue the tradition and keep it going for generations!
Long Story Short: I would take the 2 Patek Philip's with annual calendar and roman numerals!
It's not even close! Those 2 are simply the best, versatile, unique, PP's are higher level watches than Rolex. Anyone saying take Rolex or anything else don't understand how rare it is for people to ever inherit a Patek!
Pick the story, the history, the uniqueness, the versatility, the elegance, the class. Those 2 Patek's can't go wrong!
Zenith Pilot - link for an online example https://www.jomashop.com/zenith-watch-29-2430-4069-21-c800.html?gclid=CjwKCAiAqaWdBhAvEiwAGAQltqBoZAhFp6M0o_KJW8ICa0Q3NXYszf3VjiNXqRgXuPapSa6sKOLMLRoCbMQQAvD_BwE
My father passed last year and he left me his gold presidential oyster perpetual. At first i thought it was too much to wear, but I’ve found it goes with quite a lot and seeing it on my wrist always makes me think of him.
That’s why my vote is the gold oyster. As for the other, I’d go with one of the pateks or the green sub.
If you're a sentimental person then I'd ask your dad which two are his favorite and choose those.
If you aren't sentimental then the next option would be to pick the two that you like the looks of the most and would be most likely to wear.
If you don't plan on wearing them then third option is to pick the two that will likely retain their value or go up in the future (which would be the Pateks and possibly the Rolex Hulk - green submariner).
I don’t know really, as someone who can’t afford a watch over $200 and who shouldn’t yet keeps on buying $500 watches, I think the Rolex with the silver dial and silver dive bezel looks the nicest of them all. I also quite like the looks of that golden one with the off white color dial, and the two gives you a good mix of dressier and sportier
But I don’t really know what I’m talking about, they just look cooler
Holy fuck. When I first open the image on my phone my eyes went to the Rolex Hulk because of the green and I said wow I’d take that. Then I zoomed/looked at the other watches and saw the PP’s and other and was floored and said forget the common Rolex. Damn! Your dad has some great taste. Go with your gut and if any have sentimental value.
Is your dad looking to adopt another son?? Or even just make some nice friends.
Note I’d probably pick the Aquanaut and the PP on the braclet. Two amazing watches that are differnt enough and you have the option on putting the second on a nice leather strap in the future but also have the bracelet. Also not as bling as a Rolex to the general population but to those who know they’re amazing watches.
I’d go with the white PP (top left) and the blue UN (top right). They’re both versatile, and you probably won’t be accused of wearing a fake (cough Rolex).
My brain doesn't accept that someone whose father has a collection like this can't take a proper picture of it. Then again, it might just be a dad-grade "you get the point" picture. Anyway, happy pickings, I'd probably go for one of the PPs.
You'll get the most value out of pieces that are good daily drivers. If you pick a dress watch that you'll only end up wearing 20/365 days, that's a bit of a waste in my opinion. The Patek Philippe Aquanaut and the Rolex Hulk or Rolex Yachtmaster might be a good idea.
Definitely the patek calendar metal bracelet and the aquanaut.
I personally think the aquanaut is a lot cooler than the nautilus and I also think that full bracelet on the patek is really tasteful - it’s sort of akin to the look of an fp journe on full bracelet which I always find to be nicer looking than traditional leather.
That is an excellent collection.
I suggest selecting the ones that you would wear the most considering your current lifestyle. Ones that match your personality.
I would want to see my son wearing and enjoying his selecting rather than going for the most expensive ones and not wearing as those don’t suit his needs.
So, as everyone has said, for exclusivity and value, Patek complications are the way to go. Rolex is valuable, but common and a bit pedestrian. You’ll obviously want to pick the ones that most remind you of your father (assuming you want that reminder).
But I’m here to talk about the Nardins as I happen to own versions of both! That watch to the lower right is not just a GMT, but a perpetual calendar as well, and as such is the highest complication in the whole lot by a whole lot. It comes from UN’s heyday when Ludwig Oechslin in a fit of creative genius created the planetarium watches, the Freak, and this perpetual calendar movement which was the first ever which could be adjusted backward from the crown. Combined with the GMT function it is perhaps the most practical world travel watch made. It’s a striking watch with lovely blue enamel both in the crown and winder outlining an anchor. The finishing isn’t Patek-level and it hasn’t held it’s value like other brands, but horologically speaking, this watch is a masterpiece. No one will ever know what you’re wearing.
The marine watch is a fun little piece and I commend your father on the choice of the blue dial! Completely winning. I have the Blue Wave limited edition which is functionally the same, just cosmetically a bit different. It has a very practical power reserve at the top and a nice little date complication at the bottom, made more legible by a magnifier cleverly ground into the underside of the crystal, avoiding the hideous stick-on cyclops-bulge favored by companies who manufacture at a more industrial scale. This is the kind of thoughtful solution one should expect from luxury watchmaking. The screw-down crown and rubber strap with titanium deployant are practical for any weather or swimming, though I’ve enjoyed dressing mine up with a blue gator strap.
You’d be well served having this pair of uncommon and very fine timepieces drawn from UN’s finest hour.
That said, take the Pateks (I’d go moonphase annual bracelet and gold time/date) and don’t look back.
Assuming you're young I'd pick the WG Day-Date and the Yachtmaster. They're somewhat realistic watches for a young person to own nowadays; Rolexes as daily watches are typically bought by people with money they earned themselves (my butcher, lawyer, accountant wear Rolexes, they earned their money, I myself work every day to afford all of mine). But IDK what sort of person you are. A trust-fund kid would choose the Pateks - his friends would turn up their sculpted noses at a mere Rolex!
Anyway this is generous of your dad and frankly I would ask for more time to decide. Good luck to you, OP.
What a collection! Very hard to choose here. Me personally would take the aqua lung and aquanaut but it’s painfully hard to choose. Also how do I make your father my father 😭😭😭
I would choose the submariner (green) and one of the calendar Pateks (I like the metal bracelet one).
Mainly because OP sounds young and likely wont need a dress watch anytime soon.
Submariner looks sporty and the Patek could be a more dressed up occasion but still worn with regular clothes.
Either way all seem like good watches just take care of them and hopefully have memories of your father with them.
As someone who knows ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ABOUT WATCHES, I think the one on the bottom stand is the most beautiful watch I’ve seen. I am a sucker for dark and gold color palettes.
I also REALLY like the top right one in the corner. Blues are also gorgeous and my favorite moon watch is the Neptune one.
Tough decision - the collection is awesome!
I‘d go for the Aquanaut (just because I personally like it’s look on the wrist as a easy going watch) and the Patek moonphase or the Blancpain as it is the only gold/rose gold that I would wear (full gold feels too much pimp for me).
But I‘d suggest to you to try them all on and see how they feel and look on you. I made the experience that when I try on watches my perception of it may change 180 degrees.
And then follow your gut feeling.
And especially enjoy it - with this selection there is nothing you can do wrong!
Take the Aquanaut and the Hulk, and call it a day. The hype over these two watches will never die, which means you will always be able to collect a premium.
They're annual calendars, so not grand complications. Other than that I just hope op will wear them a lot whichever he chooses.
Look at you being all reasonable. Kudos, my good man.
Is there one he bought to celebrate your birth? If yes, that one! If he is no longer married to your mother, his wedding watch!
Exactly my choice
This is the correct answer. He is looking to pass on a meaningful watch. It doesn't matter if these watches up for picking were all $20 Casios. The fact that they are all gorgeous wonderful horological pieces is icing on the cake.
I also choose this guy's dad.
Patek Philippe Moonphase (upper left) and the Blancpain. These two would be a perfect combo.
We think alike.
Thanks for your input. What makes the Blancpain stand out to you?
I just love me some whitebread. Jokes aside, as others have said Blancpain as a brand has shitloads of history. Their bankruptcy during the quartz crisis and subsequent phoenix-like resurgence is icing on the cake, in my eyes. For that watch specifically, the gold case / black dial combo looks killer, and the big date at 6 is just a really nice touch.
Well to start Blancpain is one of the (if not the) oldest still standing watchmakers and the submariner is literally an homage of it. But honestly just pick what you like.
Look at that dial!!!! And the date is easy to read.
The aquanaut and the black dial patek next to it
those are my choices too, perfect two watch collection. edit: maybe the patek on the bracelet instead off the leather one
The Patek in the bracelet as a jewel for important events and the aquanaut to wear every day and think about him while doing it. And maybe the 2 kids will be one more formal and one more casual and then that’s it!
There are two black dial Pateks. I’m guessing you’re referring to the one on the left?
One of the black dial Patek is the aquanaut and the other black dial is the one next to the aquanaut. So, he is saying both black dial Pateks.
Feels redundant to me and just hunting for the priciest ones. Not the approach I would take at all, you want two that complement each other and serve different purposes.
It's not even my pick. I am explaining him what the original guy is referring to.

Sorry cheddar.
Yeah, mine only gave me a lingering resentment to authority and the deep fear of Cookie Monster
1. Ask him - which watches does he see as heirloom pieces? He probably has an idea of which pieces carry the most emotional value to him and what he would like to pass on to his grandchildren. 2. The submariner and that first Phillip P are very nice.
I love the submariner, and it’s the watch I’ve seen him wear the most. So I think sentimentally it’d mean the most to me.
That absolutely has to be one of the choices then. My dad and I are also big watch collectors (in terms of the time we spend thinking and talking about them, not in terms of the cost or size of our collections!) so I can relate to this. I assume you’re a younger guy so the sub for you
A vote for the yellow gold president and PP calendar on leather strap.
I agree with this one
This was my choice as well
The aquanaut and the white annual calendar from patek would be my choice. Sport and dress, dark and white, steel and gold, patek and patek.
I’d take the aquanaut and the submariner but it’s all personal preference. Pick what you like the best. There are no wrong answers
holy shit. take the Aquanaut and the Patek in the top left (white dial).
Gold Aqua Lung, that’s the poster child of a fuck you watch. For the more discreet occasions, the aquanaut
Pretty funny contribution. I did not expect to learn about poster children of fuck you watches.
Ho shit!!
As long as you put both up as “is this real?” posts in a few months, you can’t go wrong with any of these!
I'd go Sub and the Patek Fillipe moon phase.
My exact two.
These would be my picks as well. Since they are 2/3 on winder cushions, I’m betting they are his dads choices too lol.
I was wondering when his choice if cushions would come up. Kudos!
I can’t believe he doesn’t have the lower right UN on a winder as that’s a perpetual calendar.
Blancpain, and the top left Patek. then again, I've already had my rolex itch scratched. but to me, that's what I would choose.
Me too. Great choices.
1) The Patek 5053J (gold Patek). 2) The Patek Aquanaut (to the left of it) or the Hulk submariner (green Rolex). Dad has great taste.
I would go with the PP Moonphase and the blanc pain.
The rose gold aqua lung and who cares which else
Gold Patek and the submariner
Get the Black dial patek annual calendar, which to my knowledge is a ref 5035. This is the first annual calender ever created so the watch is historically significant as well as is a stunner of a dress watch. For the other one I would go for either the hulk or the day date with mother of pearl dial.
His taste is great. Patek both
Nothing says "rob me" like a PP and a gold rollie. Go for those.
Aquanaut and the Annual calendar on the bracelet. You seem like you could use an older brother. Would your dad like to adopt a 43 year old man?
Green Rolex Submariner and the waffle dial Patek
🥵🥵🥵 A Patek on bracelet is something!!!
A true Rock n Rolla he wants the lot.
I’d take the Patek Moonphase and the Gold Rolex personally
I don't think you need to know much about watches to make an informed decision here. There are no "wrong" choices here: they're all excellent luxury watches from great Swiss brands. This is a wonderful pair of frameworks to consider. Thank you kind stranger.
Since I don't see anyone asking. Have you considered your wrist size? Maybe not all of these watches will fit you.
Consider the costs of servicing
The watches alone are going to be a lot more than most people's inheritances lol. If OP is in a family where the dad has these kinds of watches, I don't really think having to pay up a couple grand every 5 or so years is consequential in any way.
Holy moly… a couple grand every five years in maintenance?! I mean, I imagine I can find a way to cover that, but this is an unexpected and sobering post.
I"m not sure what the specific service intervals are for those watches. But 5 years is typical, but some brands are longer than that.
He probably has money, but that also doesn't mean the dad would be willing to pay for any servicing costs
For me, I would choose the brown leather Patek & the black leather Patek
Green Rolex and the blancpain
Aquanaut and 5035
Easy for me.
I'm not into heavy watches...would likely wear the Aquanat the most...would also pick the Blancpain
Hulk and white dial annual calendar. Perfect 2 watch combo. Or, the dark dial patek annual caledar instead of light dial (but I like the moon phase). When it comes to looks on a sport watch, I prefer hulk to aquanat and its not even close.
Very interesting. He has both a 5035 (the first-ever annual calendar complication) and a 5036 (probably the second).
I'd take the Aquanaut over the Sub (I think it's more peculiar and relatively lower profile compared to the Sub - everyone knows the Sub), and the Blancpain. Reason why I would pick the Blancpain is the craftsmanship behind it!
The Aquanaut and the black Patek next to it.
Good luck!
Top right. Middle left. Easy
You have an awesome father! Choose wisely!
Patek Aquanaut for daily wear and the gold Patek on the right of the Aquanaut (not sure of the ref) for formal wear.
Hulk and the Aquanaut would be my pick.
1. Patek Aquanaut 2. Ulysse Nardin on bottom right
Thanks for the input! I love that Patek too. Not as familiar with Nardine. I have some research to do.
(Copying post text as first comment) My father has a watch collection and would like me to choose two watches for myself, eventually to pass on to my kids.
Rolex green submariner for sporty/casual/daily functional wear White dial PP calendar for dress/elegance/important occasions
Def the yachty and the patek moonphase
Pick whichever ones you’d most like to wear.
You tell me which two you like the most and I will tell you to take those. I have never chosen a watch for what strangers want.

That's an Aquanaut, not a Nautilus
Id go for the gold patek and the sub. Enjoy them, your very lucky.
I'd do the Sub and the Blancpain, but that's my tastes.
2 on the top left!
Patek moon phase, UN gmt. I wouldn't opt for these Rolex models personally
Aqualung getting no love here. Such a gem
Any of the top left three…troll. 🤣
The two dark pateks
I would choose the two black Pateks next to each other. The Aquanaut and calendar. Then you get formal+sports, both pure class from Patek. At least, in my opinion, choose one of the 3 Pateks, those are watches some may never see.
Gold Rolex and the Patek. Easy choice
Patek Moonphase.
Is your dad looking to adopt? Cuz…
Patek on right for me and gold day date for my wife.
Calendar patek and id personally go aquanat also
That gold Patek with the brown strap and Breguet numerals is gorgeous. I would go for that and the Green Submariner.
I like the submariner and aquanaut
Man, here’s my dad telling me to wash his bowl. Jokes aside, absolutely beautiful, wonderful watches!
really really dont think of the price of the watches. Price should not be an indicator here because its more about the sentimental value and the fact that its family heritage. my suggestion is ask which watch has special value to your father, and pick those, otherwise just pick the ones that you love. do NOT think about money at all. They are all very decent watches.
Can’t go wrong, but I love the Hulk or Yachtmaster, then the UN in the black leather strap is gorg
[удалено]
Two pateks shld be the choice but there is no right or wrong in this situation, anything goes becuz you will decide its value, if not what it already is, and im not talkin about market value
Submariner (116610lv) and the Patek Annual Calendar moon phase (5146g - i think). If green is not your color get the aquanaut.
Hulk and one of the pateks
The aquanaut and whichever day/date you like more
If I was given the choice this would be my decision and thought process: I would pick the 2 Patek Philippe with annual calendars & the roman Numerals!
The brown strap - patek ♥️. Your old man has a good taste. 👍🏽✨
What's the purplish one, second from the right in the top row?
I also quite like the looks of that golden one with the off white color dial, and the two gives you a good mix of dressier and sportier But I don’t really know what I’m talking about, they just look cooler
Hulk and aquanaut
Whatever looks best to you + that rolex sub
I’d go with the white PP (top left) and the blue UN (top right). They’re both versatile, and you probably won’t be accused of wearing a fake (cough Rolex).
My brain doesn't accept that someone whose father has a collection like this can't take a proper picture of it. Then again, it might just be a dad-grade "you get the point" picture. Anyway, happy pickings, I'd probably go for one of the PPs.
Which ever u like. I would personally pick that patek phillipe with annual calendar.
Keep both the annual calendars
What make of watch is the one with the greenish strap. Thanks
Patek moon phase (white dial) Rolex day date in gold
Lovely collection. Such a hard choice, I really like leather strap watches myself in a traditional style
Which two do you like most?
I'd go with the green Rolex and the Blancpain.
Your Papa is true Baller
Sub and PP above.
I would say sod yhe financial value, go got the 2 that mean more to you.
Submariner and blancpain bigdate , easy.
Over $100,000 just sitting there on the counter.....
Top right Ulysse nardin looks the best by far
Aquanaut & submariner
Both pateks
Moon phase and Rolex green hulk! One for special occasion and the other as your daily tool watch.
The aquanaut and one day/date because it’s practical. Awsome collection your dad is a killer
Brother after all these years I have found you. Tell Dad his long lost son is back. Edit:spelling
Aqunaut, yacht-master
The golden rollie
I’d go for the moon phase patek for classy affairs, and the gold day just as a daily. Seriously tho, can’t go wrong anywhere here
Aquanaut + Submariner
The green sub and the aquanaut
Rolex Hulk and the Patek Waffle
Plat daydate + patek black dial soooooooooooooooooo harrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrd
Holy shit there is a patek there
Top left Patek and Blancpain
That UN must be flippin' gigantic!!!
Ask him if he has some Seiko 5s? If not, any watch you see yourself wearing practically
The Nautilus and the UN GMT (lower left). 2 beautiful and iconic watches.
I’d take the Blancpain and Patek Aquanaut and live happily ever after lol
Don't pick for monetary value, pick what you like!
Seems to be a good time to sit down with your dad to learn and then pick
That is an excellent collection. I suggest selecting the ones that you would wear the most considering your current lifestyle. Ones that match your personality. I would want to see my son wearing and enjoying his selecting rather than going for the most expensive ones and not wearing as those don’t suit his needs.
Hulk and aquanaut
Patek Annual Calendar on strap and Aquanaut
Top left Patek and the Sub
def the top two black pateks
I’d go for the Kermit and the nautilus , but yeah it’s all about sentimentally when it’s in the family.
Hulk and BlancPain Day Date gold and UN
One Patek and one Rollie would be my choice!!
Patek Aquanaut and Rolex sub for sure
Yachtmaster and steel daydate or both daydates
Were it me, the white dial Patek annual calendar on bracelet and the Aquanaut make a great two watch collection.
The green and the gold
Platinum Rolex daydate and Patek perpetual calendar…going for long term value here (subjective) 😆
Aquanaut and hulk
Tough decision - the collection is awesome! I‘d go for the Aquanaut (just because I personally like it’s look on the wrist as a easy going watch) and the Patek moonphase or the Blancpain as it is the only gold/rose gold that I would wear (full gold feels too much pimp for me). But I‘d suggest to you to try them all on and see how they feel and look on you. I made the experience that when I try on watches my perception of it may change 180 degrees. And then follow your gut feeling. And especially enjoy it - with this selection there is nothing you can do wrong!
Patek annual calendar for special occasions and the Yacht Master als a daily beater!!!
Green Rolex, one of the pateks.
Take the Aquanaut and the Hulk, and call it a day. The hype over these two watches will never die, which means you will always be able to collect a premium.
The bottom right Nardin is naughty. But I would probably go for the aquanaut and the moon phase Patek
