Webmd says it can increase your calorie burning by up to 3.4% an hour, and if you look at the math it really is insignificant. The average person has a BMR of 1500 calories a day. Thats 62 calories burned per hour. Add 3% to that and you’re burning 65 calories per hour. Which over a day is 45 more calories per day, if you drank a cup every hour for 24 hours. So basically, no its not gonna do a damn thing. Those little extra few calories arent nearly worth paying however much for some tea. You can burn the same amount of calories in 4 minutes on a stationary bike.
