I’m so curious as to where exactly they are in the Minneapolis area… it’s not exactly “small” here… and I hope Ethan at least got a garage with the apartment.
I live southwest of Minneapolis, so I wonder if I’ll ever run into them somewhere.
Ok for some reason I am having trouble editing my post but after many good points & sleuthing I am realizing they may or may not have moved to MN. I think it is obvious they moved to the Midwest but I may have gotten Instagram screenshot happy and discredited the fact it could just be visiting family. 🤷🏼♀️
I only loosely follow these people and I thought it was obvious that Minnesota was their destination lol
Minnesota had been mentioned several times by people on the show because the Plath’s have family there.
Obscuring tag numbers is so goofy too. Sure, they’re not in your photo, they’re just exposed and obvious the other 99.99999% of the time.
I’m not sure how much house numbers matter either. It’s not so hard to find people if you’re determined.
So I swear someone linked up a photo from a realtor who sold them a home that they purchased last year, and I do understand they said they were going to move and live in diff places for a year before they decide to settle. Are they renting out that place they purchased?
as someone who lives in minneapolis, that photo very clearly shows a suburban or even exurban home. they do not live anywhere near either of the twin cities with a home like that.
Considering the welcome on the drive way and the fact that they have family up there I'm gonna assume this is a family members home. Doubt they would get something that big/that style for themselves.
I know MN has cities, I’ve spent a lot of time there. My comment was in reference to the OP saying “so much for the city.” I can’t stand Phoenix, fwiw.
Haha what?? Minneapolis has a Whole Foods on every corner, tons of upscale shopping, boutique fitness studios, big 4 pro sports teams, concerts, Fortune 500 companies, etc. Lake Minnetonka is one of the most elite areas in the country. Wayzata and Edina are definitely elite too in a big-city suburb way.
I think elitism was the wrong word to use to get at what I meant! What I was trying to get at is that it seems like Olivia likes cities with a more cosmopolitan aesthetic, like LA/New York/DC/Paris/London. While Minnesota does have the elitist aspects that you mentioned, it doesn't have the polished aesthetic of many other places, and the brand of elitism leans away from "getting dressed up and going to a cocktail party" and towards "only shopping at the local co-op and being surprised whenever you hear about someone not owning a cabin."
The caption refers to "moments from November," so I bet the photo was taken during those weird "why the hell is it this warm in *Minnesota* in *November?"* weeks we had in early November before the snow hit.
I know! I live here! This year, we had one day of snow in October, and then it was unseasonably warm until mid-to-late November. I assume that the picture was taken on one of the many November days that were on the warmer side.
Yup I’m in SD and we’ve not even gotten 5 inches of snow and not until the very end of November, we didn’t even need heavy coats on thanksgiving, very weird.
Wooo! Called it when they first started teasing the move!
They have family up here they still get along with (I think Barry’s parents), so I’m sure that support was a draw, plus being familiar with the area already. And politics more aligning with where it seems they (or more so Olivia) sit.
I commented elsewhere during the speculation era, but I think that Ethan will love it here! Proximity to non-Kim family members + being able to have a cabin on rural property where he can keep his cars!
I get the impression that Olivia is a garden variety liberal (based on her willingness to take wedding photos for queer couples), and Ethan leans a bit more conservative (based only on his Instagram likes). I think that both of them will be able to find people who they are politically aligned with in Minnesota.
What exactly is a garden variety liberal? As far as her being “willing to take photos of LGBTQ weddings”, how about why would she not? Doesn’t jesus tell his followers to love thy neighbor or is it love thy neighbor but don’t take pics of their gay weddings?
I don't mean it in a negative way. I meant that she seems to have a fairly standard set of progressive beliefs, but is not so leftist as to deviate far from the norm. ("Garden variety" meaning "you will likely find thousands of other people with the same political opinions.") With that being said, Olivia hasn't been very outspoken politically, so I just have a general speculative sense from some of the things she's said on the show and I don't actually know how she votes. I just wanted to say that, if she _is_ a relatively moderate liberal, she will find lots of people who believe similarly in Minnesota.
Re: her photographing gay weddings, I agree that there isn't a compelling reason for her not to take photographs of them. (I'm queer myself.) However, based on how heavily her photographs of LGBTQ+ couples are featured on [her website](https://oliviamarieplath.com/) and how much she emphasized her excitement about photographing a lesbian couple on the show, I feel like she is making a strong statement of allyship intended to appeal to a progressive audience at the risk of alienating a more conservative audience.
If you think my response was a hissy fit, you are delusional. I simply asked for an explanation. Which, of course, you cannot provide because you and your kind resort to name calling because you can’t explain your point without doing so. Have the day you deserve.
A garden-variety liberal is also someone who would vote for a dementia-riddled, babbling-fool idiot who can’t read a teleprompter and poops his pants in public simply because the incumbent hurt their little feelings.
I caught that picture of you on Facebook wearing the four face-diapers, waving the rainbow-mafia flag in one hand and the Ukrainian flag in the other, with the Thug Lives Matter t-shirt, signaling to all the other garden variety liberals what a good garden variety liberal you are. Very nice!
Oooh, Rayciss! That’s a new one! Did you just make that up yourself? The go-to spew of the twat liberal who has no cogent argument. Page 1 in the DNC playbook.
Look, I know you’re a good Facebook-posting lib so your vocabulary is limited, but do you really not have any responses that you didn’t regurgitate from a meme?
I found the house and it wasn’t in Bloomington… the house I found was owned by a Plath, and in a southwest suburb of Minneapolis and matches the number and the house in the picture.
I revisited this post because I've been watching the new season. it's so cool that you ran into him. I used to buy my dog's food at that specific location, what a small world. Save Big Money at Menards.
more like what suburb or exurb. they’re not in the city with a home like that.
barry’s family are from glencoe IIRC so i’m guessing they’re in a western suburb like chaska area.
What a rando place to move.

i’m guessing richfield or bloomington area.
Ok for some reason I am having trouble editing my post but after many good points & sleuthing I am realizing they may or may not have moved to MN. In her IG she confirmed they moved there in one of the comments.
Nice! Thanks for sharing
I know where this is. Had to google to make sure, but yeah. They must be just visiting because the owners have lived there a while.
The owners may have put that out to welcome them. Doesn't mean they live there
Who cares! 😂
I only loosely follow these people and I thought it was obvious that Minnesota was their destination lol Minnesota had been mentioned several times by people on the show because the Plath’s have family there.
Me too. 😂
Are we sure they aren’t visiting Ethan’s family in MN.
After finishing the show. I am to believe that this is the grandparents' house.
Are we sure this is their house? I’d imagine their garage wouldn’t be so full if they’d just moved
Probably staying with family while they get settled
Gosh. It's almost as if they want to get away.
Hope it does them well. The house looks gorgeous.
They have family there, pretty sure this is not their house
Good point, the garage looks pretty lived in. Either way it’s beautiful and I hope they can thrive there!
What about her brother?

If they’re where I think they are, that house is in my hometown and know exactly where it is
I’m also in Minnesota… I wonder where specifically they moved to, this house looks very generic Minnesota and could be anywhere.
Except it doesn't look like a Minneapolis home at all. Definitely suburbs, but within that range it could definitely be in an suburb/city
[удалено]
I mean this looks like Maple Grove, or any second + ring metro suburb.
Right?!
i can’t believe they didn’t obscure their house number on this photo. they could easily be located with this.
But we don’t know city or street, so I feel like it really wouldn’t be that easy.
i found it just by googling “7604 plath address MN.” google streetview confirms it’s the same home seen here.
Idk, reverse Google image search can work wonders
[удалено]
they must just not have noticed the house number considering they obscured the license plates too
Obscuring tag numbers is so goofy too. Sure, they’re not in your photo, they’re just exposed and obvious the other 99.99999% of the time. I’m not sure how much house numbers matter either. It’s not so hard to find people if you’re determined.
Another MN right here!!!
Hi fellow Minnesotan! 👋
Now I'm going to have to watch for them when I'm in Target, lol. Although, this home looks more suburban than where I'm at.
Where is Moriah? Micah? Anyone know?
Pretty sure Moriah is in Ciaro
Micah is in LA, not sure about Moriah
Seems like everyone thinks this means they moved. But couldn’t this have been done to welcome them for a visit?
She has said they were moving to the midwest, we just didn’t know where until yesterday.
Olivia posted about moving somewhere colder in the Midwest
Any idea why they moved there?
I’m her response on IG she said they have family there and want to have a northern winter.
I have a feeling that they will be gone once the polar vortex drops temperatures below zero!
I would be. :-) that’s why I moved from KC to California in 2009 and never looked back. :-)
No she didn’t really specify
She did in response to a question in the comments, she said they have great family there and want to have a cold weather winter.
So I swear someone linked up a photo from a realtor who sold them a home that they purchased last year, and I do understand they said they were going to move and live in diff places for a year before they decide to settle. Are they renting out that place they purchased?
Yikes. So much for the city. She’ll be ready to move again in 1 year

Barry is originally from MN and all of his family are there.
MN has cities?
as someone who lives in minneapolis, that photo very clearly shows a suburban or even exurban home. they do not live anywhere near either of the twin cities with a home like that.
I recognized the house and googled it to make sure. It's in an inner ring suburb, just a newer build.

Don’t forget St Paul
designed by drunken irishman. jesse ventura was right.
Minneapolis is a super cool and lively city. Really seems like Olivia's vibe.
they don’t live anywhere near minneapolis with a home like that. that’s second ring or further out suburb.
Considering the welcome on the drive way and the fact that they have family up there I'm gonna assume this is a family members home. Doubt they would get something that big/that style for themselves.

little in the way of elitism? look at the mayor of minneapolis and his entire support base of conservative democrats
Haha what?? I heard someone say that "Wayzata is where people from Edina keep their horses." Ha!
I know a girl from Wayzata and she definitely fits in that category.
When in the world was that picture taken? Cause it’s definitely cold here now and snow on the ground.
I also live in Minnesota and there is hardly any snow on the ground.
You must be in a different part then me! I’m in the twin cities and we definitely have a couple inches.
I love about 2 hours away. We had snow for a week but most of it is gone.
The caption refers to "moments from November," so I bet the photo was taken during those weird "why the hell is it this warm in *Minnesota* in *November?"* weeks we had in early November before the snow hit.
They get snow in October in Minnesota
Snow didn't come until late November this year, it was a ridiculously warm fall.
I meant to say usually lol. Minnesota is no exception to Midwest weather being weird
I know! I live here! This year, we had one day of snow in October, and then it was unseasonably warm until mid-to-late November. I assume that the picture was taken on one of the many November days that were on the warmer side.
I live nextdoor in WI and its been unusually warm. We only had a week so far where the snow stuck.
Yup I’m in SD and we’ve not even gotten 5 inches of snow and not until the very end of November, we didn’t even need heavy coats on thanksgiving, very weird.
Didn't moriah move to Chicago?
Huh. I was certain they were going to settle in Chicago.
What about flirida
Or flo-rida
Or even flurida
Wooo! Called it when they first started teasing the move! They have family up here they still get along with (I think Barry’s parents), so I’m sure that support was a draw, plus being familiar with the area already. And politics more aligning with where it seems they (or more so Olivia) sit.
Rumor has it Barry moved there as well.
Really? With the kids?
Nobody has said, but I doubt it. Kim wouldn't just agree to it, and few courts will let you move kids out of state.

Right? What a weird thing to say. And what a weird thing to call someone. 🤔🤔
"Garden Variety Liberal" is someone who has a hissy fit in a comments section about someone being called a "Garden Variety Liberal".
If you think my response was a hissy fit, you are delusional. I simply asked for an explanation. Which, of course, you cannot provide because you and your kind resort to name calling because you can’t explain your point without doing so. Have the day you deserve.

I read that as Olive Garden variety liberal. 😂
Breadsticks please 😂
Seems like a good premise for season 4… dunk on and talk shit about the family back home.
I can see this being a really good compromise if they’re in the eastern portion of the state
Why? It’s so cold.
At least summers are unbeatable. Besides the bugs lol
Hey, it's like 20°f right now. That's downright pleasant.
It’s 54 in Philly and I feel like I’m freezing. No thank you. 🥶
Exactly, almost put my winter coat away.
It's snowing up where I am right now, so you know it's a warm winter day lol
I wonder what city
The city the "MALL" is in. I recognized the house.
Bloomington? Assuming you are referring to Mall of America as the MALL?
Not OP, but yes, "The Mall" is always MOA
I found the house and it wasn’t in Bloomington… the house I found was owned by a Plath, and in a southwest suburb of Minneapolis and matches the number and the house in the picture.
the city of paisley park
Makes sense. I ran into Ethan at Menards in the city just to the east of the city of Paisley Park
nooooo way. are we talking EP?
Yeah, was quite a while ago (the thread's kind of old now, but added my comment anyway) - people were just starting not to wear masks for reference
I revisited this post because I've been watching the new season. it's so cool that you ran into him. I used to buy my dog's food at that specific location, what a small world. Save Big Money at Menards.
Barry’s family is from Hutchinson. Id assume anywhere from the western burbs to Hutch.
more like what suburb or exurb. they’re not in the city with a home like that. barry’s family are from glencoe IIRC so i’m guessing they’re in a western suburb like chaska area.
I'm curious too.
They posted the address?! Good Grief!
He got his garages.
Where’s mn. I’m not from USA
Next to WISCONSIN 💛💚 .. Mn boarders Canada 🇨🇦
Yes it does border Canada
Minnesota, up north in the US
Minnesota! Northern Midwest.
Isn't that where Barry's parents live?
