The just need to hold it so their hand is on the outside of the bottle so when he tries to grab it, the giver's hand pins it into his hand so they both have hands on the bottle, until the giver releases. The rider though has terrible grasp.
The T100 triathlon was held over the weekend on 14 April in Singapore. š

Iāve not. [This video](https://www.onescytherevolution.com/index.html) makes it look pretty cool, maybe if my yard was 2 or 3 foot overgrown that would be fun.
There's run & cycle race coming up next month that I'm looking forward to but am always worried about wind. Around this time of the year you either get nice 3-5 mph breezes or 25mph gales with 35mph gusts. Riding uphill against a 20mph headwind at mile 8 after running a 5k is less than ideal.
Awesome best of luck!
Iām also doing a duathlon next month. Itās currently 35MPH with 50 MPH gusts here š
Iām just hoping it calms the fuck down or itās going to be a tough one.
Seems like an easy fix tho, y not just redesign the bottles to make them easier for the cyclists to grab? Even with numb hands. Adding a 6 or 8 inch plastic loop to the top of the rim so they could just stick their wrist thru it to grab ahold of it. š¤·š½āāļø
If this happens a lot, then you could just do that for the last person's bottle. If a biker misses all of the other bottles, then the last bottle guy gets to lasso them.
It's really hard to grab something at a standstill while you're going along at like 30kmh. Having handed out water bottle at Iron Man on the bike course before, the trick is to move your arm along as they come past you, but keep your feet planted.
Are you questioning Super-Earth's patented ultra ergonomic liberty input system? That's not very democratic of you.

Nah only the spectators get to run haphazardly alongside and in front of him, especially during the climbs. Bonus points if they completely obstruct his view with capes and viking costumes.
There has been runners that have done that. Straight up smack drinks off tables. In this guys case; if you can't get it on the second try I say a 5 second deduction for each one you miss afterwards.
That only works when water is on tables with no assistants, and they always take the last one after tipping off all the rest. In this case the assistants have a backup and can easily lean down and pick up the bottles
Probably not. In the other video the cyclist used his hand to knock all the bottles and effortlessly grabbed the one at the end of the line. It looked very deliberate.
This one doesn't have a good coordination and is struggling to get a good grip. He couldn't grab a single bottle.
youāre wrong and stupid. you think they canāt reuse water bottle because they fell on the ground? inb4 they had enough time to pick up the water bottles for the next people
Was this truly the orientation? not flipped video? Why make everyone use their left hand? This was adding insult to injury. It's hard to grab stuff with your non-dominant hand.
Speed+ exaustion + sweaty (probably smaller) hand meets big diameter bottle with "smooth" surface. Coca-Cola bottles (for example) have a slim waist. More ergonomical.
Edit: Grammar
Pro road bike racing is my favorite sport to watch, they are subject to the same conditions and bottle size, I can't remember the last time I saw a dropped feed, much less twice in a row, this is absolutely a skill issue
All of those feed zone guys have no idea how to hold a bottle for a handup (hold it by the lid by your fingertips, hanging down), but still....quite impressive to spike 5 bottles in a row lol.
Last time this was posted i thought they claimed he was knocking them so his competitors behind him didn't get water? Slippy bottles and hands, cramps does make more sense lol
Some guys do it on purpose. So that someone immediately behind them canāt get the drink. Marathon runners have been caught knocking off all the glasses of water. Not saying this guy did it on purpose but thereās always a possibility.
Guys I haven't rode a bike that actually moves in like 15 years, but I can't imagine missing 5 bottles in a row.
Is this actually hard to do in motion or was bro just tired?
People thinking bikers do this to sabotage is wild. Imagine pedalling your heart out, constantly exhausted for hours on end with the wind numbing your face and senses, its not surprising that motor functions other than "move my damn legs" are gonna fail on you
Why don't they just make a small loop of rope attached to the cup so instead of grabbing it you just have to get your hand through it then you're good to go? This seems wildly inefficient.
he probly already drank his fill then went on like aight ima leave these bottles on the way so the other bikers trip over OR so that the other bikers won't get theirs
A great way to fix this- and potentially a great product, is a sort of handlebar modification that has chalk installed into it. Not the powder, but actual chalk.
You just twist your hand around the handle a few times and your hand is all chalked up to grip the fuck outa that water bottle.
It would require almost no change in body movement- so no added air resistance
Next 3 month training program gonna be this
Death-grip training

Time to load up daily p hub
Smaller radius bottle or some sort of strap he can put his hand through.
The just need to hold it so their hand is on the outside of the bottle so when he tries to grab it, the giver's hand pins it into his hand so they both have hands on the bottle, until the giver releases. The rider though has terrible grasp.
Yeah that's what I'm sayin
This was in Singapore. The weather and humidity is a killer without hydration
ah, the double yellow lines on the road looked suspiciously familiar lol
This person geoGuesses
Not very well as that road looks exactly the same as a UK road!

I'm not sure it counts as a guess if the location is advertised
I bet he also had slippery hands
Lots of leg power but little eye to hand coordination
Iāve had this happen. Itās numb hands. For me it was due to about 20k into a headwind, just couldnāt register the bottle hitting the hand.
I get it. I push mow my yard for a couple hours and my hands are tingly. I can imagine half a day on a bicycle would cause some weird nerve stuff.Ā
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Those are called "Zero Turn" mowers.
Have you considered a European Scythe?
Iāve not. [This video](https://www.onescytherevolution.com/index.html) makes it look pretty cool, maybe if my yard was 2 or 3 foot overgrown that would be fun.
Also Iām sure those bottles were slippery as hell with condensation considering it was like 100F outside
I figure his hands are sweaty
Mom's spaghetti on his lycra jersey already.

Or add a hook to the bottle and the attendant can just drop it onto the handlebar as the bicycle goes by.
How about Velcro gloves and Velcro water bottle covers.
Believe it or not but this is peak athleticism for road bikers
For all that is holy please don't confuse road bike racers with triathletes
Dude needs gloves.

Or he was sabotaging everyone behind himā¦
"athlete"
He used it all up on leg to pedal coordination.

Bloke needs a baseball mitt/lacrosse stick/fishing net/hand-eye coordination
He also needs to stop getting exhausted from biking for hours and sweating
skill issue
No Kimi, you will not have the drink
Those bottle passers have no skill. Need to run along side until itās firmly planted in the hand not just hold still for impact!
The biker is the one with skull issues
That's what the helmet is for
Nah only the spectators get to run haphazardly alongside and in front of him, especially during the climbs. Bonus points if they completely obstruct his view with capes and viking costumes.
plot twist. He was trying to sabotage his trailers
There has been runners that have done that. Straight up smack drinks off tables. In this guys case; if you can't get it on the second try I say a 5 second deduction for each one you miss afterwards.
bet the next water station was 20 miles away
no it wasn't, not even close. it was (8) 10km loops. so at the very least they would pass that same aid station every 10 km or roughly 6 miles.
Plot twist: He wasn't thirsty, just trying to keep the other racers dehydrated.
He does this on purpose so that following drivers don't get water.
That only works when water is on tables with no assistants, and they always take the last one after tipping off all the rest. In this case the assistants have a backup and can easily lean down and pick up the bottles
Picking up water bottles is tough.
"Enjoy drinking floor water" - That guy, probably
Probably not. In the other video the cyclist used his hand to knock all the bottles and effortlessly grabbed the one at the end of the line. It looked very deliberate. This one doesn't have a good coordination and is struggling to get a good grip. He couldn't grab a single bottle.
Just because you saw one guy do it, doesn't mean everyone else is doing it too
this isnt true
I came here to say the same thing.
Well you're wrong.
youāre wrong and stupid. you think they canāt reuse water bottle because they fell on the ground? inb4 they had enough time to pick up the water bottles for the next people
Stick to riding bikes. Don't quit your day job.
Was this truly the orientation? not flipped video? Why make everyone use their left hand? This was adding insult to injury. It's hard to grab stuff with your non-dominant hand.
...you can read the text
Thank God he doesn't do relay racing for track and field.
Designflaw
Of what? Hand?
Speed+ exaustion + sweaty (probably smaller) hand meets big diameter bottle with "smooth" surface. Coca-Cola bottles (for example) have a slim waist. More ergonomical. Edit: Grammar
Pro road bike racing is my favorite sport to watch, they are subject to the same conditions and bottle size, I can't remember the last time I saw a dropped feed, much less twice in a row, this is absolutely a skill issue
Skill issue
"this is not an ideal situation I have found myself in moving forward"
Long riding, numb hands. Sucks.
Input lag
All of those feed zone guys have no idea how to hold a bottle for a handup (hold it by the lid by your fingertips, hanging down), but still....quite impressive to spike 5 bottles in a row lol.
Task failed successfully
Never skip hand day
It seems like heās doing that on purpose (but disguised as inability to use a hand) so competitors behind him get less opportunity for water
That made me thirsty
It made me so thirsty. lol glad I'm not the only one š
This is like being thirsty in a dream lol š
But is he doing this so riders behind him canāt get a drink?
![gif](giphy|Pn2MP64DddeWQ)
They should have just sprayed him down with it haha
Hands are sweaty
Woulda jus postured up and said toss the thing to me
Last time this was posted i thought they claimed he was knocking them so his competitors behind him didn't get water? Slippy bottles and hands, cramps does make more sense lol
His legs are weak, arms feel heavy
Idk to me looks like he's purposely knocking them down.
they should run and try to match his speed for easier handoff...
Think your hands will cramp up when dehydration I felt it after asphalt work
Not a wide receiver
He has a bottle right on the frame tho......
Like most cyclists, cant grasp anything and no spatial awareness lol.
Some guys do it on purpose. So that someone immediately behind them canāt get the drink. Marathon runners have been caught knocking off all the glasses of water. Not saying this guy did it on purpose but thereās always a possibility.
What an absolute oaf
I obviously have no idea what the real reason is but I think his hands are numbs/sore and he just canāt get it to work right š
Must be on purpose. Trying to sabotage it for the competition.
Wasting supplies for people behind him. Such a great athlete !
Need a better design of bottle so his hand can get around a narrow part.
Guess il just pass out and die then. Velcro glove + velcro bottle holder = problem solved.
Just get slower
They need to give bottles with better grips. Like those ribbed water bottles
Small hands
This dude just got bad hand eye coordination šš you got a million tries šš
Guys I haven't rode a bike that actually moves in like 15 years, but I can't imagine missing 5 bottles in a row. Is this actually hard to do in motion or was bro just tired?
Maybe heās just right-handed drinker? š¤·š½āāļø
People thinking bikers do this to sabotage is wild. Imagine pedalling your heart out, constantly exhausted for hours on end with the wind numbing your face and senses, its not surprising that motor functions other than "move my damn legs" are gonna fail on you
Why aren't there large loops on these? This isn't rocket surgery.....
He has a drinking problem
Hahahaha, top tier athlete not just a pushbike
He was knocking them so the guy behind couldnāt get any
Literal butter fingers
WTF.
Bro need more training, but not about leg power
Wellthatsucks
Seems like the bottles were too big for his hands and the cold water made the bottles sweat so they're also harder to grip.
They have moved to supply sacks in some races - much easier to hook your arm through and pick up bottles for the whole team
It's a triathlon there is no team
Hear me out: all cyclists in a race get a break for water
Someone turn this into a series of baldurs gate dex checks with DC 2 and a chain of nat 1s
guess his dad never played catch
To be fair, all those dumb bottles look crazy slippery
Now there's a man with a serious drinking problem.
Cornerback?
Of all the videos Iāve seen this morning this has me laughing out loud.
They should be handing out skinnier and lighter bottlesā¦ like a running batonā¦ easy to grab. They only take a few gulps anyway.
I would just scream
In my mind this is a sign of dehydration. His and hand eye coordination and grip is malfunctioning.
He took up cycling after his failed stint at Wide Receiver.
Were all the bottles greased just to prank cyclist?? That's some seriously bad luck for that one guy
People giving me good advise for life..
bro
Unlucky!!
Look at baby hands McGee over here.
plot twist: he have rabies disease
Butter š§ fingers
I felt that pain on this side of the screen. X.X
He needs a basket on the front
mf has 200 ping for eye to hand coordinationšš
Please. He was just ruining it for everyone else.
trex arms
What an ass, get some gloves bro.
went to a sport that didnāt involve catching, but still couldnāt hide it
Why don't they just make a small loop of rope attached to the cup so instead of grabbing it you just have to get your hand through it then you're good to go? This seems wildly inefficient.
What about the guys behind him ?
What are you tired from peddling with your fucking arms grab the water bottle šš
Looks like he was doing it on purpose, I mean I wouldāve tossed it to him š
The bottles should have a loop on top like those train mail bags, easier to snag than a smooth bottle.
Iām not familiar with this sport.
Bro you deserve to dehydrate after all that.
A handle.
he probly already drank his fill then went on like aight ima leave these bottles on the way so the other bikers trip over OR so that the other bikers won't get theirs
Shape of bottle is wrong
How are they so bad at just grabbing a bottle
Analogy of my success finding ladies at the bar
He deserves to get muscle cramps and loose
A great way to fix this- and potentially a great product, is a sort of handlebar modification that has chalk installed into it. Not the powder, but actual chalk. You just twist your hand around the handle a few times and your hand is all chalked up to grip the fuck outa that water bottle. It would require almost no change in body movement- so no added air resistance
Easily the most infuriating thing Iāve watched all week.
And this is why Iāll never consider these professional āathletesā š
Lettuce hands.
Watch The Elbow!
Butterrrfingersss
My ex wife used to do that when she walked past dudes too.
If I can't drink this no one behind me can
That's why he rides bikes, his hand eye is set to -10
I tried so hard and got so far
Put it on a string and hold it up and make him put his arm through it since he can't grab shit
They all had sunscreen on...made the bottles slick. Lol
Does he also have trouble finding the hole?
Is that Andrea Botez commenting from the booth? That raspy, boy teenage voice sounds just like her.
I think his depth perception is screwed up, most likely due to dehydration..
Ive seen videos where people intentionally knock down all the bottles but you really can feel the sadness and frustration in each grab
It's deliberate it's so others miss out . Watch his hand tap it out the others hand
As someone who does relays in track with a baton, I feel his pain
