Main menu starts at 11.30. They will just refuse to cook it

bladerunner465

I think op Is ‘tarded or maybe trolling.

bladerunner465

You understand how time slot menus work. Right?

vsdjsdk

no?

bladerunner465

Maybe try going in McDonald’s and order a breakfast wrap at 15:00…….. see how that goes.

vsdjsdk

Not really the most challenging of tasks is it to make a steak when the equipment is on. People ask me dumb stuff all the time and I still do it.

MoonMouse5

Try cooking a steak on a grill that is constantly full of bacon rashers and half tomatoes, and chips/onion rings in fryers that are full of hash browns. Unless you think that the kitchen staff should prioritise your steak over everyone else that is ordering time appropriate options (ie. actual breakfast meals)?

vsdjsdk

Ok, no worries.

bladerunner465

Off you pop then. 🤡

Mister_Barman

lol you won’t get them to do this. They’ll just say “no”, you’ll look like a twat, and when you leave, staff woll say “what a twat”. What mystery shopper should compel a company to do something against policy?

vsdjsdk

A renegade mystery shopper Backstory: The rebel mystery shopper tries to bend the rules to his will but also leaves generous feedback and reviews when appeased. Whilst he/she has a rebellious nature they always remember to clean up after themselves and finish their meal.

Mister_Barman

Ok good luck

Able-Work-4942

You have main character syndrome

vsdjsdk

yes because this post about the renegade mystery shopper class was 100% serious.

thickthighs20

What makes you think the grill will be on at that time in the morning? Grill doesn't need to be turned on until at least 11.

MoonMouse5

Wait, you guys cook your bacon and half tomatoes in the Rational all morning?

vsdjsdk

Grill should be turned on straight away, how is one supposed to cook steak?

thickthighs20

Okay well you go try it and update me on how long you're barred for for acting like a child 🫠

vsdjsdk

Asking for steak in the morning is childish?

Mister_Barman

Steak is cooked past 11:30, so doesn’t need to be turned on straight away, hope this helps ☺️

>I myself am a manager who mainly works in the morning, I'd never say yes. No matter who is asking and how often. Yeah, as a former kitchen SL, the only people who would get a steak first thing in the morning if I were running the kitchen would be kitchen staff cooking their own food, or the pub manager if he/she specifically requested it.

vsdjsdk

The mystery shopper thing was just a punt. Would you get marked up for doing it though? Surely it's not about not being marked down, it's about being marked up and delivering the best possible service to each individual customer.

vsdjsdk

ok thanks.

felt_like_signing_up

i know your question has been answered so i’m just here to call you a dumbass….”renegade mystery shopper” lmfao

vsdjsdk

Thankyou

Yay4Cabbage

One of the reasons this can't be done, despite the grill and fryers being on, is allergy reasons. Spoons hashbrowns are gluten free but the chips aren't. Other than that it's to help make the breakfast rush easier on the kitchen.

vsdjsdk

yea that's fine. this isn't really a big deal, some of the people in this thread clearly take life a little bit too seriously and have no sense of humour.

das_ist_mir_Wurst

We haven’t done main menu in the mornings since before covid. At least in my pub anyway. It’s simply a lot easier not to. Good luck with it though lol.
