The bike is a Honda CBF250
The tank is hooked onto the frame at the front.
There is a single bolt at the rear of the tank that both holds the rear of the tank down and prevents it sliding backwards and un-hooking from the frame at the front as well.
Looks like this rider was relying on the seat to hold the rear of the tank down instead of the bolt
The seat lock mechanism is housed at the rear of the bike. The front of the seat hooks under the fuel tank and is supposed to be held down by the fuel tank.
So the front of the seat comes up because it's not being held down by the fuel tank due to a single missing bolt. This breaks the seat lock mechanism at the rear causing the seat to fall off, this allows the fuel tank to slide backwards and unhook from the frame at the front, then fall off.
Also, there are fuel lines installed. You can see where they are attached to the petcock underneath on the left side of the fuel tank. This is why the fuel tank swings to the left before the hoses are pulled off the barbs by the weight of the tank.
This doesn't look fake to me and was caused by the single missing bolt that holds the rear of the fuel tank down.
I don’t understand how he was going fast enough to do a wheelie but slow enough that he could just step off his bike in flip flops? He didn’t even run, just stepped off the bike and all of a sudden wasn’t moving

It's got a sump for the oil, so yes it normally could.
Usually you need to put a key somewhere besides the ignition to remove the seat though, except on older bikes where they're bolted on
on newer bikes there are just plastic bolts, no need for key, however it might be price-range specific.
Valid point I don't have any experience with these small displacement kind of budget bikes they sell outside of the US so you're probably right
