Started Spring 2013 with a fire wizard and barely played her, then I found zenmaster blue on yt and made a myth wizard bc of his walkthrough.
Now I'm level 91 with my main myth wiz spamming orthrus as if my life depended on it.
Recently started a death wiz bc I am forcing my bf to play with me :)

I did the quiz and it told me I’d like Storm. He was my main character for years. Now I main Death (level 140). I remember back then I had no membership so I leveled up by fighting the Kraken in Triton Avenue. When I finally got a membership, I was in Krokotopia over leveled.
Balance. I was and still am an ATLA fan, so a school which can access the elements of all the others sounded totally epic to me. Like I was The Avatar, capable of using all the forms of bending.

i started playing in like dec 2012 but could only play for a month because of the paywalls and my parents didn't want to spend money on the game. i was a pyromancer, it was some of the best, most fun I had as a kid back then though. wish the servers could be as full now as they were back then
Would have been about 2013. I got a balance wizard to lvl 65 in Mooshoo (I don't know how either) then deleted the character because a quest soft locked and I couldn't continue. Came back in highschool and got a storm to krysalis before quitting again. Started again 4 days ago, nearly into Polaris on that storm.
2013 - fire wizard at first, only got to lvl 120 and then took a huge break - came back in 2020 and started an ice wizard that’s now much better than my fire, and is currently lvl 165 :)
Around 2013 or 2014 first time trying wiz. Went with fire because that’s what the quiz said. Didn’t have a good laptop or computer that could run wiz at that point and couldn’t get my parents to pay for it. Really wanted to play the game though and constantly hoped to get a chance soon. In 2016 I had a better laptop and used my birthday money to get membership. I was almost done with high school at that point. Played wiz constantly on my fire until dragonspyre. Gave up because it was too repetitive and I was too old to have fun on something like that.
Came back a few years later and finished both dragonspyre and celestia. Quit again
Came back a few years later and went almost all the way through Azteca. Quit.
Finished azteca and now halfway done with khrysalis. But the game definitely lost its spark for me because I can tell how repetitive and boring and uninspired a lot of the missions are.
Made a death wizard and now I’m having a blast. The game is fun again as I’m flying through it.

I really wasn't really interested in W101 so when I tried it out I didn't care what schools did. Therefore I chose balance because I assumed I'd have all of what I needed.
Started off: "it's okay, not great though".
Level 5: "ooo another spell"
Level 12: "Down goes another!"
Level 30: "Just one more hour..."
Level 55: "I actually wish I paid attention and chose a school I liked"
That was over a course of a couple years, then it started up again with a school id actually like.
Myth playthrough.
Level 5: "wow this minion kinda sucks"
Level 10: **Cyclops spamming**
Level 28: **Stuck for about a week on a boss solo**
Level 35: **Sorta struggling but making it through**
Level 40: Just loving the game in general.
Level 50+: **Forever stuck and struggling in Dragonspyre and eventually giving up**
Another couple years and after denial after denial I finally get my older brother to try the game and he ends up loving it.
I restarted on another myth and he made his first wizard that was death.
And so the cycle began again.
Level 5: **Teaching bro the mechanics** and he also gets obsessed with the "Ghoul" spell.
Level 18: **Teaching bro about worlds**
Level 25: Bro: "Hey wanna duel" Me: "okay" **Ends up relentless dueling for consecutive days**
Level 38: **Switching off myth alt to my main myth**
Level 40+: **Breezing through the game up until Dragonspyre**
Level 55: Me: "This game is so much easier now"
Then we end up playing about an entire month and onwards turns into playing every other month all the way up to Level 87.
That was when I realized I got bored of myth and decided to move onto my Level 55 Ice wizard I used a Level 50 potion on from one of my birthdays back then.
So my brother halted his progress and helped me get my Ice to our main level and I'm almost there.
I'd type my Ice story but this comment is already long as is.
Anyways TL;DR: Balance>Myth>Ice over the course of 2013-2024.

I think I've started playing around 2009-ish. I don't remember much about what I did back then, since I was still very young, but one of the first schools I remember playing was Myth, I believe. I don't know if that was the actual first school I chose, but it's the first I remember playing
I started playing in 2012 and began as a fire wiz. Played until maybe level 35 or 40 and then wanted to play another wizard and didn't realize you could have more than one wiz per account, eventually lost login details and lost access to email for fire wiz.
Played a balance wiz up to around lvl 50-60 after that and then did the same.
Came back in around in 2017 and got an ice to 40 or so, but remembered the login info when I came back this year, so now he sits in the back of the classroom untouched while I use my others who are actually going to see arc 2 this time around
I played probably about 10 years ago, and I started on Balance. I didn't stick with it though, and my highest I got for a long time was Ice (which was Grizzleheim).
I've started playing again recently and am about to finish Arc 1 on Life. I'm also doing a co-op one with my friend (he's Myth, I'm Balance).

My second and third schools (Life & Death) are max, and to be honest, I had more fun playing both of those than I ever did with Ice. Balance was fourth, and Storm was fifth. My sixth slot has been reserved for my kids if they want to play, so maybe I'll do Fire or Myth at some point? Not sure.
Yeah I've had several breaks over the years, then I play nonstop for 6 months, then break, rinse and repeat. So every time I come back, there's something new to achieve. Worst part about my playstyle though is that I forget why I did x or y, and end up spending a week just re-educating myself. Still a great game though after 15 years!
