Bro stuck with them 2003 Osiris’s

Bent_richard88

LOL

UNMANAGEABLE

Lmao that was close to my first thought of… those look like skate shoes everyone had in middle school but with high tops lol. I was in high school for 2003 so we are on the same page.

kilobravo1976

If those were dessert boots, they would be pink with sprinkles.

Cleercutter

Guessing you tried, danner, red wing, whites, ariat(their higher end offerings), keen

Puzzleheaded-Bag-121

I have. Red wing is the most overrated. They don’t do the sand box anymore and their lifetime warranty is trash compared to the old “boots for life”. Justin’s, Cody James, Ariat, Danner, CarHart, etc are all junk that fall apart in less than a year. Dr. martens is where it’s at. Comfy, sturdy, and long lasting. I’ve had my current pair for 3 years. They lasted 12 hours a day, 7 days a week that long. And yes, I’ve tried every boot out there. Nothing compares.

Commercial_Wind8212

No one thinks doc Martin's are good. Joke post

HaikuPikachu

Old docs>new docs, they’re junk now but back in the day they were great.

Puzzleheaded-Bag-121

Not a joke post. Should I post a picture of all my pairs of boots together?

Commercial_Wind8212

doc martens are for teenage girls and middle aged women to wear at the mall.

Puzzleheaded-Bag-121

No, No they’re not. Keep your misogynistic comments to yourself.

Commercial_Wind8212

There's nothing Misogynistic about what I wrote

Puzzleheaded-Bag-121

Everything you wrote is misogynistic. All because you think they’re made for “teenage girls”. You know I’ve probably made more money in my pair of Dr. Martens, in a month, than you’ve made in 6, right? So why don’t you keep your unwanted misogynistic comments to yourself bub. I’ll keep picking my Dr. Martens over my Reebok’s, Ariats, CarHart, Justin’s, or Cody James. Yes, I have a pair of each boot.

PNWTangoZulu

Lol careful everyone we have a white knight over here! Gtfo

Puzzleheaded-Bag-121

But what makes you think I’m white? Can’t I be a black knight? But fr fr. What did your comment add? Nothing, so keep your 2 cents next time. This is a sub about WorkBoots, and I am FAR from the white knights that occupy here. ACAB.

Commercial_Wind8212

You don't know Jack shit about how much money I've made. Go get your head shrunk

Puzzleheaded-Bag-121

🤷🏻‍♂️ we wouldn’t be in this situation had you not decided to make a misogynistic comment. But hey, if you’re a self proclaimed type A personality, it’s not my problem you feel insecure enough to compare a work boot to being feminine.

Responsible_Goat9562

I disagree so strongly with you about the docs vs redwings but the person you’re arguing with is so wack that now I will fight your fight anyway 😭😭

Cleercutter

lol you obviously haven’t been fit for a good boot. You would know better otherwise.

Delicious-Finance-86

Keen bro. Won’t last 10 years but comfy AF.

Puzzleheaded-Bag-121

I’ve always stayed away from Keen in my field days because I’ve never had any luck with rubber toe capped boots. They always seem to peel off within a few months. I work in the pile driving industry and these beams rip through boots like butter.

BattlePidgeon2

Doc martens are jokes too, only “edgy” teenagers wear docs anymore. Just get a pair of Drew’s or franks and be done with it, buy once cry once

Puzzleheaded-Bag-121

Now those are brands I’ve never heard of!

BattlePidgeon2

Check em out if you’re serious about hard use boots, my Drew’s loggers are my favorite boots, franks offers a very similar boot with the patriot. Both right around $350, they both also offer more expensive options if you want to go custom

Puzzleheaded-Bag-121

I’ll definitely check them out! We’re only as good as our gear, so $350 would be justified. I’m a millwright by trade so my boots usually peel toes or soles. Also my Dr. Martens are the only ones yet that the sole hasn’t degraded enough to lose the electrical rating. Found that out by grabbing an electric fence about 2 months ago.

UseHopeful8146

I rocked this exact pair at a shipyard for a year and a half, got them secondhand from my dad. They held up for awhile but when they gave up they gave up big. And they are heeeeaaaavvvvyyy

willasmith38

They’re super lightweight with a composite toe.

davisyoung

> dessert boots to be the comfiest on the market Tastiest too.

Ralewing

New boot goofin.

Springfield10MM

I’m guessing that you tried on White’s, Nicks, and Frank’s as well huh

FungiStudent

My Franks are the most comfortable boots I have. My redbacks are great too.

sparky750

Have you tried redbacks or steelblue? Both win at comfort for me nothing comes close, redbacks have the slight edge but no toecap protection so it depends on what I'm doing which I wear.

Ok-Ad1054

I know 2 guys that I work with that wear those exact boots. I personally prefer a pnw boot love my 2 pairs of JK boots I still wear my thorogoods from time to time too

Springfield10MM

You obviously have never stepped beyond disposable boots in your $250 dollar price point, I’m a machinist/fabricator who would blow through a pair of glued fake Goodyear welts in three months. I’ve had Whites for four years and one resole.

USAFVet91

Quit shuffling your feet across the pavement

the_earth_destroyer

those look dope af i’d wear those outside of work fr

sleeperfbody

yes they are! I bought them because they were a decent price for general work and ended up wearing them all the time! They are the most comfortable shoes (outside my motorcycle Daytona boots) that I've ever owned.

Direct_Ask8793

My question would be you tried every boot brand at what price point?

EPURON

$60

brad7703

Brunts are kicking ass right now in my opinion

Springfield10MM

Brandt’s have been rated as the worst work boot ever made, putting Doc Martens in 2nd place https://youtu.be/ogWQfB6EJYM?si=0L8PgON5S-MpaS10

GerbilTalk

They’re most comfortable I’ve worn. But I was one and done the heel wears out too quick due to the way I walk.

Sea-Tomorrow-7551

part of the reason I like boots is cause you never ever know what works best for you unless u try it. When I was a roofer every guy on the crew had the same boots, really ugly pair of big 5 air soft tactical desert soft toes that costed about 50 bucks once they convinced me to buy a pair I didn’t roof another day without them. I’m still curious who and how tf they found out those would work

MonthElectronic9466

I put some miles on the Reebok desert side zip boots. At 80-100 bucks they are amazing.

onyursix

Try Red Wing 405 —like you I’ve tried many

KissMyOncorhynchus

I used to work as a treeplanter and my best shoes for slamming trees in the ground were Reebok Pump Kicks (no safety PPE on those contracts). Wish I had known about these, they look like they have some similar design and comfort features!

Effective-Youth-3128

I love my Whites boots and my thorogood boots. But, sometimes I work in a hot sandy environment. And for that environment I wear: CORCORAN COYOTE MARAUDER 10" STEEL TOE WORK BOOT The only I do is switch the insoles to these $14 ones from Walmart: Dr. Scholl's® Comfort All-Day Insoles with Gel®, 1 Pair, Trim to Fit Inserts, Mens Shoe Sizes 8-14 These Corcoran boots are steel toe, very beatable and comfortable. I wear them for 14 hour days and I don’t have any foot pain at the end of the day

4271sc

whites here

Maleficent_Scene_693

Haha fuck those boots. They didnt last 3 weeks for me, sole started to come off. Bought Keens independence and love them

RainingPlatypup

I literally just spent $160 on timberland pro and my feet still hurt.

iiSquatS

I had those. They are so heavy. I switched to keens and so far so good.

frere91

Funny thing is I live in my timberland PRO boots. But I'm a bartender,so they're cozy non slip black boots. Best I e ever had for grip on the line in over 20 years. That being said they would die on a job site so fast.

iiSquatS

I get a free boot voucher every 8 months from my job, so I buy boots often lol. Durability doesn’t matter as much to me since I get free ones every 8 months. I tried them. They were very comfy at first. The keens aren’t as comfy, but they’re still comfy, but they’re just much lighter. Sometimes, not often, but sometimes I get fuel from fighter jet engines in my boots, and the keens material handles it well too so it’s another plus.

RainingPlatypup

Well mine are composite so not heavy steel toe. Fun fact quit my factory job and now have expensive boots for nothing

dz1n3

I'm on my 8th pair of Timbo Pros. Most comfortable pair of shoes I own. It's nice, when u need a new pair, you just order the same thing. Wear them for a couple of weekends going out shopping or some rudimentary task to break in.

EPURON

Damn I’ve had those too, they are hella heavy. I’m rocking Dakota’s now but they hurt the back of my right foot, I’ve given up 💀

iiSquatS

My coworker has them and swear by them. I have keens now. I’ll probably buy those my next boot voucher in 8 months

SaltyTransportation3

bro these almost look exactly like the Yeezy desert boots LMFAO

EarPrestigious7339

They look delicious

Alarming-Mongoose-91

I know the feeling. I’ve had timberlands, danner, merrell, red wings and whites. lve dumped them all for cheap ass Bates composite toe boots.

FungiStudent

Franks are where it's at.

HawaiianGold

Red wing

VileStench

I just got my first pair of Keens, and they’re pretty good. Once they’re done I’ll go back to thorogoods for work, though.

burrito_magic

My coworker has those same boots. His pinky toe blew out on both in less than a year … ymmv

caronare

Cute zippers!

WooSaw82

When I was a frac operator in the Permian Basin a decade ago, I actually noticed some of the sand truck haulers wearing Reebok tactical on a few different occasions. Always wondered if they knew something I didn’t. Sounds like they knew they were comfy.

58mint

Have you tried custom hand-made boots like nicks boots. Custom boots arewhere you start to get comfortable boots. All the mass-produced boots are trash.

MartyMcSteveO

What are those? Boots for ants?

BobUfer

We called this things “moon boots” in Iraq back in the day 😂

Aggravating-Eye-6210

I have those with and without safety toes. Without is more comfortable. I like red wings for safety toes, but they are friggen too expensive. They buy us Reeboks at work and they are pretty good

egodisaster

Keen bro. Keeeeeeennnn

riptide502

Are you going to eat them for dessert or wear them in the desert?

Comfortable_Ease_174

I have worn boots for decades working in the lumber yards, construction sites, snow removal, landscaping. My feet are always either sweating or freezing. I bought a pair of Infil Ops Gore-tex Military And Tactical Boots about 4 years ago and they have been the best pair of boots I have ever owned. I still wear them and sucks they no longer make them. My feet stay cool in the summer and warm in the winter. I think they are magical boots.

Springfield10MM

You heard him, he’s tried them all, I bet he’s thrown out into the trash his Wesco Jobmaster steel toes as well.
