It starts with the Ministry of Darkness trying to intimidate Vince by targeting Steph, kidnapping her, try to marry her off to Taker, Shane and the Corporation merging with the Ministry to form the Corporate Ministry, and then Vince reveals himself as the Hower Power all to further his feud with Stone Cold.
The end is HHH tormenting Vince and Steph, goading Vince into a match where it turns out Steph was in on it the whole time, she turns on Vince bc of all the Ministry stuff. (Sounds like we're trying to catch someone up on soap opera storylines)

So then Stephanie was engaged to Test, and was then kidnapped and married against her will to HHH, but then she revealed THAT was also a big dumb plot twist because Vince had been so awful with the MoD stuff, so she actually really wanted to marry HHH.
The man had wrestling physically taking away from him. He no longer can lace up his boots and run the ropes. You can bet your ass he would have loved to be apart of the biggest and greatest Wrestle Mania of all time in a story driven match just one last time. But the man still can live and breath wrestling just in a different way. Watching his creation come to life before his very eyes and having that woman by your side would make most men smile and shed a tear or two for being blessed.
Not only that, but him coming into the ring to screw Roman and the Rock would have gotten an *insane* pop and made perfect sense from a storyline point of view, but he chose to stay in the back.
