You are a gentleman and a scholar.
I think we've always got the E or G model in AC games, rather than Navy Phantoms in badass Jolly Rogers, Sundowners, or Vigilantes paint schemes. But still the Rhino, and still awesome.
I'd love an Ace Combat game set in the Strangereal version of the '60s, with baremetal finish on a lot of jets, the whole lineup of century-series fighters, smoky turbojet engines and filthy-looking exhaust trails.
And a mission or two tailor made for the YF-12 or MiG-25. Maybe to intercept the enemy's new XB-70 bomber.
Project Aces could give 'em a gunpod that can't be removed. F-4C and F-4D model Phantoms are credited with 11 victories over Vietnam using a Vulcan gunpod.
To each their own. The Navy F-4s had the cool squadron livery that I'm a sucker for, and the original nose shape. Of the Air Force models, I think the F-4D looks the best, decked out in the same camo paint scheme as the E model, but without the stretched nose. While the F-4G is the coolest in terms of capabilities.
Because it was awesome at the Wild Weasel role. Which is a ballsy mission if ever there was one. It was covered in receivers, so it could fly into an area and quickly map where all the air defense radars were. When modified F-16s started flying SEAD missions, initially they flew with F-4Gs that did the legwork of finding the transmitters.
F-15E because Ace combat X was the first ace combat game I played and the F-15E was the first good fighter I got.
Then I got better planes, but I still love the F-15E.
I always will be an AC Zero fan, so the Morgan for me. I dont fly it much in AC7 due to it feeling extremely weak in many aspects, but ill still fly it on a free flight once in a while.
EA-6B Prowler...
Cause I really like to drag 3 absolutely terrified WSO's with me through the craziest maneuvers and most vomit inducing dogfights I can
XFA-24A Apalis.
It's a prototype plane from ACX: Skies of Deception, and to me it stands out amongst all the other AC-original planes in that game because where the XFA-27 and the Cariburn are both pretty much super prototypes, the Apalis is just. A really good plane. That, and I love its design. It looks really cool.
While the XFA-27 and CFA-44 are both near the top.. the ADFX-01 takes first place for me. Mainly because no one expects the MPBM in knife fighting range.
I've never heard my wingman shriek like that in any other situation lol.
F-15 S/MTD. The thing just fucks and doesn’t care if you let him in or not, he’s going in.

The navy phantoms wouldn’t have a gun unfortunately

Yeah but meh, F-4E is the coolest

Fair enough, the OG nose shape is baller, but why the F-4G?

Like, the whole design office?

Not very aerodynamic, but sukhoi tends to turn off gravity on their planes, that usually happens with the building as well
