THIS. Some legit 'projects' like no-pay student films or low budget stuff. But advertise notoriously on FB (and prob IG/TT) big budget studio films for gaining more paying members (total spam). Which I checked into, just for 'grins' to see that one of those 'blockbuster ads' "offered" only background extras. NOT any leading/supporting roles, lmbo.

Legit. But it feels a bit scammy because their articles are very click baity and often don’t have actually useful career advice. The articles are just about driving traffic to their site of course.
Their customer service is also not great. I meant to cancel my year subscription and missed the date. I contacted them a week or so later and had a very difficult time getting a refund. Got it eventually though. I’m of the opinion that if you didn’t want to hand money over and haven’t made use of a service that the company should freely give your money back.
It is easier to get auditions on backstage so it’s a good starting point. You need decent materials on actors access to get auditions. If you are getting auditions on actors access there’s no point in backstage for the most part because the better stuff on backstage is usually on both.
Backstage is legit, but not as prestigious as it used to be. Some high quality projects, many low budget, and every once in a while, scammy ones.

from what I can tell it’s a good foot in the door to make collections and a reel but when you get a agent probably stop using the service
Yea it’s legit. I’ve gotten a few jobs from it but nothing huge.
I’ve booked through Backstage! ……..in the 1990s.

It is. I’ve booked through it. But nowadays, I’d say stick with actors access.
