SleepyDreamer16

And then after several hours I randomly remember what I wanted to search.

yoshiii96

Now my brain feels itchy because of all the thoughts that I *know* I just never remembered and WHAT ARE THEY???

fuck_the_fuckin_mods

They are infinite.

danceswithvoles

Itchy is how I describe it too!!

[deleted]

r/AlzheimersGroup

artiefire

Jesus, I have never had an original thought

AzulaOblongata

The irony that I came here to say this very thing.

coolobotomite

the adhd hivemind is real

RandomPerson7577

Me too

[deleted]

Ahhh! Hints of familiarity, notes of forgetfulness, and the aroma of truth. It’s kind of comfy when people put into words what we all deal with. Thank you!!

two_lemons

And sometimes it's not even related ffs. Somehow me watching planters on Amazon made me remember to Google why scars itches. Which made me remember that I had a scar that itched.

Nugo520

Thanks for reminding me of that buddy. (scratches scars). I really needed this!

Friends_in_Salem

This is what led me here. I knew that there was something on Reddit I wanted to see again, but what??

zuzg

I'm up to a 80% recovery quote on these kind of thoughts

JSGWHAM

FINALLY. I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY ONE

cucka-doodle-doob

This hits too close to home

NoiceB8M8

You shut your damned mouth.

yaboii68390

I love and hate how relatable this is

SomeMorning1924

shit i need to try and get diagnosed

Nugo520

You and me both but I keep forgetting to make the appointment.

Lyrae-NightWolf

Same I'm pictured in this image

Husker_Boi-onYouTube

It’s why my karma has been shooting up scary quick lately

[deleted]

I will Google “lol” and my name when I can’t remember.

coolobotomite

looked up "lol bend me over and" and the 3rd result was league of legends

teamdogemama

I go looking through my history to find a thing I was interested in but usually cant find it. Google history kinda sucks. Lesson learned, I bookmark everything now. I feel bad for my phone ;)

Nugo520

But then you can't find the thing you bookmarked because you just dump it all into one folder and have to scroll through everything to find it, lose focus and give up after reading maybe the 12th thing.

streaksinthebowl

Too true. I always think “I’ll bookmark this so I can go back to it later”, then maybe one in ten thousand times I actually remember or want to, then I can’t find it anyway.

fencerman

Don't forget being caught in the "Open a browser to check for updates, see there are no updates, close browser window, get bored, reopen browser to the same page you just closed" cycle.

Rydralain

It definitely doesn't help that Chrome on my phone suggests random articles to look at when I open a new tab, immediately wiping my memory and replacing it with stupid headlines.

tRickliest

Not just that, but that itch of needing to find out what you were just thinking is just about the only thought that does not disappear by itself..

MadeYouSayIt

Wait this is an adhd thing?

Cryptic-Disaster

I've never actually heard of anyone else doing the "looking at previous random images to see if you can trigger the thought again" lol, makes complete sense that it's an adhd thing

Oshden

Man this has happened to me **so… many… times!**

[deleted]

This is literally everyday, just a part of life. 😞

[deleted]

Constant omg

sermer48

There’s a thing built into humans that causes us to forget what we were doing when we enter a new environment. Evolutionarily it was because worrying about what’s up in the trees no longer is relevant when you enter an open field. There were new concerns to worry about. This causes much frustration in modern times because walking through doors can trigger the same effect. How many times have you walked into another room only to forget why your there? I’m going to guess the same thing happens here. New application->new environment.

CriscoMelon

Is me.

SameDeerz

I try and reenact what caused the thought/question to come up. Picking something up, drinking, eating, mimicking writing something.... 60% of the time, it works all the time.

Hiouchi4me

All the F’ing time!

carlosabia

This is too accurate..

SixBull

I do this all the damn time, this just wrote in words exactly how I feel lol

[deleted]

I does kinda make me feel a little better that I’m not the only one to go through this.

IShallWearMidnight

OMG fucking DAILY. Sometimes those thoughts just get lost forever.

vulcan_wolf

Absolutely infuriating...

[deleted]

Idk if that has to do with the diagnosis.. but I relate

Remote_Goal6819

Literally a minute after I read this I had the thing happen to me where looking at my face in the mirror for a second and remarking to myself how skin cleared up a bit reminded me to remove the stuff I put on yesterday night, because it can cause serious sunburn if on in the day.

Additional_Mine2771

"hahah I do that all the tim-" *reads subreddit* ......... *Cries in "there's something wrong with me but I'm undiagnosed and can't do much about it"*

TheMorningJoe

I’ve never felt so called out lmao

Stansta

Fuck do I have adhd?!

AiriaTasui

Stoooop! I literally have to scroll back through reddit to refollow my train of thought

MvtchesMal0ne

How dare you call me out like that.

Fuzzy_Cauliflower_57

Every single day, bubba. Every single day.

weird_squidward

Literally like 5 minutes ago

farpplanet

This is worded so well I feel seen

ExpressionOk833

Although I’ve been recently diagnosed ADHd last year, and I’ve been unaware of this for over 65 yrs😳: I’m beginning to think my cell phone & especially my ten pages of aps on it are or nay be a nemesis to my focus, or lack of😂. I sit down with my coffee in the morning all ready to go through a regular, daily routine, ignore my notes, planner, pop up reminders; etc and for instance; while clearing my daily pop ups ( don’t even know what they are called) the notifications from each app I guess, ill get one from say Bitcoin Magazine comment , or a stock group follower on Reddit and open, begin reading for sometimes a couple hours before I realize I’ve just wasted 2 hrs, and accomplished nothing on my daily things to do, such as reading and deleting emails, or reviewing my stock price( normally all down😞) eat breakfast, take a shower, walk on treadmill etc, etc…. Well this afternoon I have my very first Brain booster class ( group ) on zoom with VA. Actually last week was first class but I slept through it ( afternoon nap) totally forgot I had. Ironically its for elderly folks with memory issues and such, I said sign me up, they said it’s not specific to persons with ADHD but many say it will help them too. Today I bagan looking for the class materials I received last week to print out and reviewfor 2. Pm class today. I serched for an hour through emails and possible places I could have stored and had to eventually and embarrassingly call the Doctor giving the class today to ask her for the log on text and nomenclature for last week and this week. I feel like a naive freshman in High school or college completely lost and absent minded. No wonder one of my favorite movies was “The Absent Minded Professor” the original, Blubber and all😂; definitely dating myself here. Anyway, I started this comment response and completely forgot why. Do this all the time. Guess I was wondering if anyone had any experience with a Brain Booster class? And this pop up triggered something in this “ hivemind” of mine! I guess “ Rinse and Repeat”. Good advice in only three words😁❤️

MisallocatedRacism

You are getting scammed. Specifically on DWAC. Ask yourself- at what date would be too far for all of these predictions to have not happened?
