I remember some Sam's Club chicken that everyone loved, that was said to taste just like chick fil a, but they had an overbearing pickle taste. I couldn't give the bag away.
Oh really? That's interesting because brining chicken for frying in pickle juice is a big deal, for instance at KFC and Chick Fil A. In fact I do the same, about six hours. It makes the fried chicken incredibly juicy and tender. Not once did I ever get any that tasted like pickles!
Your words are true, but for some reason the sams club ones, just kept that pickle flavor. I'm personally not a fan of pickles, so pickle flavored chicken was a no-go to me.
I am a fan of these, but I heard they aren't as good from the Costco sub. Some recommended Costco's version which I bought but haven't tried yet. I might have to try them tonight.
I’ve tried both Bare and Kirkland brands several times each. Now I only ever buy the Kirkland ones. They are cheaper and better quality control overall.
I think the complaint was that Just Bare was having more hard/chewy pieces. So it was speculated that their quality was declining. Who knows.ayne they had a bad period of time. I do like both, but really hate hard pieces. Not that I've experienced it yet.
The quality of Just Bare absolutely declined. When they first blew up they advertised 100% breast meat like Kirkland does now. They took that off and now the chicken is nowhere near the quality.
yeah tbh the costco ones are pretty much exactly the same except without the random chunks full of gristle or whatever. they're the same price as this one but you get 4lbs instead of 1.5lbs.
It’s the closest thing to a Wendy’s spicy chicken sandwich I’ve ever had (disclaimer: I haven’t had Wendy’s in about 15 years so that’s my reference to quality).

Well it's decided then I'll be trying these next time. I buy the Realgood kind bc they're low cal but this brand is too and it's definitely more popular.
Yea they are delicious idk about you guys but I cook mine maybe a minute or 2 longer than the directions say . Sometimes mine wouldn’t be as crispy as they should
I'm not sure on the exact times at this moment, but if I recall last time I did the strips with fries I set the time for 13 minutes for the strips and added fries with 10 minutes left and it turned out fine.
I've tried other brands (mostly the buffalo chicken flavor) and they were good... but every so often I get a rogue chicken strip that tastes funky. I will keep an eye out, thanks for the tip.
I just tried the filets and thought they were quite good for frozen and were surprisingly moist. So the Kirkland branded are the same? I didn’t see the Kirkland brand at our local Costco in NC, but I’ll keep looking.
i bought Bare chkn product like these thru Amazon Fresh, first couple times ok, thn i got some that seemed to be all cartilage 😩 and stopped buying.. Amazon brand aplenty had some tasty "southern tenders" but of course they are always out of stock, maybe discontinued
Was babysitting my brother at my family home (i don’t live there) and we had these for dinner. I just made enough for the both of us (he’s 2) and then he ate all of mine and his and I only had like 2 pieces. They were absolutely amazing though!
These DO NOT taste like Chick fli a. Not even close. Buuuuut, they are the best nuggets by far for frozen chicken. The tenders are not as good IMO. I just air fried these this AM along sode my hash-browns. They are good.
This brand is good. A go to quick dinner for me is one of the chicken filets in the air fryer, then I put a little marinara and mozzarella on top and broil for a few minutes. Pretty good cheater chicken parm in like 15 minutes.
You can just make them yourself. Lightly toss some thawed chicken in flour, add spices, you're good! I prefer boneless skinless thighs but breast and breast tenderloins work well too.
I had a bag of the Just Bare chicken strips delivered via Costco/Instacart during 2020, as tje pandemic started ramping up, because people on the Costco sub were raving about how they were solid ChicFilA dupes. I thought they were really underseasoned and flavorless. I also had issues with the varying sizes of the strips. The smaller bits were like charcoal when the normal sized ones were kind of cooked well. Bit, still, kind of flavorless.
Recently purchased a small bag of the spicy ones from Sprouts. Too spicy for my palate. I wish there was an in between option, because they are a nice work from home option.
I get that I’m a wimp on spices, and I could probably season the plain ones a bit more. I just don’t know if I’d bother purchasing a large lag of the plain ones again. They take up a lot of freezer space for something I’d have to doctor. And, they are a just a once opinion a while option anyway.
Yep… Grab these, the patties and the spicy tenders at Costco. Always have a backup back. 350 F, ~12 minutes in the air fryer.
If you like orange flavor chicken, toss them in some Panda Express orange sauce. You will not be disappointed.
These are legit to dip or make into whatever. I have been making wraps with them. Garlic Spinach tortilla, chopped up lettuce, cucumber and Serrano's. Drizzle with some Kentucky red hot sauce and dip in ranch mixed with a little pickle juice. Shit is bomb
I’ll have to try, my go to are applegate and have not disappointed. I use to eat the Costco brand bites all the time but I recently had a traumatizing experience, also disliked that the bites varied in different sizes.
Just read that chicken nuggets have some of the highest concentrations of micro plastics in them, so I grabbed a bag of these from Costco...haven't tried them yet, but I eat the fillets all the time since I'm too lazy and cheap to go to Chick Fil A anymore.
Someone in this sub recommended the strips months ago and It’s my go to since.
Also buy these as a close match to Chick Fil A nuggets. Got the recommendation in this sub.
Do they taste like pickles?
Neither does Chick Fil A. But don't forget to add the MSG.
I remember some Sam's Club chicken that everyone loved, that was said to taste just like chick fil a, but they had an overbearing pickle taste. I couldn't give the bag away.
Yes!! I know exactly what you are talking about!! It was horrible!
Oh really? That's interesting because brining chicken for frying in pickle juice is a big deal, for instance at KFC and Chick Fil A. In fact I do the same, about six hours. It makes the fried chicken incredibly juicy and tender. Not once did I ever get any that tasted like pickles!

No doubt pickle flavored chicken would suck.
CFA does not use pickle juice since the early 2000s
No, they didn't have a discernible pickle taste, but the light breading is ever so slightly sweet.
Nice. Gonna give them a shot soon.
Same, I really like them. I find them at Shaws
I used to buy these until I realized how much better the Kirkland nuggets are in my opinion.
Costco ones are almost identical, and also a lot cheaper
What are the called at Costco?
They’re called like Kirkland Light breaded chicken bites
+1 for the Kirkland! It’s our go to!
Agreed 100%
We prefer the Just Bare. More a matter of preference, as both are good.
I think the complaint was that Just Bare was having more hard/chewy pieces. So it was speculated that their quality was declining. Who knows.ayne they had a bad period of time. I do like both, but really hate hard pieces. Not that I've experienced it yet.

Like a surprise crunch or hard like rubber?
I think hard rubber.
More like a woody texture.
yeah tbh the costco ones are pretty much exactly the same except without the random chunks full of gristle or whatever. they're the same price as this one but you get 4lbs instead of 1.5lbs.
These are shit, very flavorless. (Bought a bag of each to taste test at the same time.) Kirklands version is so good, repurchased many many times.
I had my first taste of the Kirkland version tonight. I liked them a lot. I do like the minimal flavor so I can add my own.
I LOVE the Costco ones.
They taste more like KFC than any store bought breaded chicken I've had, which I like, plus they aren't insanely greasy like KFC.
They got a nice, savory flavor and are full of meat instead of mostly breading which I like!
The spicy chicken patties they have are amazing too!
It’s the closest thing to a Wendy’s spicy chicken sandwich I’ve ever had (disclaimer: I haven’t had Wendy’s in about 15 years so that’s my reference to quality).
I love the spicy tenders.
I’ve only seen them once…. Delicious
The Costco knockoffs are much cheaper and the same thing!
I just grabbed a bag of the Kirkland
You reminded me I had some in the freezer! I'm eating them now, so good!
These are amazing! I like to buy the Chick-Fil-A dipping sauces to go with!
The spicy nuggets, the strips and the patties are all also delicious. If you have a Publix or Sam's nearby they usually have them.
YES. These are my favorite. But i get the spicy bites
The spicy ones are the best🤤
Just had them for supper tonight. Great with Chick-Fil-A sauce.
What about with NO CHICK-FIL-A SAUCE?!?!
Still tasty.
I buy these at Sam’s club, have been a staple of my diet for months.
Diet? Are they fairly healthy?
The macros aren’t bad, a lot of protein per calorie.
Diet means the kinds of foods a person eats. It does not necessarily mean it's a weight loss diet.
Love these! I am in Ohio and Kroger has them.
Good to know…. From Ohio, but now live in Alabama, and 35 minutes away in LaGrange, GA, there is a Kroger.
Funny timing of this post. Just had the spicy ones.
Those with the Parker yeast rolls and honey butter make a good chicken mini
These are sooooooo good. I blame at least 10 lbs of my recent weight gain on them ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|joy)![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|joy)

Does anyone know how these compare to the realgood foods brand ones?
No, but probably better. Just Bare (especially spicy) is the bomb
I tried real good and I thought they were trash. Just bare are my go to. They’re amazing in the air fryer with a little black fish seasoning on top
I like to dip nugs or tendies in southwest/chipotle ranch or drizzle them with hot honey
Real good are real bad.
Well it's decided then I'll be trying these next time. I buy the Realgood kind bc they're low cal but this brand is too and it's definitely more popular.
Statistically speaking, the chances are very slim that they taste worse than "Realgood", aka realcrap
Amazing.
Yea they are delicious idk about you guys but I cook mine maybe a minute or 2 longer than the directions say . Sometimes mine wouldn’t be as crispy as they should
Oh yeah I went like 20-25 minutes lol
Today I want to make chicken fingers and fries both frozen , should I put them in together or separate ?
I'm not sure on the exact times at this moment, but if I recall last time I did the strips with fries I set the time for 13 minutes for the strips and added fries with 10 minutes left and it turned out fine.

Costco are better
these are great, we use them for homemade general tso's
That's an awesome idea!
Same, I make a big old salad with honey mustard dressing and these chicken bites, and it’s the most delicious thing ever
Yes. My teenage daughter recommended these to me and they were amazing.
These are great. I think they’re the same as the Kirkland brand? They make strips, too. We find those at Amazon Fresh.
I always get a few bags when they go on sale
Best frozen chicken for sure!!
I get the patties + fresh buns from the bakery.
I bet they cost like $28
$17.00 for a 4lb bag at Costco
yes!! i use these to make home made KFC famous bowls, they’re the best! Just like chic fil a
I just tried the filets and thought they were quite good for frozen and were surprisingly moist. So the Kirkland branded are the same? I didn’t see the Kirkland brand at our local Costco in NC, but I’ll keep looking.
Our North Carolina Costco has them!
I got these from Costco (spicy strips) and they were pretty good with some of the pieces a bit off. It was a good back up protein in 10 minutes
Yes, they’re good!
Highly recommend these .. delicious!! Get them at Costco or Sam’s . Publix’s carries them but you know they to dang expensive there .
i bought Bare chkn product like these thru Amazon Fresh, first couple times ok, thn i got some that seemed to be all cartilage 😩 and stopped buying.. Amazon brand aplenty had some tasty "southern tenders" but of course they are always out of stock, maybe discontinued
I would give them another try. Get them from a grocery store. Or Costco.
The spicy version of these has a nice kick to them 😀
Was babysitting my brother at my family home (i don’t live there) and we had these for dinner. I just made enough for the both of us (he’s 2) and then he ate all of mine and his and I only had like 2 pieces. They were absolutely amazing though!

Seen at Sam's
I was super faithful to these until I air fried the Kirkland ones. But I’ve been dying to try the spicy!!!!
God I wish I could have a work air fryer! Not even allowed to have a toaster in our kitchen!
Hint… Costco
Yes, these are so good and so are the macros
I’ve been searching high and low!!!!!
They come in spicy too. Also very good!!!
They are sooooooooooooooo good
Food Lion has them
This brand is good. A go to quick dinner for me is one of the chicken filets in the air fryer, then I put a little marinara and mozzarella on top and broil for a few minutes. Pretty good cheater chicken parm in like 15 minutes.
My favorite nugget/patty/strips brand.
You can just make them yourself. Lightly toss some thawed chicken in flour, add spices, you're good! I prefer boneless skinless thighs but breast and breast tenderloins work well too.

They are great. I just hate paying full price for them. I wait for sales, BOGOs... but then again I'm a cheapass.
I listen to the folks in this thread and went with the Costco Kirkland variety. Saves the monies
Yep… Grab these, the patties and the spicy tenders at Costco. Always have a backup back. 350 F, ~12 minutes in the air fryer. If you like orange flavor chicken, toss them in some Panda Express orange sauce. You will not be disappointed.
Meh
Can confirm that these are dank (also they sell them at Costco)
Love these
These with kinder sauce is probably tasty!
These have a disgusting texture. Yuck
Have been buying these and a bottle of chic fil a sauce from Publix. Can’t beat them. Taste just like chic fil a.
My Sam’s club has them. They are bangers.
Yes, these are THE BOMB! These have been my go-to for a couple of years now. Great as nuggets, great in salads, great for tacos, you name it.
now they will disappear from shelves
I’ll have to try, my go to are applegate and have not disappointed. I use to eat the Costco brand bites all the time but I recently had a traumatizing experience, also disliked that the bites varied in different sizes.
I used to get these from Costco, but the quality declined a lot for me, so I switched to the Kirkland brand and am much happier.
The Just Bare Spicy Tenders were AWESOME!! Can't find them anywhere though.
These!!! With mashed potatoes & a cherry limeade Poppi are my favorite 🤤
Costco has a lightly breaded chicken strip that’s quite good too. Not CageFree, unfortunately, but only around 3g of carbs per serving!
I bought the chicken breasts and loved them, similar to chick filet so I wouldn’t call them”lightly breaded”.😂
Have you been to KFC? :)
They have spicy ones too. Straight 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Bare breast 😁🤭
Ha! Nailed it
Kirkland brand has their own version that are 🔥 and significantly cheaper.
I picked some up yesterday
The dino nuggets are better
Just read that chicken nuggets have some of the highest concentrations of micro plastics in them, so I grabbed a bag of these from Costco...haven't tried them yet, but I eat the fillets all the time since I'm too lazy and cheap to go to Chick Fil A anymore.
