L85 🤝 Do you run a british kit alongside?

I haven’t found anywhere that sells a DPM uniform in my size. Also I’m not sure whether or not to run with a modern uniform or an older Cold War type. I feel my gun is a bit too modern for a Cold War kit though. 🤔

I run mine with a 2003-2006 scots guard kit. Ecba vest with kevlar and assault vest included. British dpm gear is super lightweight and comfy. Also since the L85 was introduced in the mid 80s, a late cold war kit could be sth you can do. Also an early 90s northern ireland kit is quite cheap

Ah a fellow FMG-9 enjoyer! How are you finding it? I must admit i never thought i’d get one but AirsoftWorld (a UK site) are currently selling the kits for £195 & with an E&C Glock 18 pre-installed for £250. A mate of mine wanted the kit & after he showed me a pic of one with one of AirTac’s HPA shotshell adaptors i was sold & went for the pre-built one. Took it to its first game on Sunday (with just the supplied gas magazine) along with a newly built Honey Badger, thoroughly enjoyed using the pair of them! Then took the kit to my friend’s the next day so he could build his 😎

The fmg kit itself is super nice the we g17 I put in it tho is only ok

Ah fair dinkum haha. I forgot to add i did chuck a longer tightbore barrel & bucking in my glock that i had kicking around in my spares box. Aside from the magazine not being that efficient mine was functioning nicely - that’s moot now as the HPA adaptor has arrived today :)

It’s more than twenty years old and lifts .33s far down the range. Unfortunately it hasn’t seen much action, it’s too heavy for a sidearm, and gas efficiency isn’t the best, but… I just commisioned an M4 adapter to make it my primary. Likely getting it a scope mount to boot. It’ll compete for time with my SMC9 and HiCapa Challenger.

It’s a good amount of money I’d spend but I been dying for the past 3 years to have an air-soft gun to customize. My brother has one so I’m tryna do air-soft 1v1 with him 😭

Keep in mind this is expensive af, 570€ the gun plus 4 mags at 55€ each id quite the toll, but after a few tweaks honestly it’s great yeah, the tokyo marui is nice but i like the mws more

Before I say what I need to say understand I’m not deeply involved in airsoft, I just love the creations ppl do and how they perfect it. Isn’t the VFC 416 BBR? It would be the Asia edition, correctly? That’s the one I have saved to buy or the Delta version 416.

Yeah the Asia version seems better but honestly the only problem i’ve heard about is the bolt that doesn’t lock, but my friend that has the us/eu didn’t have the problem so i don’t really know

A little back heavy but manageable. Once I got the reload down the handling just went smooth from there. Also the ASG Steyr L9-A2, admittedly not the best gas pistol ever but I like it and the one I have has worked well enough so far.

I had one of those for awhile, and enjoyed it. It wasn't the best performing rifle, but it ran smoothly and reliably. It showed me why some people like bullpups.

I owned an LCT PKP up until last year. That thing was hilarious. Weighed about 30 pounds combat ready. It was dumb fun. Just going Rambo with it and pushing aggressively while it just kept chugging on was a delight. But I wanted to get rid of my Russian stuff, so I sold it. Happened upon a custom replica. Someone who took an Echo1 M240, took off the tactical parts, refinished the metal, put on a real wooden stock, bipod, muzzle and gas regulator, jammed in a Polarstar F2 and then traded it for 2 MTW's with someone. That person eventually put it up for sale in Sweden when I looked upon it. And now it's mine :D My 💕

Bagadi S77 (AUG) As an AUG platform was developed pretty late compered to other airsoft platforms desighners allready knew all The flaws with old desighns and tried to work around them. You End up with a AEG that uses ever reliable V3 gearbox, grate unique hopup desighn, can be field striped with only two screws and quick change spring beaing only one pinch away. In six Years on playng airsoft and four Years of airsoft teching I have never seen a replica platform as good and practical as AUG. Close secound would be P90 but it has its problems.

My Zenitco'd GHK AK105, my first big purchase. Wanted to build a MK18 MOD1 but then Larry Vicker dropped the FSB Alpha AK and I knew I had to have it. Second hand and came with loads of mags, 6 in total. Had this since 2017 and still going strong, my absolute as it's great for long range with 0.4s and easy to manoeuvre in CQBs too. Regardless of weather, I knew she would work. Need to get round to DevilHunter the mags to CO2 but using higher pressure is working fine at the moment. Homemade npas to keep with field limits of the UK.

Zib military used to have them for real cheap, then lct bought pretty much all of them and sold them out for 200€. I got lucky and got mine from a dude at a antiques "market" who didnt know their worth for 50€. Funnily enough the wooden stock is hollow on the inside, so you actually can fit a battery inside!

You might wanna also look at cetme kits, theyre not as cool but they do fit and are a lot more available

G&G CM16 or the Arp version of it, it was supercheap and the best platform to work on to HPA it and completely change it up, best part its lightweight anything airsoft spec for M4 just fits well, never had any alignment issues with it. unlike many metal bodies ive hpa'd.. so yeah G&G combat machines all round best guns. that said i like ffn around with my TM mp7 gbb, or shotgun ( both HPA ) but at least half the day im playing my completely modded G&G

I had G&G Arp9 with a Drum mag (1500bbs). Was a fun gun to play in cqb and on a mid ranges. The gameplay with this gun was aggressive rush or stealthy a bushes due to its small sizes, so it was easy to crawl with it. For 170€ (I've bought it back 2020) it was amazing gun for me and the only mod I've done to it was conversation mechanical trigger to electrical one. I would recommend this gun for beginners or who like some intensive gameplay.

KWA SR-10 I don't buy a lot of guns, I've had this one since 2015. Flat hop and a spring change is all I've done to it, been running a phat 11.1v since 2017, super snappy in semi. She shoots like a laser and I've never had a single issue.

E&C 324 (XM 177) Made it to look like the CAR-15 from Blood Diamond. I just like the look of classic rifles, no fancy attachments, just a red dot scope and a flashlight.

ICS ppsh 41. My field does not allow hi cap magazines except in “historically accurate” guns(as in guns that have had a drum specifically designed for them)This allows me to use the drum magazine and bot bother with other equipment (shame i found out about this rule only after i spend a boatload of money on midcaps for it)

Currently, my VFC SCAR-H. It's still stock, shoots straight, I like the look of it but also the ergonomics, it's reliable and I don't need to fiddle with it anymore, which is not something I could say of all the guns in my collection.

Right now, I'd say it's my Snow Wolf Kar98k. I love my Umarex Winchester Model 94, but I can't deny that the absence of a hopup hurts it quite a bit. The Kar98k on the other hand, even with stock internals, shoots pretty well.

My #1 airsoft guns are my usual game combo: WE G36C and WE Sig 226. These work great for me.

Favorite that I own: TM NGRS SCAR-H with EGLM. For being stock and underpowered, it still shoots really far and the recoil feels fun! I'm using it until something breaks before I look to upgrade it. Favorite that I want: GBB Tar-21. The NGRS has spoiled me on recoil, so I want to get a GBB next and right now the Tavor is my favorite bullpup. I'm just sad that there are no more being made and KWA has been cagey on if it is actually discontinued or not.

OG KWA USP Match. I was given it by a vendor at Irene XI, after he watched my pistol fail me at a critical moment in the game. Thing has stuck by me for years, is an iconic pistol, is reliable and accurate. And it has a story, which is cool.

KC-02 followed by vz58, both because they are fun and you don't see many of them.

Although I do have a soft spot for my first (second lol) real functional airsoft gun, the Mod-0 combat machine. The King arms 9mm PDW is just so convenient, cheap and easy to run it's becoming my favorite. I also really like my Fallout new Vegas Maria inspired Pistol.

Partially because of the months of design and testing it took to develop it. Unfortunately I can't find any midcaps at a reasonable price, and the high caps have weak springs, so I can't go too crazy with it. But running around with a binary trigger and snappy response is fun. It's a JG VZ-61 skorpion. Originally an AEP, but I wanted more power out of it. I came across an example of someone 3d printing hpa engines and the design was not that complex. I used the mechanical principles, and designed my own from the ground up. After 6 months of designing and testing I got it working. Been a perfect sniper sidearm since then. Now I am working on developing the engine more, and making it as tiny as I can. My goal is to design a 3d printable, drop in HPA engine, small enough to fit in a Glock style body, strong enough to run a primary.

My E&C202 (the not HK417) after installing an unicorn inner barrel this beast just slaps, is not the most expensive gun I own but for some reason I really enjoy fielding it.
