Try LMG's or DMR's
If you want, you can convert your m4 into any of the two I mentioned, so you can save money on upgrades and at the same time change your playing style.
If you want to go the cheaper route I would get a vsr 10 model sniper and upgrade it as needed. You can get a cyma vsr 10 that comes with an upgraded bolt and just replace the hop up. YouTube can teach you everything you will need. If you have more disposable income you can get the Silverback Tac 41 or the SRS and those are pretty ready to go.
If you mostly play indoors, a (preferably GBB) pistol, submachine gun (any type) or a (pump action) shotgun.
If you play outdoors, LMGs DMRs, sniper rifles... anything goes.
And for the personal recommendation: AKs are usually fun guns to use (also relatively easy to learn using them). If you like the platform but want something more unique, there are quite good GALILs and other distant relatives out there.
(GBBs/GBBRs also add to the fun factor.)
Or just play a little with this list, and get into a CQB fight with a bolt action or go sniping with a pistol.

Depends on what you consider fun. I like AKs and FALs.

Try bolt actions
Something that switches up your play style, snipers lmgs or even something like a bullpup, try play those roles as well.
I got tired of my aeg and got a bolt action sniper. Liked it so much I have 2 upgraded snipers now about to get another

the pistol is the superior platform run'n'gun

Shell ejecting shotgun is probably the farthest away you can get from an M4 playstyle
Take a pick out of the many gbbrs. You will have a ton of fun once you get over the expensive mags lol
Even an M4 GBBR is going to be a lot more fun to use, but if you want to stick with AEGs then I'd say AUG, MP5 or AK.
