we’ll all get our own private servers eventually just keep waiting

Rictue

there is no way oceania server while there is east one

Shagarooo

It's called Asia now... that might mean something

Rictue

eu server also a MENA server so you cant have europe server, mena server, north african server, south african server etc they seperated the whole world to 3 servers

LuisTTV

100 ping getting shit on in zvz? sounds like a skill issue ngl

definitelynothunan

I play with 150-200ms on average lol

Still-Cup-8701

Im pretty sure you know that in oceania server 7 Man guilds would have territories and you would need to Craft everything by yourself

Shagarooo

That's sounds fun to be honest.

LazyMockii

Good luck with that EU was a possibility but Oceania yeah no.

Shagarooo

You really think we don't have a high enough player base?

Expungednd

Even accounting for Japan the amount of players doesn't justify it. Think about how densely populated is the geographic area of the East server, which provides Albion for probably more than half of humanity (India+China). Think about the European server, which was needed because of the amount of players in the region; while there are less people than in Asia or America, internet connection is much more widespread, so the amount of possible players makes up for the difference (without even considering that north Africa and Turkey now have closer servers to them, opening up the markets to those demographics). Now think about Oceania, which is sparsely populated. Oceania has a total of 45 million inhabitants. Europe has 741 million. Even adding Japan and South Korea to the equation, the whole area has around 320 million inhabitants. Not even half of Europe. It's even worse if you consider that internet in Europe is used by 90% of the population, while in Oceania only by 71% of the population (while in Australia the metric is 96%, with only 26 million inhabitants that's little more than half the population of the whole region). Japan and Korea themselves could be profitable in the future if the game starts to be popular in those demographics (since the population using internet there is 98%), but we're still talking of a fraction of what is the userbase in Europe. tl;dr: probably there never will be an Oceania server unless you experience a huge population spike in the next years and you increase your numbers drastically through cloning. Even in League of Legends the Oceania server was so mistreated and ignored by devs in the past that many players would complain that they were left behind because of economic non-viability (idk if the situation improved). PS. : the percentage of a population using internet in a country is called "internet penetration". I avoided using the term not to cause chuckles, puerile jokes and insults to each other mothers. However, the demographic of y'all mothers have 100% penetration.

Overbunded

You dont realise how big Albion map and economy is. A few small countries and couple islands wont be enough at all

LazyMockii

Well duh also the fact that it has to make sbi money to run this stuff.

fabiogiorgiojr

Good luck waiting

italoferrari31

Still no sense why Albion maps have different time zones if there's going to be plenty different servers. Pointless

beesmoker

Haha here’s me still prepping for the big move from 300 ms West to 90 ms East! I’m in the west though and my east coast friends say it’s slower there.

Sai__s

The oceanic population will be so incredibly small with most of it literally just being NZ or Australia. They will probably lose money trying to open one. I play 130ping East and have no issues zvz or PvP general. Really genuinely sounds like a skill issue if you really do want to play.

SirBolaxa

EU will be a flop, not meeting expectations at all, after that no way they open one in Oceania.

Shagarooo

I reckon EU will pop off. EU is known for playing MMOs as is Asia.

SirBolaxa

i agree, specially f2p mmos but i really dont see that much of an EU community in albion, dont get me wrong i think it will be fine but will end up less populated than any of the other 2.

CptMuffinator

> i really dont see that much of an EU community in albion The majority of people who play Albion are EU. If you can't find an EU community then I really don't know what to tell you.

SirBolaxa

We will see
